This is the first time I noticed, having only been on socials for years, that while I enjoy the conversation between Cora & Ghost, there is no "like" button, to show my pleasure in the conversation but not get involved LOL What has this world come to? Wanting to creep conversations, but not get involved. My goodness lol

Oh my goodness definitely check the restaurant out if you can! They had one of the first air conditioned dining rooms back in the day, people had to pay $1 to sit in it, which was equivalent to the filet mignon price at the time, wild!
I went ahead and googled it now since it had been so long ago that maybe I was wrong! But no, it turns out young geckos will shed once every week or two and then adults will shed every 4-8 wks! Phew! Tessa was a "fat tailed leopard gecko", interesting little creature. Definitely check your area for the silent crickets before though! Only one of our pet stores carried them! Nothing worse than a cricket getting out, and it's not silent and it sits under your fridge making noise all night

Ohhh I hadn't thought of the noise of frogs, I would have to ensure they are downstairs so I could still sleep noise free LOL

Every week! That's a lot of shed. Even once every month or two seems to be a lot... The gekos seem really fun the way they wag their tails around. Was it very active? Were you able to handle it? I see there's an exotic animals store where I'll be moving to so hopefully they'll have lots of good supplies! That is 100% my fear is having crickets everywhere chirping up a storm.

Sadly we aren't looking into getting a house for another year or two yet so I don't have the option of putting noisy critters somewhere where the noise isn't bothersome but eventually it'll be an option!

Don't worry, that button just made confetti explode EVERYWHERE in Cora's house. She'll be picking that up for days...

Not really though. We just get a ping to a thread in the staff area and warm fuzzies knowing that we've helped someone.

She was active and she'd let me handle her, she'd bite everyone else LOL but she didn't have teeth, so it didn't hurt, just shocked you mostly. She once dropped her tail when my sister tried to handle her. My sister was no longer allowed after that. Her tail grew back.

In the summer I'd catch her crickets outside to eat, but with today's pesticide use it may not be the smartest...and you definitely won't find the noiseless ones out there! I'm excited to hear about what you end up getting!! Chameleon's are super cool too!

Oh, I'm so glad her tail grew back! That must have been stressful... Did you already mention her name? I might have forgotten. I'll probably seriously start looking into getting my dragon in September after we're in our new place and have hopefully settled in a little bit... I know it'll be a pretty big expense getting the habitat all set up and whatnot but I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun with it! I wonder if there are any good books out there about how to care for them. I know there's tons of resources online but I'm a little old fashioned and would love a good book to get started with and then look stuff up online as more questions arise.

I strangely also get a lot of "how to" and ideas from Tiktok...it's a terrible app if you want to get anything productive done, but man have I learned a lot! LOL

I never did get on Tiktok but my friends send me some pretty good stuff from there! I'm on a bunch of different Facebook groups. There are some really amazing support groups on there that have been really helpful for some of my life struggles. It's really great to find a like-minded community (kind of like here!) that you can bond with and ask advice from.

Hmmm that's a tough one. I was young LOL Like still lived at home with my parents and had to have them drive me to the store to get her food when I first got her, young. LOL I'd say at least a few years, I sold her eventually when I left to go to Brazil for my youth exchange!

I completely agree! I am part of a bunch of plant and gardening groups on FB, I just love it! Tiktok is a black hole, but gosh darn you learn a lot. Like my curtains are now perfectly spaced and beautiful, because of what I learned on TikTok! I know how to properly use the mustard lid on the container, and just so many super yummy recipes! I'm also a bit obsessed with fridge organization, so I have used those ideas to organize mine lol This is my fridge LOL
