I remember when I started. I didn't have the diagnose ring.
People would walk up to me and diagnose me. I'd be going "What? what was that?". It was pretty funny. Finally one stuck around long enough for me to ask what ring it was.

I find kill-stealing to be appallingly rude, but it's only to be expected on a site with so many kids and jerks. I often want to tell people to go away when they come to "help" me when I don't need it. But I can't type fast enough to tell them to get lost without ending up dazed.
I also really dislike the fact that it's pretty impossible to complete some quests without being in a crew, because I don't WANT to be forced to team up with people.
But other than that, zOMG is fun.

I try to stay away from crews also.
One time I joined one to see what would happen, and everybody went in a different direction. What's up with that?

I prefer to crew with just one other person.
I got a gal to help with the OMGWTF. She said she had done it before, but when we got there, she didn't know how to do it. We both got creamed in seconds.
Pretty funny.
I ended up going back there after I'd beefed up, and getting him myself.

Me neither. Die in a crew, die on your own, can't do the quest with a CL of more than 4.1...stuff that for a game of soldiers...
Threads in zOMG forum say you need ring polishers and rechargers to do it. So in other words, you need to pay cash to be able to complete some of the quests. I only have the chargers and 1 polisher that I got from doing the quests in Barton when I started, and I'm not willing to pay thousands for more in the MP.

I got some of the $10 gift cards at 7-Eleven, so they came with an action pack in them. There are some ring polishers and superchargers as a part of the pack.
I'll send you a ring polisher. (Least I can do for the white ink you sent me)

I still have to squash OMGWTF but I don't quite have the stamina yet to withstand the onslaught of his minions all by myself. Almost, but not quite.
I haven't ever been in a crew since I basically just started but I get invites all the time. I won't join up with someone I don't know or seems noobish but I will help out if I come across a person surrounded by stuff. I'll get a shot or two in to help or I'll give them some healing.

At least his minions come only 2 at a time, if you stay up by the gate.
I first made the mistake of coming further away from the gate, and they came more quickly.
Edit: No wait... I think that I came away from the gate a bit, so it wouldn't ring more... was that it?
I can't remember.

I found they come three at a time, but if you have two people with you it's fine. Though I enjoy just standing in the middle of stuff and frying it with my Fire Rain ring. That thing amusing me intently!
I'll go run around the farm level until I have about 10 grumpy garlics all around me, then roast them all, though the best lols are from getting about 12 gnomes and 8 flamingoes all in one go in the village greens.
Don't mess with me you little leg-humpers!

Ha! I haven't tried the Fire Ring.
I'm a Dervish person, myself! I love to watch them fly away, then *clunk* they fall over.

Yes, I have shark attack, that's funny, as is the heavy water balloon, I think what mainly keeps me playing zOMG is the overall silliness xD

I think that's the way I'm going to play it. Double-orb it so I can buff up the rings, and then try and get all the different rings I can to play with.

I downgrade and go ring-stalk in the Village Greens, I've picked up a nice lot of extra rings by doing that.

How so? I've heard people mention that before, but I'm not sure what you do?
Down-grade to what level? Where do you get the rings?

I need to go back and try and get more rings... D:

Take enough rings off to be at a CL where you can actually get drops from the Village Green's animated again. I just have my diagnose and whatever attack ring that I've picked up but not charged much.
You want to be at 2.1 or below or something. Check out what colour the backgrounds/those indicator thingies of the animated are. They want to be green or gold for you to get stuff from them. Blue gives less drops, purple gives nothing at all.
but if you run around killing stuff that's green or gold you'll collect loot, orbs and the odd ring quite happily

I never buy those items that include chance, since my luck always sucks. I once opened one of those boxes (which were going for around 20k in the Markets at that time) a friend gave me and got a Brown Giftbox which opened up to some random thing that was worth less than 50g. -_-;

Oh yeah!! Something odd has happened in my mule's inventoy. I had a brown chest that I'd found a couple of years ago, I'd had it sat on a shelf in her house for ages. I had a clear our recently and was going to sell it, but the value is so crap now I didn't bother. But it's not in her inventory any more, it's been replaced by this pretty blue chest!
I looked that up on Tektek and it says that's out of some random box of some kind, I'm completely confused!

I had been off zOMG for a few months, but the recent Easter event has brought me back... for now. I'm just been doing what I did before. Killing drums for orbs. :P I have about 250 saved up.
