Hm, it depends. There are two kinds of bites from most sources of manga and novels.

There's the kind that hurts like hell because it's basically someone plunging two sharp dagger-like things into your neck.

There's the kind that makes you high and blissful, because their teeth is supposed to inject some sort of aphrodisiac into you while they feed.

So yeah...

well, either way, I find it strange that folks being bit don't go for the obvious self defense ideas. poke them in the eyes with your thumb and they will pop out, sucker punch south of the border, sucker punch to the kidneys, punch in the nose, stuff like that. nobody even tries to pull their hair or anything!

Eh, I don't. Even if their bite contains aphrodisiac, they'd probably end up killing you in the end anyway. The aphrodisiac's only there so their food wouldn't struggle too much.

yup, like certain kinds of mosquitoes inject a numbing agent into their victim so you don't even realize you were bit until later when it itches. some bats do that when they feed on cattle too.

Yep. So no vampires = good, IMO, I don't fancy dying from being drained of blood, blissful or not. :XD
