Some people are unmitigatedly brazen in their begging on Gaia. One occasion I can remember is when some moron started an open trade with me and in the subject box he put, "Can I have a Celestial Scarf?". Well how could I refuse that?

But the actual EI's are nicer than the monthly items and because the EI's have sooo many more poses it's ridiculous that they can only be worn one pose at a time

That's intentional though. They see it as a way of making people buy more of any item as it's the only way they can equip more than one option.

It's exactly why we didn't go down that route ourselves because it's something that everyone on the site hates. Some people thought we were crazy to allow everything to be equiped (if the layering allowed) from one CI because then people would only buy one if they didn't need more to be able to use all the items, but I don't think so.

Ours are a far better investment because you get so much more useability for your money, so people will be happy to buy them from those who donate.

I like to say that Gaia has used the same theory with their MCs as the chocolate companies do with their candy bars.

Chocolate company needs more profit: Instead of putting the price per bar up, they leave it the same price but reduce the size of the bar.

Gaia needs more profit: Instead of putting MC prices up, they increase the amount of stuff that goes into each MC, so people need to buy more of them...

I had that problem at mcdonalds when all that I ate there was the blt bagel. Then I got one with a half tomato slice, one piece of bacon broken into 3 pieces, not enough shredded lettuce for any to fall out and a smaller bagel.
And that was it for me. I'd have paid more for a good blt but not the same for that :P
So now I just don't eat there

I have 3 of the Gift of the Goddess, because I like the shoes, the necklace, and I think the scarf? (I can't remember why I bought the 3rd one exactly). It wasn't too expensive, which is fortunate for me... I figured I could always sell them back later.

But it's so much nicer here, to be able to multi-equip items.
Most of the items are reasonable on the exchange, but there are some really high-priced ones, which makes it more interesting. Gives you something to quest for.

I love Gaia. I've been there for like five years. XD Goooood times.

Yeah, the GCD rocks! <3 I love that almost everybody in there, especially the regs, are nerds and get most of the nerdy jokes! Site Feedback makes me want to bash my head in! Especially with the whole fiasco with Fondue, grrr! I'm still annoyed that the description for him, which people would barely even to see to start with, was dwindled down to "Celebrate Easter 2k9 with this sweet gentleman".

"Let me coat your strawberries with my white chocolate!" was what it was before, but a lot of people threw a fit about it, saying that it wasn't PG-13, so the devs changed it to something along the lines of "A charming gentleman with the tendency to get too familiar", but again, another fit (people saying it brought up bad memories of molestation), so they finally changed it to the one I mentioned earlier.

I sometimes go to the SF, but I rarely post there because usually it'd be shot down in flames anyway no matter what I say :roll: I'm more often in either the Charities chatting with my friends or answering questions in the Q&A due to boredom.
