Artemis let him in and lead him to the living room where her parents where. Her mother stood smiling, she looked like a older version of Artemis. "Finally we get to meet our little girls boyfriend." "It's nice to meet you son." Her father held his hand out.

Ed cursed and started to track the scent.

Tom smiled at them."hello,its nice to meet you,I'm Tom",he said shaking hands.

The scent lead him out he back door ,up the street and into the forest,just outside his paks boundry.It went along for a while until it ended at a medium sized cabbin

Ed growled and slipped towards in keeping low to the ground.

They talked for a while "Well how about supper?" her mother stood and Artemis joined her leaving him alone with her father.

Tom gulped and smiled a bit to her father."so.."

When he was close enough he could hear Jay and his little vampire buddy Alex , arguing.

Jay growled as he paced."why is she still asleep?!"

Alex snorted." well you did chace her from her home,and over a small clift,she has a good bump on the head...diidnt help that you scratched and bit her....she'll be going through the change soon enough,then you better mark her so she cant love anyone else",he added

Jay looked to Luna who was dripping in sweat as she laied in a bed,that was barely standing,and frowned."thats why she has a fever",he said quitely and growled."this is her fault,i just wanted to talk,i wanted to show her i had changed...."

Alex just laughed."well now you'll have what you want,and soon,I'll have what i want"

Jay looked to him."You'r talking about Artemis ,right?"

Alex smirked."of course,shes beautiful,she'd make a great vampire,and wife,though i may have to hypnotize her to get close enough"

Ed growled and kicked the door in stepping inside. "You son of a bitch!" he grabbed Jay. "I'll kill you!" he snarled eyes turning gold. He should have called the pack to help him but he was way to pissed to think this threw. Instead he tossed Jay as far as he could and lunged after him transforming into his wolf form midleap. The sounds of a wolf fight would draw the others to him he just had to kill him before they stopped him.

"Do you like sports?" Her father asked chuckling. "Man talk is less complicated then girl talk. Though if you touch my girl the wrong way you'll regret it."

"love sports",Tom relaxed a bit and smiled."and i would never do that,my mother taught me better then that"

Jay and Alex were surprised to say the least when Ed came busting through.

Jay growled back and when he was thrown she shifted as well ,and charaged at Ed

Alex sighed leaning in the door way."he stayed down wind,smart kid"

Ed slammed into Jay biting into his arm.

"Do you hear something?" Artemis frowned.

The pack heard the fighting and headed for the sounds.

Tom blinked at the sound and a worried look came onto his face.'unforchantely yes....we should go check on Luna",he eyed Artemis.

Jay whined in pain then bit into Ed's shoulder

Ed growled and pawed at his face claws extended.

Artemis nodded and headed to Luna's. "What the happened?"

Tom kept her close as they walked around the house."Jay was here",he said eyes blood red."Ed's gone after them",he then blinked."and i smell...an older man?",he blinked confused.

Jay snreled and yelped moving away his left eyes being scratched,sniffng eh could smell his pack anf growled lower,almost saying coward.

Alex stood in the door way."i sudgest we leave this fight to another day my friend,you do have until the next full moon beofre she'll fully turn,after that she'll be a free wolf",he smirked.Then blinked as a norma looking dog came chargeubng up the hill and stood beside Ed growling at Jay

Then there was a bang and Jayu yelped reqoiling in pain.

Alex blinked joining Jay and frowned at teh wound."hunter",he looked past Ed and the dog to see an old man holding a rifel up to them,

the old man was glareing."you two,leave....and NEVER, come near my grandaughter and her...",he glanced to Ed."....boyfriend?",he almost asked Ed,"ever agaiun,if ye do,ye be dead",he said with a very thick irish accsent

Alex grabbed hold of Jay then making them a shadow they vanished.

The old man huffed ctahcing his breath."im gettin to old fer this",he said half limping towrads the cottage ,looking to Ed as he passed him."com on now boyo ,i'll be needin yer help gettin her home....i'll treat yer there too",tough he stopped as he saw the pack and smiled."so Lady Ariana is still in charge,good,i know er,its been eyards,it will be good to see er again"

"Old man?" Artemis blinked.

Ed transformed back. "Luna." he headed for her his shoulder bleeding heavily. "Oh no." he grimaced. "I should have been there." he ran a hand threw her hair. "I'm so sorry love." he went to try to lift her and hissed. "Damn it." he flinched.

