I think that is a reason to be picked though. You want things to match.

icywind1980: Welcome! You may have corrected your form, but did you submit it by the proper channels? We don't exactly have carrier pidgeons around here. Heh, pidgeons, the poor little guys. -said with an air of superiority-. We recommend looking back to the blank form template on the first page, and look within the same post for instructions on how to submit. A huge hint: it is NOT by posting it in the thread. We want to help you and even if your 'time' has elapsed, it hasn't since your initial submission so we will still honour it and get you clothes and toys!

Falconwing: We thank you for your dilligence. Would you consider staying around full time and becoming a whitelisted (a sort of new user chaperone) for fun? We have come to the consensus with our Master (Crow-sama) that it is our turn to hold up our end of the bargain. We shall be looking at your list and you shall receive a trade from us soon. Please credit it as coming from the Charity. -Deimos, sitting on Phobos's forearm caws- Go check out that list, you, but don't select more than you can deliver -thrusts the bird into flight and Deimos is off into another thread, gazing at the wanted shinies- The response won't be immediate as we need to check your list against our absolutely-no-way-organised pile, but your reward is nigh. Keep up the good work!

Phobos and Deimos: I wouldn't mind being white listed. Does that mean that I basically just kind of an unofficial host to the thread? *tilts head to side curiously*

Enters the thread with the living darkness of All Hallows Eve clinging to hir form, the living and the dead, the dead and the living, who can tell the two apart?

Falconwing-dear- First, I would highly recommend checking your trades. I think Deimos got ahead of yourself and sent you something 'in advance'.
Secondly, being whitelisted is a bit of an honour. Your name gets linked to on the front page, and the new users therefore know to go to YOU if I am not around. You are expected to answer basic questions about the site, along with just be friendly without being intimidating (as the site is intimdating when you are nekkid and have no gold). I have lost count of how many times they have found this place to a 'relief'.
Sometimes you may receive extra rewards. It does help if you link to the charity in your signature though, as that is the technical qualification, but usually those who link and those who are whitelisted and post go hand in hand for extra goodies.
Third, yes, in my abscense you share the responsibility of running the charity with whomever else happens to be whitelisted at the time. Upon my return Phobos and Deimos will fully reimburse you (usually with a little 'extra' for your help). This is my charity and I am the supreme commander and also have the benefit of making 'executive decisions' (for example, you are the first quester I have ever helped, but you had an end of the bargain to hold up as well, which you have done so wonderfully. Plus you get gold for posting, so it's a bit of win/win, I do hope).

Should my duties as Torchwood Four commander, or seeking vengance on those who have been wronged, or I end up in 1973, or I wind up travelling with a pair of brothers in a '67 impala fighting the difficult to explain, I do care about this charity and need someone to take care of it for me. It is my brainchild. It is also my way of filling in a 'hole' in the system. For ages the 'newbie shop' didn't exist and new users were completely lost. Sure, they received welcome posts in fresh meat but those are all generic as the same few people tend to kind of troll fresh meat and post the same things over and over again. Here, actual friendships are made. Naoto-hime and Mitsunari were new users the same time I was, and now they are getting married. That is the importance of a good charity... not just giving handouts but acclimating users.

Capice?

*nods* Sounds great! I get it 100%. One question though... I would put the link in my signature with the little linky thing you have going on in your signature but I don't know how to make it exactly like that. >///<; If you explained it to me though, I would love to put it in my signature. And I already saw the little gift and was greatly surprised. ;D Also, it would be an honor for me to be whitelisted. I would be happy to take part in something like this. *nods with smile*

-Lord Crow chuckles as xe observes Phobos try to peck at star2000shadow's face and arms... but she happened to forget a small detail, that she was in humanoid form. So instead, she ended up headbutting in a very strange way-

Is this some new type of female wrestling?

"Master... help..." a plea comes out. With the living inky blackness Crow-sama summons it thickly around hir hand, and jettisons it into a single sharp tendril aimed and star's neck. It wraps around multple times as to avoid permanent damage and leaves her hanging in mid-air, a mere couple of inches above the ground. "Phobos is used to being a bird." Crow explains, "They are very defensive. Ever heard the term 'fight or FLIGHT? Also they have hollow bones and are used to being physically weak in exchange for speed and agility. Please be gentle with my charity birds. If you injure them, they may not be able to do their jobs." After the point was made, star is dropped onto a nice welcoming pile of comfortable pillows and Crow-sama walks over and gives her a kiss on the forehead. "You must forgive me for being defensive of those who serve me."

Falconwing-dear- On your quest page, could you kindly credit "The New User's First Stop" as opposed to Phobos and Deimos? You see, it is a combination of the three of us that resulted the 'downpayment' of your gift.

Also, you might wish to 'clean up' your existing signature. It leads to the seventh page, not the first. It would be much more useful for people to land on the first page of your quest.

Also, a text signature to the charity is fine, if that is all you know how to do, please just make sure you link to THE FIRST page, not the 351st .

If you really wish for the image, you simply use the IMG tag inside of the URL tag (which you already how to use), instead of typing any words you simply place the picture. To see where it is hosted right-click the picture (it is on the front page) and click "view source". Some people also have a tinyurl/tinypic version in case you happen to be running out of signature space, as the site only allows a limited number of characters. I manage to fit an image, the charity link and url, plus another line of text in my signature (though larger images sometimes bump 'down' the others), so you should be fine.

I have never won admin's pick. I suppose that no matter which variation I use, they probably find my 'crow look' too generic. Also, I rarely cosplay, so I highly doubt that will catch anyone's eye. It matters not: I am content with my look and that is what matters.

I am content with what my avi's look like I just.... I don't know, I have always wanted to win it and when I haven't been chosen it's like maybe my avis aren't good enough.... I don't know. I just would like to win it one day.

You are right Boo, you never know what she is going to like.

I will fix my signature right away Crow. I didn't realize it did that and I will fix how I labelled the donation in my thread.

----------

Done and done!! Everything is fixed. Links are fixed. Everything works fine and I changed how I credited you for the donations. ;D Thanks for the 'How-To'!
