Most of the greyish shade, I find it hard to believe they are watercolour...

It's rare to find one that uses watercolours.. I think it's more common in manwha than manga.

The amazing thing about screen tone is, it just uses black and white...<3

I like how Naruto has those 'paintbrush' effect in some of the drawings, like Amaterasu flames, or Sai's drawings. Looks really different from other mangas when drawing fire. :3

I can't remember the last time I used screen tones. I can never seem to properly master them, so I stick to black and white inking.

I've only briefly used screen tones back in junior high, so that's like almost ten years ago. xDD;;
Could never get them to properly stick on the paper and the pieces I cut off are to tiny for me to properly apply glue on it without getting it stuck on my fingers instead, so eventually I just gave up on them. >.>
I suppose it'd be easier if done digitally...

The proper screen tones do not seem to use glue... the expensive ones.
They have some kind of adhesive on it, you just need to scratch on it...
but yeah, if you go for knock offs and cheapos, it is hardcore cut and glue.

I use digital~ no mess~ huge library I can resize anything and edit as I want.

Yeah, the kind I bought was slightly sticky on one side. It would stick on the paper, but after a while if brushed with anything, it'd fall off. x __x

well, tones are just like mono coloured/shaded. XD
It just comes with a good library of patterns.