Tom nodded."yeah....",he frowned more."a hunter",he looked to her."okay were gonna have to be fast",he looked to her."this will make you dizzey",he warned scooping her up.

Luna's eye's opened a moment,she saw a very blurry version of Ed ."Ed?",she mumbled before she slipped back into unconsciousness.

The dog ,also farely old,followed Ed and the old man in,sitting at the door waiting eagerly for Ariana,tail wagging

The old man sighed."sit back young man",he said pulling out a small vile."tis will urt "(yes im spelling it wrong but its how he's saying it Xd)),he said looking to his arm."did a number on ye didn't e?didnt notice with ye fer,i apologize",he smiled.'but a ealing mixture willl numb the pain and heal it in a few moments ,but as i warned it will be painful,just ope Lady Ariana will recognize this ol,bag of bones and not kill me for tryin to eal ye",he looked to Luna.'she sure has grown since i last saw her"

Ed blinked at him. "Who are you?" he asked frowning. At that moment a reddish brown wolf padded in transforming into Ariana as she got closer. "Well, well look what the car dragged in. I was wondering if you would ever show your face."

Artemis gripped Toms neck and held on tight.

'The old man smiled kindly to Ed." I am Orian....Luna's Grandfather",he blinked and looked to the door and smiled seeing Ariana."Hello Lady Ariana,it has been a long time",he then sighed watching the dog roll ver and laied at Arianas feet."Shamus ...be a good boy and don't pester her"

"I told you to come years ago and here you are dragging yourself in her at the last minute." Ariana frowned. "Poor girl didn't have anyone and she didn't even remember me." she pouted. "I think I deserve an explanation." Ed said softly frowning at them. Ariana sighed as she petted Shamus. "It's a long story." "I have all day." he growled. "Well Orian as he said is Luna's grandfather. I meet him years ago when I first ascended to Alpha. We are...allies? I guess. I've also meet Luna before when she was a little cub. Tom took a breath and they bcame like a speeding shadow,going through the woods,only stopping a few feet from the small cotage,he frowned at the smell of blood

Ed hissed and tried to not wake Luna. "What are we going to do with her?" "Take her to the manor and use the power of the pack to protect her." Ariana shrugged. "What about Jay? Orian looked to Tom,then back to Ed."The mannor sounds good",he agreed."safeest place....though,keeping her cooped up as she starts going through the change may not be the best thing...."

Tom blinked."wait -what,change?",he said shocked then blinked as Yuna groaned,making his go silent.

Luna's stered and came around,she blinked seeing Artemis,then could see he grandfatehr,Ariana,Shamous,and Tom."w-whats going on?",she asked sitting up

"Don't try to sit up yet." Ed pushed her back down gentle. "You lost a lot of blood and you shouldn't move around to soon." "I hadn't planned on locking her away." Ariana smiled at Yuna. "Good to see your still with us."

"Someone want to tell us what happened?" Artemis frowned.

Ed explained as best as he could. "I'm so sorry Luna if I had been there I could have stopped them. I should have been able to control my change." he was shaking. "Now your going to be a monster like me." "We are not monsters." Ariana frowned. "Well the one who bite you is. Don't worry Yuna you can stay with the pack and learn to control your powers. The first two weeks are always the worst...and as for the whole marking thing...well the full moon is another month away so you can figure out if you want Ed as your mate later."

Tom took a moment."t was Jay and Alex...wasn't it",he growled

Luna sat there trying to warp her head around what they were saying.Then she remembered Jay and Alex breaking in.her running,and not calling Ed because she knew he ahd to get through his change."wait what do you mean i have to make a choice of who would be my mate?"

Orian sighed taking a seat beside Luna.'breath",he said softly."first,you doint have to have set mate at any time,it is nice so no one else could have you....there are wolves who don't pick a mate .... they are still fine and well,",he said sternly."

Ed's hurt broke as he stared at her. "I'm so sorry." he put his head in his hands. 'Well if you survive the change yes you'll be a werewolf. Jay wants to make you one so that he can make you his mate." Ariana squeezed Eds shoulder. "And turning into a wolf is fun."

Luna took a moment and then carefully took Ed's hand."you'll be there to help...right?"

Orian smiled and looked to Ariana."if so,may i be there as well?"

Tom held Artemis's hand gently

Ariana frowned softly. "You can stay in the guest house. We have cubs in the house who would not like you."

"If you want me there." Ed looked up at her looking broken.
