Tabs are fairly easy to learn, really. I used to know a program that would write midis if you put tabs in them for songs, but I've forgotten what it is ._. I'll ask around about it.

I can find a few reference sites for learning tabs if you like.

I know guitar pro, but it's a piece of crap after you realize it.
I know how to read tabs, it's just writing proper tabs that goes over my head.

I wish I could write out stories and what not, let along compose music. I draw. That's about it XD

Get Fruity loops. (Or FL Studio as it's now known as)
It's a good beginners app for composing music, but it's still got quite a lot of complexity to it for the more intermediate and advanced users.
As soon as I've mastered that shit, I'll move on up to Reason. (More complex composition program.)

I have a friend who uses Reason. Yeah, I don't write tabs or anything, I just kind of write it in my head and memorize it. xD

My head is full of junk, so there isn't room for writing music and memorization.
I know they say you can't unlearn how to ride a bike and all that, but I bet I could prove that wrong.
It has been a good 8 years at least, since I've even been in close proximity of a bicycle.

My head is full of biology (My major before I switched to English =P) and English so there! Not even remotely related to music! Just practice, seriously.

It's not that easy for me, I literally have no memory going on.
It just cuts off, I can't remember any passwords on my own, so I have to keep them written down somewhere.
And visual memory is a bugger, so it's a big surprise I can draw at all.

But really, it's all practice.

I'm sure it is, but practice can only take me so far before it becomes a matter of how well my memory will handle it.

Normally I would play some Vindictus, but it's going to go down for scheduled maintenance in 40 minutes anyway, so it wouldn't give me much time to play.
And I'd play TF2 instead, but I just haven't felt like it lately.
Plus with only 2GB of RAM and a partitioned section of it for FireFox, I'd have to turn off RAMDisk and shut down FF before playing, and it's too much a hassle. :C
