XD Yeah, bout that thing I mentioned earlier... I do believe I am, but I don't really know, no big deal.

Right now though, I am terribly sad, and I'm going to rant for a minute.... not sure if anyone was aware, but there was a contest going on called "Gig of a Lifetime" where bands from all over the country were nominated for a chance to preform at the Grammys... well, my favorite band, Steam Powered Giraffe was a part of this. The entire first round of voting, they were in the lead, out of hundreds of bands, they were on top... and for some stupid fine print bull crap about video length, they got disqualified... and my heart is broken for them. Because they truly deserved to not only win, but to be known by a broader audience. But on top of that, people from fandoms of other bands in the competition are now attacking the SPG fans, and members of the band itself...

I really have little hope left for the world, when bands get knocked out of a contest and then the fans start fighting... granted, the Fanmily (steam powered giraffe fandom) are not childish a-holes, so they aren't fighting back, rather rallying around the band to try and keep them from going insane during this time.... I am a very sad panda that my band isn't going through... probably unreasonably upset, but for sure they would have won, but they got disqualified because their video was 36 seconds longer than the rules allowed.... ='(

Though, rules are rules, meant to be kept. It is not like a sabotage... is it?

No, but the rule was never state up front... so no one knew about it, a ton of other bands got disqualified for the same thing. So I think it's rather unfair to disqualify anyone for it, if clearly they didn't know, it's not fair. The thing is, with the fans attacking SPG and everything, it's just childish!!

They have been going around to every bands website, and any site that has their music and just trashing them!! It's not right.. at all, it's very immature!

At least they are being fair on rules and not just disqualifying your band. They could have fault for hiding rules or changing rules. If the fineprint rule was in black and white, well, contestant are suppose to read all. If not, then the organizer is actually altering the rule book.

Anyway, I hope there will not be a lot of bloody mess. DX

Meh... they keep attacking SPG everywhere... it's sad. They don't deserve that type of abuse, it's not even really about the contest anymore, they deserved to win, but an oversight messed that up... oh well, there is NO reason to start attacking the band and us fans just because their band got kicked out too!!
