I have to be on my toes this morning. my friend's boyfriend screwed up and the cops might come to arrest him today. my friend had to go to school with her younger daughter so her older daughter (who is mentally handicapped and home from school because she's sick) is being watched by the boyfriend. so if the cops show up I'm gonna need to go over there and watch the sick daughter until she gets home from volunteering at her younger daughter's school.

That's a crazy story.

yup, my life tends to be "crazy" like that.

the police never came and my friend actually got home early. we're thinking that when he goes in for his monthly visit with his parole officer they will just arrest him then (the 2nd of March) ... but unless the court is VERY kind, he's looking at 3 years in jail. he has had SO many chances and he just keeps screwing up. I don't really feel sorry for him, and he knows it.

I must have missed the earlier part of the conversation, what did they do wrong?

he was pulled over for speeding ... without a license because it was yanked ... and either way he didn't have his breatherlizer-thing installed in that truck ... he was still on 3 years parole ... this isn't the first time he's screwed up in the last year. we've written the parole board the last 2 times he was dunked in jail about how much better he has been and what a positive influence he's been on her kids and such ... but this time, obviously he hasn't learned a darn thing. so we're pretty sure he's going back to the pokey for 3 years.

Ah I see.

some folks just don't want to learn, I tell ya. it's mostly his dad's fault. he always bails Vern out whenever he screws up. literally.
