Little kid seem to LOVE me. A lot of them stare at me and I make faces at them and they start giggling. And even when I was a bit younger, they'd always laugh at the things I did. I don't remember all my little kid encounters, but I do think a few of them have talked to me and I've understood them and said something to make them laugh. I have to say, I like children. They are so cute and innocent. I've just about always enjoyed their company.

If you guys can't really understand the kids, then you could say 'oh, that's nice!' or something of the like. Just acknowledge them. They like that a lot. xD Even making funny faces helps.
If they are being bratty and grabbing, I wouldn't confront them too much. Parents butt clench when strangers get onto their kids (some do anyway). Though gently taking your stuff back and saying something like 'please don't touch that' is better.

You know what I do to block out their crying in stores? Cry with them. Don't actually cry, just softly make the "ahhhhasdjkfjds ahahah! :gonk:" noise they make. Blocks them out a little and it's funny. |D /isadork

Now, I treat my cats like little kids. I twirl them around by their tails and give them baby talk. I even get onto them like they're little kids. Though...I don't think people throw their kid into the air and onto the couch. e ,e

I'd be giving my kids weird and mean names like Slappa B. Itch (totally stole that from my friend).
And like, dress my little boys in girls clothing and stuffs.
