@ziggie - sort of! i'm doing a lazy Oogie Boogie, i got a cool hat that looks like his face for a costume i did when i went to a Disney Halloween party earlier in the month, so i just wore it today with an Oogie Boogie tshirt for a more casual look. we went to vote, so i didn't want to go too crazy

Well, for GalaxyCon, it was check out the vendors. For NekoCon, it's usually hit up the gaming area, then check out the vendors and see what panels I want to hit up. For my area's ComiCon, it was largely looking up vendors and panels.
The common thing though, is taking in all the cosplays, and trying to pick a few cosplayers brains here and there. Though several are storebought, which can be a bit of a downer.

@brm- Nice! The vendors are my favorite part too, Artist Alley is like home to me, it's just amazing seeing how people interpret the same characters in different styles, and how creative people are with their backsplashes and how they make their merch. Do you end up asking people a lot of questions, or do you prefer just looking around?
I really love the cosplays too, I used to do some simple ones and it really made me appreciate how much work can go into even just a custom tshirt or a wig! Do you cosplay much yourself? What's the best tip you learned from someone?

Best tip? Pick a character and approximate as best you can, then build from that. Especially if you need help with tools like sewing machines. At least, that's what I was given. Kinda like most other art: Have a foundation, then refine from that.
As for "do I cosplay much", well, I don't know how to answer that. I've cosplayed for near all the conventions I've gone to thus far, but at current, I have only the one costume.

I like that! That's definitely a good art tip in general, just get something on the canvas/mannequin, and add to it as you go. Especially with how expensive cosplay can get, it's better to have room to grow than to stress over trying to get the perfect costume.
Who's your one costume? It's awesome you cosplay every time, it must be a familiar comfort now. Like your con armor.

Look up Jack, from the Mary Skelter games. Just because it's a relatively obscure costume, and I've been told it's a unique look.

You aren't even kidding. I've purposely been not watching the news because I'd rather be blissfully unaware. I'd much rather listen to chirps hahaha.

We know cats like brushes, but sweepers?

My cat tolerates brushes, but I get like 2 or 3 passes and he's like "Ok, mom, I'm done now"

Yuna is the same. She wants to be brushed when I bring out the brush but she always ends up attacking me.

I'm not sure that looks like a very loving bite, lol. I think Yuna gets overstimulated or something and doesn't know what to do with herself when it stops.

I'm glad Yuna isn't the only one then. She does brush herself though if I hold the brush still!

Omg that's too funny, because Dusty does that. If I hold the brush he will brush his face.

lol my cat only likes the comb if she can rub her face on it and then start chewing and kicking it definitely easily overstimulated, she doesn't like her body pet much and REALLY hates belly touches, which makes grooming her a little rough

Dusty is pretty easily over stimulated too. He doesn't mind when its on his terms but many times he will be very nope. He used to chomp down pretty hard when he got over stimulated. Now I've taught him that kisses are a good signal too. So he will start licking my fingers when he wants me to stop.

Imagine if something like this was real. Scary thought? Still a better use of CG than the live action Disney movies.

That's such a good idea, Cora! I'd better start training Sparks to do that too, that sounds adorable.
1000% agreed BRM, he has more personality in one wing than the entire runtime of Wish.
