Automation sounds like a verb and Automaton sounds like a name.

It's automaton. An automaton is a 'robit', automation is the inclusion of automatons in the production industry.

The pronunciation; it's commonly believed that 'stupid americans' will say 'bit' instead of 'bot' even in the american society.

I only know confusion pronunciation between a and e and i... but o and i is totally different...O__O

I know that, you know that, but it is true that some people will say 'robit' rather than 'robot'. This word is the only place I've heard it too.

I'm an american and have lived here in america for pretty much my whole life (was born in germany, left when I was two. mom was in the military.) and I never knew about the Robit thing.

I was Born in America and have live in many areas of America....and have never heard that before....o.0

I'm thinking "Robit" is something made up in those movies.
That's just not how people say it at all e_e

I feel like drawing some robotic character named Robit now. :P
