Haha. That Friday song isn't really a well-liked song. There's some funny parodies of it though. :lol:
Yah. Yay for no sunburns!
Yeah. Actually we're going to have to pass up going to the beach this weekend because we're pretty broke. Next weekend though, pool time for sure! Did you get your phone business taken care of? Sounds like a big hassle. =\
Lmao, that's weird. How big was the crab? :XD
Ooh I like this song~ :D
Wow, $80 for the complete set. That's pretty neat though. The only french songs I have, I got from a friend.
I'm sure I'll get one sometime this summer. Especially given that the sunscreen I bought is going in the trash. I'm not going to have that crap staining any more of my clothes.
Man, I want to go swimming. T_T I'm not sure my grandparents will open their pool this summer. Even if they do, it's always really cold for some reason. >.<
Yeah, I finally got everything figured out. I chatted with one of their representatives and apparently I had to do this hard restart of my phone or something. It's working now though. I still haven't gotten around to sending my old contacts my new number though. I should get on that and transferring my old pics. I also need to figure out when I want to cancel my old phone. It's hard to decide though because I just applied for some jobs with my old phone number a few weeks back and I don't want to sever my connection and risk them not getting back to me. At the same time I doubt they will and keeping it active will end up being a waste of time. T_T
It was a sand crab. Probably the size of your thumb. It's like an oval thing with a shell colored like the sand, not the sort of crab with pincers that you usually think of. ^^;
Yeah, I'm thinking about buying an album of his on iTunes, or at least a few songs anyway. I'm not sure I like them all but he has a few good ones. And yeah, $80 is a lot but you could always just pick out a few of them. The album is also broken up into parts, four of them I think? and you can buy just one list or another for only like $10 if I remember correctly.
I bought the soundtrack to Coco avant Chanel on iTunes, the soundtrack to Origine from a music store in France, two albums by Kyo from Amazon a few years ago, and got Superbus and Yelle from a friend. I really don't have that much French music. I have some German bands as well. I think I've actually got more German music than French actually. >.<
I think we need to get some new sunblock. -ponders- We have the spray kind. I saw a commercial for a type that you can put on while still being wet. So when you need to reapply, you just use that. I wonder how well it works though.
Well, since we can't go to the beach this weekend, no swimming there. And now, my sister-in-law's soccer game got cancelled so that's no reason to go up to NC where we could also go swimming. Though, we just might for the heck of it. It's not too far, free food (most of the time) and free boarding. Can't beat that. :lol:
Oh that's good that it's fixed. :D
Ooh I see your dilemma. Gosh... Were you able to figure something out?
Oh! Hahaha. xDD Sounds cute though~
Yeah, I saw the four tabs and was like "Oh neat, it's kind of broken down. :O"
I get frustrated at those songs you like but can only obtain if you buy the whole album. I just go "Aaargh!"
I want some classical music...
Haha. I have some German music. It's probably pretty even with French.
I probably won't get anything else. I should but I don't need it that often and it's just so freaking expensive. That kind sounds cool though though I don't know how well it might work.
I'm jealous. There's like nowhere to go swimming around here. T_T
Well there really isn't anything to do but cancel it now or wait. *Shrugs* Like I said I probably won't hear back from them anyway. I think I'll tell my mom to cancel it soon since I did finally transfer my pictures over and notify my contacts of my new number.
Yeah, it was kinda cute. It was really surprising to have it in my sand castle though! I actually took a picture of it but that was back before digital cameras so I wouldn't be able to show you really. >.<
I don't think I've ever seen a song that you can't buy singly from iTunes unless they're like bonus songs at the end or something. I have some classical music but it's mostly from movie soundtracks. I do have a few real classical pieces but don't listen to them often. I like instrumental stuff.
Well I don't know if ours is expired. Haven't checked. If not... I think we have enough of it to last through the summer. :P
Yeah I would look up reviews of that sunblock before buying it, for sure.
Aww. You could always just play around with the water hose. That's still fun. :lol:
There's two pools on base, but I think you have to pay for a membership. And I assume they're pretty crowded.
Ah. Welp! That's all you can really do~
Haha. I would be laughing so hard if I built a sandcastle and it started moving and then a crab came out. x3
Aww it's okay. Using my imagination is working in this sense.
I see lots of singly sold songs. (I think anyway.. XDD)
I don't know if I would listen to them all them, but it would be nice to at least have them readily available. And I could also put them on my phone! :D
Where would I find reviews of sunblock??? O. o But really, it's a known brand and my mom's used it before and plenty of other people and never had any problems with it. I don't know what the heck happened really. Maybe my shirt was made of some weird material? I'll have to check and see if it's something other than cotton.
The hose is too cold. It's like frigid. I'll break down on occasion and play with it but it definitely isn't as fun as swimming. I'd imagine those pools would probably have a lot of guys doing laps in them, LOL! Maybe I'm wrong though. ^^;
In iTunes you can buy pretty much any song on an album by itself. That's the beauty of it. I never put music on my phone, I just use my iPod when I want to listen. *Shrugs* I have a SIM card now though so I could do it if I wanted but it just isn't worth the hassle of putting music on two different devices.
Did you see/are you planning to go see the new X-Men movie? It's amazing... *Drool*
Online? XDD
I usually just type in the name of a product and add review to the end in Google and see what pops up. Depending upon how much it costs though would depend on if I buy it or not.
Ooh maybe. :O
Ah yeah that's true... I don't mind getting wet with the hose if I'm doing something that requires me to use the hose, like washing my car or something, but mostly I stay away from it.
Lmao! Mostly kids. Dx
Shoooot. A few songs I wanted from an album were album only. Phooey!
Lawl. Well, since my phone is basically an iPod... :lol:
Omgash, you saw it?! That was like the only movie I was excited to see this summer, but we couldn't because we were broke.
I just find it hard to believe that they would have reviews for such everyday products online. I guess I've never searched though.
That reminds me that I should wash my car again. I drive on this back country road on the way to work and some tractor left a bunch of dirt on the road and it ended up getting all over the hood of my car. >.< I usually just avoid getting wet with the hose unless it is my specific intention to use it for the purpose of cooling off. Once when I was a kid though I threw the hose down and the handle got stuck in the ground and it sprayed all over me, LOL!
Ah, makes sense. It can get annoying swimming with lots of kids around. >.<
What songs were you trying to get from which album?
I actually saw it twice. ^^; I went to the drive in with a girl from work and then won free movie tickets and went to see it again, LOL! It's my new favorite movie.
I like the art in your signature, did you draw it? Who is the person with you?
My bunny has been acting a bit off so I took her to the vet on Tuesday and it looks like she has cancer. I'm afraid I might have to put her down soon. T_T

