I love the movie as well!
I lot of people hate what Bale does to his voice when he's Batman but I kinda like it, I mean he doesn't need to sound nice or anything he's supposed to be all dark even though he helps people.
Heath was of course brilliant, the joker was so crazy but Heath really brought life to him, made him human and yet not. I hadn't even realized that the reason for his smiley make-up was because he had scars, when he said that it made it even more sinister I got the shivers, it makes you understand how a child could grow up to be like him.

I saw the Dark Knight and I must say I this movie is one of the best out of all the Batman movies that have come out. This joker really creeps me out.

not a huge fan of the new Batman characters.
Joker kills because he thinks its funny and he is sociopath.
pretty much, he could careless about his childhood.

was he talking like that when he was in the batman suit so noone would reconize him? you would think with all the tech he has that he could get a voice changer.
It also bugged me a lot how quickly he let one of his few loyal followers resign on him. That he ever pushed things that far is one thing, but then to just go through with it anyway? There is no replacement for someone like Lucius Fox.

And of course, as always with superhero stories, its amazing that so few people every figure out their identity. How do the people closest to them manage to not notice so much?

I really enjoyed the Batman Begins movie. Something about the way Christian Bale's mouth moves when he talks irks me, though. I'm sure I've seen other Batman movies, but I don't really remember them. I don't watch superhero movies much. I do want to see The Dark Knight, though. My sister saw it and has told me about it, and it sounds pretty neat. I probably won't watch it until it comes out on DVD or something, though.

I saw Dark Knight last night and didn't really like it. I have Batman & Robin and liked that one better, but I guess that's just my taste.

Except for the Christopher Nolan movies, I haven't seen much of the Batman franchise that I can particularly remember. I've liked the idea of Batman since I was quite young (I guess it was the whole dark, mysterious thing . . . and I really liked bats, too), but I've forgotten the few of the early nineties cartoons that I ever saw, and so the Nolan movies have kind of become the image of Batman that I expect.

As for Batman taking the blame for the deaths, Gotham does, of course, need Harvey as its hero just then, and putting the few deaths on any one else, however much they may also have against them, would go against Batman's (or Wayne's) sense of proper justice. Also, I think, the mainstream of Gotham kind of needs to vent the antagonism that has been building against Batman throughout this movie; given time, they'll come around again - nothing is more fickle than public opinion - but for now they need to believe what is best for them to believe, rather than to know the truth.

the new ones are obviously aimed at Adults or people who are not into Comicbooks
so i have no idea why there are so many kids toys out.

every time that cereal commercial about the Batman and Joker toy came on, i cringe
the little kid going "Yaaaa nyeaaaaa!"

Having different actors play Batman was a risk that fortunately paid off (for them who want the big money). I guess that's why the franchise lasted this long - as much as I sort of liked Michael Keaton and the quirky charm he brought to the first Batman, I don't think he can sustain an entire slew of them (setting aside aging).

It's the first time I haven't seen a Batman movie. As much as I also like Christian Bale among all the other Batmans that came after Keaton (most hated: George Clooney), I don't know, for some reason, this new one didn't capture my interest.

As some of you said, it must this slobbering Joker. That or I'm not a big Batman fan at all.

okay..got to see the movie at the Dollar theater.

first off... what is with that annoying high pitched "Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee *abrupt stop*!!" sound every time there was a "tension" moment? it was completely annoying! and it distracted me from what was going on half the time! it used over and over i was getting physically ill just listening to it.

i will stick by my opinion and say Christian Bale makes a bad Batman. he makes an alright Bruce, but a Batman? heck no!
and that grumbling gargling gravel voice he (or the director) decided was good. was just laughable.

and The Joker wasn't funny... he was just serious. one thing people like about Joker, is that the character can make them laugh at the dismay of others. for this he was just an angry clown. and i really really didnt like the dirty hobo look at all. The Joker is quite a clean character, he would never let himself look like crap from the street.

was it the worse Batman? nope
but it just didnt have charm, it was just dark through and through.

I'm a bit of a Batman fanatic, so I've seen every Batman film - even the kid's cartoon ones. XD

I absolutely can't wait for the new one to come out, I just know it'll be fantastic! :D

I really love Christopher Nolan's vision of Gotham, it's so tragic I love that.

My favourite older Batman film though is probably Batman Returns, because I love the penguins in it. :P

I love The Dark Knight and Batman Begins. Not because of Christian Bale, well maybe a bit, but the plots are amazing and I just love the dark themes to it.
