Well, a lot of the newbies come from gaia where people judge you by your gold and items but the older users tend to be very nice <3

=chuckles= My GaiaOnline avi is decked out in a complete "Titan's Legacy" theme right now... and I have upwards of 1000 items to mix and match, so I usually don't have to put up with that, not to mention I spend most of my time moderating the "My Secret Pleasure" guild, where we mandate that everyone treat everyone else with respect and crack down pretty hard if any of the rules are breached. It helps that the captain made me a co-captain of the guild, 'cause no one's willing to mess with you if you're in charge of their guild, despite the fact that I never ban someone out of anger or whatnot...

It is! And fun! Though right now I'm auditing it and removing inactive members. I put out a thread for members to sign by May 1st in order to remain a part of the guild, if they don't sign, I remove them. That way even some lurkers can remain members if they like, but it promotes guild activity and a closer community.

What's sad is I actually do a lot more maintenance than the original Captain of the guild, though he does more on the off-Gaia forums than I do. I prefer working on the PG-13 area to make sure everyone's abiding by the rules. There isn't much to do on the forum, seeing as it's NOT PG-13, so other than being respectful of one another and the odd complaint, we really don't have much to do there... XD

Lol -- mine are only long because I tend to be long-winded. And I'm a writer, I can't help it. I should actually be working on my story, if anything, right now. I'm only twenty pages into it, I need at least 50k words before I can call it quits on the rough draft, then I can go back through, flesh it up, and pick out some of the structure to tone it down a bit, and I'll likely do that several times before it's complete. I'm a bit annoyed because it's the one vampire story I'm working on, but I figured if I were to concentrate on finishing one of my many stories, it might as well be focusing on finishing one that might make me money if I actually DO finish and publish it. XD

No matter how much I dislike going with the fad, you kinda have to work on what's "in" at the moment if you want to make anything off of what you're writing. :/ Either that or come up with the next "in" thing... but I don't want to be the author of the next "Twilight". =shudders=

Well, I really want to be able to work as a novelist when I'm older, though I'm planning on going to school to be able to teach college level creative writing later down the road, which opens plenty of doorways for me to learn about other such wonderful things. :3 I'd love to just keep learning and learning and learning until they kicked me out of school. >.<

In any event, I liked Twilight the first time I read it, but after the second time, I couldn't help but notice all the ways it could have been bettered, all the plot flaws (ie: a non-magical, undead creature producing enough virile sperm to impregnate a nearly-dead female after almost breaking her during sex), and just... how a high schooler younger than myself could have written something better (and some have). It just bothers me on a base level, that people can accept the lack of talent found in the novel to be something so valued... and the anti-feminist plotline annoys the heck out of me as well. But none-the-less, I simply have a grudge against Meyer for not treating writing with the respect it deserves as an artform... and then the fangirls just made it worse. XD

Bleh... just threw up. I have decided I do not like my tummy acting up. I do not like it ONE BIT. >.<

On the bright side, I finished inking my crest for Brit Lit earlier this morning, now I have more time to color it, and time to get back ahead of my Multi-Cultural class in our book -- The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime.

Hey everyone, guess what? I got to go on my first mission outside the wire. 40 hours out there. Got back last night and when I got back here all I wanted to do was sleep after I found out the details of the mission today. So that's what I did, after a quick shower. Mission was damn awesome. Sure, maybe it really wasn't all that special but I got outside the wire AND I came back with all my limbs, so it was a good deal ;)

Nah. Just normal tummy issues. My body's high in ecoli and other such bacteria already, so it doesn't tend to bother me, though it could very well be plain food poisoning. Either way, it's not incredibly pleasant to have to deal with. XD
