I started fishing today, and lost most of my gold

I decided to just fish a little bit each day, it doesn't seem so bad how much gold I lost then. But looking back, it's still a lot of gold lost. XD;
I'm at around 110 experience right now, and can't wait to reach 400. XD

my friends tell me I need about 500 before I start getting back what I loose at first.

Probably. From what I read from the fishing FAQ, at about 400 or so, you start getting profit from the day, not necessarily fully gaining back the gold lost from the first 400 experience points. >.<

I'm hoping I'll actually stick with it long enough to earn back what I lost and more. XD

Oh, fishing is really great way to make gold! It needs a bit of gold at the beggining, but after getting about 400-500 exp you start making profit and in a few days you'll get all lost gold back ^^
I try to fish everyday now! But I have quite big experience, because I fish since... umm... December? x3

Menewshan staff must have been really smart in thinking up the fishing game system. All the gold lost in the beginning would scare away newbies from spending more gold, were it not for experienced users saying one would make it up later anyway, and fast! XD

Gaia's fishing, on the other hand, is pretty easy to get into, once you get the hang of handling the mouse. And then there's "unlimited" bait per game played; plus, profit can be earned from the very first fishing trip. But somehow, trying hard to control the fishing rod on Gaia just makes it much more disappointing when the fish is lost. Here, you just click a button so you don't feel as bad. XD;;;

Yes. Personally, I really like the fact that you need a bit of gold to actually start fishing. Like a normal investment, haha. You don't get profits just like that, it needs a bit of time xD

On Gaia you really have to focus on fishing, to keep the fish between the lines. For me it was kinda boring in the long run, and profits prom one fishing aren't that good xd
On Mene you don't feel as bad, I agree, but when you accidentaly get something like 5 (or even more!) misses in a row...? xD You know that you can really lost gold (maybe if you have a lot of experience it's not as possible as when it's small, but still... it could happen ;>) if you don't catch enough fish or other things. On Gaia you fish till you get 25 things, which in most of cases is over the cost of one bait grade F xD

Thus, the reason I've stopped fishing on Gaia, besides the many ongoing problems they've been having on their games, of course. XD;
It depends where you fish and how well. Plus, I kept getting bait for free from the daily chance anyway, so everything was profit. XDD

Oh yes, so far, I think I've gotten 3 misses in a row? It didn't make me feel very happy. XD;
But I must say, it's pretty funny to think that catching a broken tv would make me really happy at this level of experience. XDD

Yeah, when I get quite much misses in a row, I'm starting to be a bit angry and disappointed xd It makes me thinking 'is it going to be like that for ALL today's fishing?' xD
Catching broken tv means that you have luxk XDDD
In a few days you will be really happy when you catch Natu or Redrib... although, for Natu you get only 4g, 1 more than for a broken TV xDD *not that big difference, but... it's a FISH*

Hehe, I even started selling back the bait from the fishing store since I was too lazy to put them in the marketplace. XD;
