I don't mind them every so often (as long as they're not abused - the friends ping is the worse, especially with people quoting it >.<), but for the most part, I felt like no one really listened.

but, jelly has a task set for Poet to reach 50k posts

Oh gosh the myfriends ping... I have removed people from my friend list for abusing that owo you get those ping quote spirals and it's horrible!

I've been told that I shouldn't have a lot of friends on my friend's list if I don't like being pinged, either by friend's pings, or by pings in general. >.< Even then, they still plague me.

i try to not ping unless i know you need to see something
and if i could ping myself i would do that and then quote it when i see you

Well it's a good way to avoid the myfriends ping but normal pings? How does that change?

hummy: Oh, I don't mind being pinged if it is something that I really do need to see or if it's important. You're fine there with the pings. It's just when people just do it all the time, not to call attention to a certain post or something, that it bothers me.

i couldn't get my post to post
it kept saying my message was too short
the only thing i had done was quote ._Crim's post
and ping Crim to that post

i asked Poet to try to post my post and Poet couldn't post it either
but after taking out the ping, it posted.
so we need to address the glitch of pings for Crim
=)
