They shouldn't be. I hate reporters, journalists and the like. I understand that they're trying to do their job, but my personal life should not be a part of it.

I think it has its benefits- Some amount of transparency is important. But gossip is not.

o.o So Crap happened with my school involving my sister not being able to pick me up when I was sick and my mom and grandma were out of town and now my mom plans to ask the police to pick me up when she can't.

Because they said she wasn't a parent or guardian and both my parent and guardian were out of town. The sad thing is that they all know her.

Oh yeah. That happened to me once when I wanted to pick up my brother from school once. I wasn't registered to pick him up.
Such a hassle cos they had to call my dad so he could confirm that I was authorized to pick him up.

I don't think they will do that. I will be fine. I don't get sick often anyway.

It still sucks though. Schools can be so strict, but I understand why they do that.

Well I mean if someone that was like a year older than me came in to get me I would understand why they would do it but what pisses my mother off is that my sister has always picked me up. Al through out high school. Everyone in the office knows her and the principle knows her but they wouldn't let her get me when I was sick, which is technically child endangerment because I am under 17. My mother isn't sue happy or anything but if she wanted to sue them, she would have a good case.

Iunno. I think the staff knew that it was a stupid law, but they had to follow it anyways or they would endanger themselves or the school.

Some staff are apologetic, but some staff can be real bitches.

The women who she was talking to has known us since my sister first started high school about 9 years ago. She knows my mother as well and I hate that my mother yelled at her because she would have let my sister sign me out but she would have gotten in trouble.

I hate when it has to happen like that. Staff are just following the rules. Even if they're incredibly stupid.

idek. If someone's working in a job and has to deal with stupid laws all the time, then maybe that's why they're kinda bitchy. xD