Ooh! Yeah that's true.
I actually went to Target today to get some sunblock for my face/lips and saw some waterproof (well, for application during/after swimming) sunblock. Thought it was funny.
Uh oh! Is the weather going to be nice for you to wash your car? :XD
Lmao!! That happens to us all the time... dang hose. We keep the handle off of it now though.
Definitely. Once when we were at this big soccer tournament for my sister-in-law (they go out of town and rent hotels to attend) we went swimming in the pool. And it's a bunch of kids (like around 10) which is hard enough. But we found out the following morning that someone had later vomited in the pool and that a turd was found in it. -shudder- Just gross... I'm glad we missed all that...
I know there were some from the Sucker Punch Soundtrack. That's the main one I remember. P:
Ah. Niiice. :drool:
We had a chance to see it today, but saw Super 8 instead. It was interesting. I actually really liked it, but it's got like.. bad reviews and stuff online and all that. The main character is so pitiful and adorable. :XD
Yup! Thanks. :D
The other person is my avatar on another avatar site. They have the same name (with the exception of the Akihiko part).
Omgash.. I'm sorry to hear that. :(
At least you have the option to put her down.
I think you mentioned that waterproof sunblock before...
I dunno, I don't really want to wash it. I mean, I want it to be clean but don't really want to clean it myself. I wish the automatic car wash in town was still running. I guess the rain got some of it off and I'll get around to hosing the rest off eventually. >.<
I usually only use the hose for the sprayer attachment so I just leave it on and try to be more careful with it. ^^;
Grooooossss... T_T It's bad enough always finding bandaids and stuff in public pools but that's just disgusting. V_V
Oh, I've never really encountered that before but I don't buy music very often from iTunes though I'm sure they do have plenty of album exclusives.
I heard it was good. My fiance really liked it. I don't think I'd love it but I'd probably find it okay. *Shrugs* I won't be seeing it in theaters but maybe if my fiance ends up getting the DVD I'll watch it.
Ooh, can I see an image of the avatar itself?
She seems to be doing a little better today. I hope that means she's improving and I won't have to part with her just yet but I'm afraid to get my hopes up. T_T
Ah. Yeah when I need to wash my car I take it to the automatic one. And then just clean the windows inside and vacuum inside at home. That's mainly what I need to do. Vacuum.
We use the hose to give our dog water. So it's easier without the nozzle. Though, when we we cleaning the algae off the side of the house, we had to put the nozzle back on.
Yeah it was waaay gross. So glad we weren't there for that...
I wonder if the album exclusives go away after a while? Like a long while. :P
Well hopefully you find it decent enough to be worth watching. :XD
Here's my Crys avi:
Though now my sig image is gone. :lol:
Mine's still pretty good in the inside, just needs a light scrubbing on the outside. We used to have an automatic car wash here in town but then we got this sort of do-it-yourself one that pushed the other out of business. I'd rather pay someone else to do it honestly but the do-it-yourselfer is cheaper so I guess more people use that.
Ah, I see. I mostly just use it to spray stuff with. I don't use the hose often because I hate winding it back up. >.<
Hm... The way Apple is I doubt it but you never know. ^^;
If I watch it that is. ^^; I probably will eventually but who knows when that will be.
Ah, it's pretty cool. Did you draw the art yourself, the one that was in your sig before you changed it? I really like that head item though I'm not really sure what it is. What site is that from? I'm not up on all the avi sites I'm afraid. V_V
I dunno, today isn't quite so good. The ups and downs are hard to deal with.
Finally got my tire fixed. :XD
I've never had anyone else wash my car, like... a place or group of people. I'm most just too scared to deal with them.
Ooh. I want to get one of those hose reel things that you store the hose with. Right now it's just laying on the ground...
Haha, true. Apple is a special business. :s
Yup! Here it is again:
Which head item? The site is Crysandrea. I'm not into all the sites either aside from knowing their names. I tried joining another one after I joined Mene, but I just never got into it. And then I just joined Crys a few weeks ago because a friend joined so I decided to check it out.
Here's a picture I drew for my current avi.
Don't know why I've been in a drawing mood lately.
Oh! I drew that one we spoke about, where I have the "Zig approves" stamp on me. I just drew the headshot and meant to spiffy it up on the computer, but just never got around to it.
Haven't been feeling too confident with digital coloring. :s
I don't really care too much about other people washing my car. It's a crappy first car and it already has some scratches and stuff. *Shrugs*
Yeah, those reels are so much nicer. My grandpa has one but we just have a tire rim that we wind ours around. It's a real pain in the butt. I hate when the hose gets all dirty and then I have to handle it to wind it up. Yucky.
