haha~ I think I am to pro-original to like fanfiction.
Somehow, 90% of the time, the fanfiction's don't deliver the same essense the original gave me.

It sometimes takes me a while to find the kind of fanfiction that I like, amongst the tons of fanfictions that I don't like. I hate OCs so much.

Yep! A lot of them are very Mary Sue/Gary Stu, or the story mainly focuses on them which I have no interest in, or they exist but do little to change the story (which kind of makes their existence have little meaning), or are annoying, etc. etc. etc...I tend to just skip the story if I see an OC mentioned in the summary of the fic.

But when there is the case if fanfiction is BETTER than original, I won't even read the original. XD

I was working towards Fanficiton for my Ocs. I couldn't help just shifting the story only between two of my main Ocs. I added in more characters and mainly focused on their physical attributes. But I myself quit because I can't keep up with my imagination.
I like British Humor, like Xu mentioned. I try to use it as best as I can. But the books that show the best kind of British humor are the Bartimaeus Trilogy ( The Official Bartimaeus Site), Lockwood & Co (which I WANT badly), The Ring of Solomon, The Kane Chronicles ( The Kane Chronicles | Disney), Sadie Kane and Artemis Fowl ( Artemis Fowl). I'm not too sure about pure intellectual books, though. The only brits that I found funny were in the Are you being served? TV-show and Hugh Laurie (playing as House M.D.).
But Fanfiction written by other artists... there's not many good ones. Some are too loose or aren't intellectual inclined enough. Jukebox Hound | FanFiction, Jukebox and tofu-melon | FanFiction, Tofu are the only ones I've ever liked that have those elements.

Oh!!!! And Narakusslave, FanWorks.org :: Fan Works Inc. - Profile of Narakusslave
I've been following her since Quizilla. She moved off of there before the website became "Teen" oriented.
Which completely destroyed a lot of good writers that were on there. I know one female writer from Quizilla actually turned her Vampire series into a paperback book! I've forgotten the name, though. It was really good and morbid.

... I read Artemis Fowl, I love everything of it. But if you are talking about hilarious level... I don't feel it. I give it a 20%. Where as the highest score I had read could reach 80%.
Maybe we have different definition of British Humour? Not sure... I prefer the ones that makes me laugh out loud.
If Artemis Fowl have British humour... then I am beginning to doubt my understanding on british humour.

What's British humor like?
Sometimes it's kind of hard to tell when on the Internet you don't know who is from where and all...I know I sometimes mix up these supposed 'American English' and 'British English'.

I speak with badly accented American English and write with both because I sometimes can't tell them apart.

Thanks to reading too much Harry Potter and Sherlock fanfics I tend to use phrases like 'bloody hell' and stuff, which from what I've read is British phrasing?

F is overused...
But normally, if the word include strong consonant like K, s, p, t... then tend to naturally accompany with loud voice.
Bloody Hell, B and H are soft, I don't regard them as bad.

Yeah, bloody hell does sound pretty mild compared to some of those other cuss words that people use. Damn and Goddamn doesn't sound too bad either.

Yep, their consonant is soft, if your tone and experssion is peaceful or smiling, people won't realise it is a curse word for the first few seconds. XD *chuckles*

Instead of the word fuck I usually censor myself into saying something more like "fffffffffffffff" instead.
My dad used to curse with bloody hell, usually when driving.

besides, longer it takes, I can set the mood darker. >3
