I mostly hate taking pills probably because a few years back I had a cyst and i had to be on antibiotics and it made me so sick i nearly vomited on the car ride home. Which was 3 hours.

And when i got home i slept about...15 hours.

But anyways those pills were rather huge.

I dislike taking pills too!!

Just to let y'all know - I may be not around much in the coming few weeks. We're dealing with a major family crisis that decided to rear it's stupid ugly head in the wee hours of last night, and I need to focus on that. Just know that me, the hubs and the girls are all okay.. but it's something that's totally thrown me off so if I'm not around much, know I'll do my best to get on when I can. But I can't guarantee that it's going to be often. (It isn't going to help with my disappearing acts that life usually pulls on me in general. )

I don't mind taking pills if they're for my health. I can swallow pretty big ones with the help of my good friend water :D But I can understand why some people dislike them.

LiviInLove, *hugs* thank you for letting us know. Glad to hear you're all okay and hope the crisis can be resolved, and soon :o <3 and no worries; real life takes priority!

Sal: It's more a situation that is something I have to come to terms with rather than it being completely resolved - although we are praying that it will be resolved. :( But that's in the big picture.

Ah yeah... antibiotics are no fun. I don't even like touching antibiotics, but I do pretty much every day.

Livi - I'm sorry... my first thought was "in-laws came over" when you said crisis

I couldn't even take the antibiotics after that. I just couldn't. It made me way too sick.

Where was your cyst, Fuu-Chan that they had you take antibiotics? :o (if you don't mind my asking)

I don't think anyone really likes to take antibiotics but it's necessary sometimes :o like if they have an H pylori infection causing gastric and duodenal ulcers and which could potentially lead to maltomas and adenocarcinomas, then better complete the triple (or in some cases quadruple) therapy (which includes antibiotics).

It was on my face.
And I have a scar from it. I basically had to squeeze the bacteria out of it.
Kinda like what you do when you have a zit that is full of puss. XD

I know i made things gross now.
But the bacteria was making me so ill I couldn't eat, or sleep.
And my relatives lecturing me on eating...was not helping.

Do you know of "the weird side of Youtube" where they have videos of cyst and zit popping, blackhead squeezing, and other things of that sort? I think people actual get some money from ads for uploading their videos, haha

How come they were lecturing you on eating o.o was the cyst caused by diet? or did it have to do with their thinking it was acne, which some people associate with diet?

Popping black heads is actually bad because your body actually needs them.
I forgot why but yeah don't pop them cause some of the black heads aren't even black heads.

And i wasn't eating due to the bacteria in my system from the cyst.
they were telling me to eat because i was barely eating. I barely ate because everything made me lose my appetite, and i thought i would vomit just by eating a small bite. Even if the food was good.

It was years ago.
But i still have the scar.
my family was making a huge deal of it making a scar and the doctor was like "well she could have plastic surgery to cover it up.." and I am like "seriously? You are worried more about a scar then how I feel? the bacteria at this rate would make me so sick i'd probably stop eating all together.." It drove me nuts.

I think some of the black heads aren't even black. If they are brown then they aren't black heads but actually kind of like holes in your skin and that is how your skin breathes I believe. I could be wrong. But i think that is what they are.

These are the kinds of blackheads I get if I don't squeeze them out occasionally:

SPOILERX

Hid it in spoiler tags in case anyone wanders in and doesn't want to see it haha

I've heard people call scars "badges of honor" or something along those lines..."war scars?" I forget what the phrase was, oops. But I think their intention was to put a positive spin on scars because it's more important that the person with the scar overcame the illness or surgery or whatever they had to go through. The scar, assuming it's healed and not bleeding or causing trouble anymore, is just a cosmetic thing.

They look brown to me and if they are brown they aren't actually black heads they are holes in the skin for the skin to breathe or something along those lines.

the only trouble it is causing is looking stupid on m face and makes me self conscious.
I am sure there is a natural way to get rid of scars.
So I'll have to look that up.

Have you heard of Mederma? I have a relative who got a scar on their face after an accident, and the Mederma helped heal the scar very nicely, to the point of almost not even being visible anymore. But it didn't work for some really tough scars that I have. So I guess it works for some cases but not others.

My cyst scar is a kind of rough scar
so it wont work.

I can't remember if I've ever seen a photo of you where the scar was visible, like in the photos thread *tries to remember*

I used Mederma three times on three different occasions and it never worked for my tough scars. I think it works best on new scars. But then on the other hand, I feel like it's a glorified lotion made of onion extract

The only other possibilities I can think of right now are make-up or shooting the scar with a laser at the dermatologist's

I have an awesome mother in law. the rest are kind of frustrating. and i think hubby feels the same way about my family but the awesome people are my dad and brother.. but no seriously. my entire family can be frustrating but that may be because im trying to raise my own family and they want to treat me like I'm 5 years old and dumb. two seperate things. not that 5 year olds are dumb. Not when my 3 and 2 year old are the worlds biggest trouble making smarty pants.

Take care livi. Hope everything gets worked out quickly and smoothly. and look forward to being around when you do get back <3

as far as pills go. i just stopped.. taking. OMG MY BIRTHC ONTROL CRAP! stopped taking a UTI med today . cause.. low and behold. I didn't friggin have one. LIKE I TOLD THE DOCTOR. -.-

"but there's blood in your pee when we tested for pregnancy"
...
...

...
I just ended my period yesterday.. are you serious? you're worried that a few drops were left behind and got in my pee and made a UTI when i have NO SYMPTOMS for a uti???? I.. hate... doctors.

Well...you don't need to show symptoms to have a UTI. UTIs are pretty common especially in young females. I had one a few months ago that's just resolving right now by itself. I only knew because my urine test a few months ago showed a lot of bacteria. And now, there are no more bacteria, but still white blood cells and such.

Of course I'm not saying you had one or anything! Just sharing my experience with it lol. The doctor was probably just telling you what the laboratory (that tests all the blood and urine and stuff) told them on the report.

Guys... I lose enough faith in doctors at work hearing the pharmacists complain how stupid doctors are being.... I don't have much more to lose D:

If I remember right you don't really need anything for a UTI. Sure we have medications, but the ideal route is to drink a LOT of water. Sure it will burn for a while but it will clean out your system naturally. Additionally, for a UTI you should be contacting a urologist and not a doctor, because all he knows how to do is fix problems with medications. A urologist is a specialist in that field.

I don't really mind scars. I personally consider them features. Easier to remember a person when they don't look like every single other person. All yall humans look too alike sometimes

All in all, when you don't like what your doctor is telling you, get a second opinion from a specialist.