I actually saved it just to keep looking at it. I really just like those horns. I actually like the art you did for it better than the actual avi itself, LOL!
Aw, it's really cute. You should definitely finish it sometime!
Lawl. I'm not concerned about scratches, I just don't like dealing with people. :XD
I'm skurred~
That's resourceful, using a tire rim. We ended up wrapping ours around the top of the fence.
This kind of fence.
LMAO! I'm flattered you saved it. :lol:
Yah I should. Especially now since I'm not afraid to ink things. :lol:
Coloring would be another story, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Actually, it should be really simple anyway.
Oh, yeah, I think you told me about that before. ^^;
Ah, but that works too. There's just no really good way of doing it I feel, it's just a long, cumbersome, slimy, dirty thing. Can you tell I hate hoses? ^^;
Aw, I'm glad you don't think I'm stealing then. >.< I confess I sometimes save images from DeviantArt but I definitely never claim them as my own.
I usually draw the thing in pencil, then ink it so it will scan into the computer better, smooth the image out in Photoshop and save it. Then I can try coloring it in various ways. Or just make photocopies of the inked original and try coloring it with pencils.
My bunny is gone actually. I had to put her down last Thursday. T_T
Haha, I can now. We don't use ours too often aside from filling up the dog's water bowl. But it's set in a position now where it isn't just flopped on the ground.
Nah. I save images all the time. Mostly for inspiration or practicing with their poses or style. :yes: But yeah, never claiming it as my own.
I used to be scared of messing up my drawings by inking them so I avoided it. But then one day here recently, I just decided to ink it and now I've been doing it ever since. I think because I could never get the lead to be dark and the paper to white in Photoshop, so I figured I would ink it to make it show up better. And it's worked pretty well so far. P:
The way I used to color in PS isn't satisfying me anymore so I'm waiting until I figure out what does. But I've been coloring parts with markers lately.
Like this. Nursing by *Eclipsehate on deviantART
Awww. I'm sorry to hear that. :hug: At least she's not in pain anymore.
I don't mind! And it wasn't really in reference to the same situation really. ^^;
I would just carry the bowl in the house to fill it most likely. I don't deal with the hose unless I have to. >.<
Yeah, I do the same thing too a lot. I'll save like ten reference images of something just to draw a single picture, LOL!
There is always the possibility of messing up while inking but you could always scan it at just the pencil stage so you have a backup before doing the inking just in case...
You'll just have to experiment to find your own style. I know I don't have one of my own down pat yet but I also hardly even draw/color anymore. Some of it has to do with my lack of a scanner and the rest is just lack of inspiration, time, willpower, etc. I used to just use colored pencils since it's easier but I like the clean look of digital coloring better in most cases. Your markers turned out really well. The one thing I've always hated about markers is how liney they can really turn out. I've never really managed to make them look smooth. V_V
Yeah, I'm glad about that. And I don't have to worry about waking up or coming home from work to find her already gone. I worried about that a lot in her last few days. T_T
Hahaha! A lot of times I'll end up not even drawing something. I have my next outfit for my avi (just saving up the gold), but I'm going to try and draw it so maybe I'll have the picture ready by the time I have the avi ready. :lol:
I need to get some whiteout so I can fix any inking mistakes I have. P:
I'm not too.... nervous about my inking anymore so it's not that big of a deal to me. And really the art I do isn't like "omg so awesome" that I'm that torn up about any mistakes. :lol:
Yeah. I'm still trying to find my own style. :yes:
I try to work quickly with the markers to avoid that liney look. They still show up though sometimes. I just use PS to increase the contrast and bring out the color to get rid of it as best as I can.
I wish I could color with colored pencils. :drool:
I need to do some big practice with digital art. Should get my laptop. And I need to find my dang pen for my tablet. Argh.
@ Iku: That's a good idea, drawing it beforehand. I never thought of doing that actually...
I don't think I've ever used white out for inking mistakes. I'd just photoshop it out after scanning the image if I made a mistake.
Hm, that's a good idea about how to do the markers and bumping up the contrast. I've never actually done it that way. I have a few other techniques I use usually. I like coloring with pencils better because it's much easier but they don't look as nice and crisp like anime artwork that way. >.< I have this really gorgeous nature scene I did all in pencils for art class, that's probably my best work using them. I think I might have a picture of it somewhere if I can dig it out sometime. I should really be going to bed though so it will have to wait until my next reply...
Ugh, I so want a tablet but I think we've been over this before. V_V
Yeah, we did. It was nice apart from the fact that it was thunder storming. T_T

