my cat literally jumped up on the counter and tried to eat my cornflakes today because i keep them in the same kind of ziploc as her crunchies she also tried to eat the salmon off my plate yesterday, she just walked right up on the couch which she never does. i think this new diet is making her a little hangry...

Oh no! Goodness, it'll get better over time but right now it seems little fluff ball doesn't like to be told she needs to diet

oh not a diet as in less food!! a diet as in like a regimented schedule for eating she's been puking a lot and having loose stools, and she's been a picky eater in the past, so we're just trying to figure out what works for her.

it's just that now she doesn't have an unlimited amount of crunchies available all day, so she gets more excited at mealtime. she used to not even care and only finish half of her food.

It is. Don't know the actual name of the island in Japan, but because cats outnumber humans 6:1 there, it's nicknamed the Cat Island. Alot of those cats are strays though.

I've known some friendly strays too in my life but still, I want to visit now hahaha.

Yeah. It's only to say to be careful and try not to pet too many of them. Cats are lovely, but we can't let them get us sick. Hard to love the kitties when we're too busy being sick.

Yes, that is a very fair point. Gotta be very careful around them, but I'll still love on them from a distance :)
