Nothing, really. We're all just hanging out. Rad and I are discussing guitars and bass.

A Rickenbacker is my dream bass.
It's got the sound and style I just love, and all my favourite bassists have used or still use Rickenbacker bass guitars.
Geddy Lee, Chris Squire, and even Les Claypool to name a few.

I wish I could practice, but my bass is busted up.
And as I said earlier, it cost about as much as the worth of the second hand bass, to fix it.
I also don't have that kinda money to spend.
The pickup is busted which cost a good $100+ to replace.
That right there is about how much my parents spent on this bass.
Otherwise, I also need to fix the tuning knob on the A string, since it got stripped out while tuning it.
So the A is flat and can't be tuned, which makes it sound horribadawful.

It was bought second hand, so it already had a slowly deteriorating pickup.
Eventually, it just got so bad that on the AMP, it's a loud loud LOUD buzzing.

Ugh. I'm sorry, those ARE expensive, especially if you replace it with something that'll actually last you any worthwhile length of time.
Have a good night, D.

Yeah, they're just fender p-bass pickups, even though the bass itself is Silvertone.
Silvertone doesn't seem to have their own branding to the pickup, so it cost about $100-$120 USD for new fender p-bass pickups. :/

x_X Honestly, at that rate, you should just get a standard entry level bass. It'll cost you more, about $400 USD, but it'll last longer and won't need repair.

*Is completely broke, owes over $380 USD, and is swamped with prepaid commissions, about 40+*
Besides that, if I buy any bass in the future, I'm going all out and getting either a classic Rickenbacker 4001 (Depending on if I can find a rare colour, or make.) for around the $3200 USD. OR just get a new Rickenbacker 4003 for around the $1,200-$1,500 USD range.

It's the thought that counts. XD
But yeah, last year I had done a zillion commissions, and got prepaid, so I could afford a $1,500 computer.

That's thoughtful and generous for a complete stranger.
And not to add to a sob story or anything, but just recently, since my parents are also broke and we're living off my Dad's EI.
I had to pay for the internet bill, with my January tax return.
Which isn't much to begin with, being that I haven't had a job since 2006, and it was only a month long.
And the bill being unreasonably high, due to Shaw owning the cable out here, so it's unreasonably high cause they can get away with that shit.
That and I had a LOOOONG story mishap with my new computer, so I gotta get new RAM for it. >_>
Even after getting a new mobo too.
Geez, I just have bad luck all around, don't I? XD

I've done it before, to be honest. =P I make more than I really need right now, and I save plenty so I can afford to give some.
.....How did you burn out your RAM? Honestly, I didn't even know you could -DO- that!
Hm....
I'll see what I can pull out of my rear, but don't expect anything major!