I did the corrections for you there. With "au lieu" it's actually "au lieu de" and you can't leave that "de" hanging by itself, you have to put something on the end or say it differently. So your options are to either finish the sentance with the thing you didn't do, i.e. "I studied Spanish instead of studying French" or say "I studied Spanish in it's place" (J'ai étudié l'espagnol à sa place). It's a bit more complicated to say "instead" in French than in English. >.<
Mais oui, je suis très heureuse que tu es venu pour practiquer le français avec moi! Je suis d'accord avec toi, c'est le fil parfait pour pratiquer. Practice makes perfect, or so the saying goes! Moi aussi je mélange les langues. Des fois j'utilise des mots français avec l'allemande ou même l'anglais! ^^;

But yes, I am very happy that you came to practice French with me! I agree with you, this is the perfect thread for practicing. ... I too mix my languages. Sometimes I use French words with German or even English!

*looks at all the obvious mistakes*
Woah I really DO need to practise XDD
C'est amusent de mélanger los langues. Moi, j'aime à "tu es bobo" qui est espagnol et francais.
I also love to say nonsense in French in an angry voice, as if I'm insulting someone (<- I'm not even going to TRY to say that in French)
Par example, j'adore hurler "tu ES un chapeau!" à mes amis qui ne parlent pas le français XDDD
It's just spelling errors for the most part... If you use Firefox as your browser you can actually add a French spell check option which is what I use. I can explain how to do it if you're interested.

= J'aime dire n'importe quoi en français avec un ton furieux, comme j'insulte quelqu'un.
Quand j’étais au lycée, j'aimais bien dire des phrases avec le mot « fromage » comme « Je suis le fromage ! » même si c’était un peu bête. ^^;

I installed the French keyboard on my laptop but hardly use it, I've just been going with the alt codes. I have a little paper with all the codes taped to the wall right next to my desk. ^^;

Yes, I agree.
Like Arumaixana said, this thread is the perfect place to practice! I'm very happy to see some new faces here!
I'm going to take a French course in august I believe. I'm returning to New York City to be with my fiance.
You didn't make any errors, bravo!
