@Izumi- Sounds like my old Biology teacher. Idk.. maybe.. lol the first day I walked into that class, I hear Thriller blasting and we had to spot the 6 differences as our warm-up. Actually got to semi-biologically-relevant topics afterward, but seriously... Teachers are supposed to teach. Games are fun if they help you to enjoy the process, or people have worked really hard, but that's not what school is for to have every day. Unless it's PE and it's working out doing a game. ya idk.. just... helping people be intelligent seems more worth it to me. But not just.. brick and mortar "you'll do this or get an F"... actually applying it to real life but learning to think for yourself... Seriously... not 6 differences and tributes to MJ. Lol man I hope your Japanese teacher wasn't that bad.

What kind of stuff did you go over in class? ((lol happen to remember your final? XB))

@Miach- I went to Kyoto, Tokyo, Utsunomiya and Chiba especially..

I don't remember any of the 'exam', other than as 'punishment' for people not staying on task he actually made a syllabus for the last couple of weeks and we had to do independent study and he checked it off as we got along. It really sucked as I really towed the line in that class and gave it my full effort.

@Miach: Oh yeah? Mine was a family trip.. to go see around Japan and to visit relatives. We spent time in Kyoto the longest although my family is mainly in Utsunomiya and Chiba.. or else they came there to see us, besides who live there.
What did you do in Tokyo? : 3 I didn't go around Tokyo very much.. just was at the Station and went to Disneyland/Disneysea.

@Izumi- ouch.. ya that doesn't sound very amusing. I remember.. we used to always do like "batsu/maru" where... lol it sounds a bit childish but it was fun.. we made our arms or our fingers to do the shape of an "X" for "batsu" and "O" for "maru" to say if what she was saying was right. Liek, pointing at "eki" and saying "ima" would be "batsu". And then there were gestures and tons of games but they were always so much practice.. it was fun. And one of the only things I'll miss about public school lol.

I missed those games too. Like we played this tako hatsu game and we would count until we got to something with 8 in it then have to say tako hatsu and start going in a different direction. Each person in the circle would take turns saying the numbers. It was cute.

We also had the 'write the kanji on the back' game too which was always a good time. One person had their back turned and someone would 'write' it with their finger on their back and they had to race to the chalkboard to write it first.

@Miach- Yeah 10 days. XD both when we were 14. What month?
@Izumi- Oh yeahh aha sounds cute.. though I've never played it. I wanna play this one game again... just a random thing to do I guess but I like it.. あっち向いてホイ where you do ジャンケンポン(rock, paper, scissors) and whoever wins points at the other person saying "acchi muite.." then at "hoi" they move their finger up, down, left or right. The person who is being pointed at has to move their face a different direction or else they lose haha. Guessing games too... and there was one where we had to convict someone who had another person and an alibi.. and they didn't know what we were going to ask but they had to come up with a story and say it in Japanese. Fun times 8D

That acchi game sounds like a lot of fun. We never played anything like that. Silly games do help you remember stuff like that. When you get into college though the silly games stop and it's pretty serious studying. I missed the more creative learning techniques.

@Miach- Ook I went in August of '07. What was the weather like?
@Izumi- Yeah I guess that's now for if you can find a study group willing enough.. but everyone's out there to get there degree, ne? Hmm.. What are you majoring in? Taking Japanese on the side, or is it more important than that?

Nope not majoring or minoring in Japanese. I'm going to a local community college to get qualification to work in a health field related position. Probably Medical Assistant. Seems a shame doesn't it?

@Miach- Idk just there are different things you can expect when you go at different times. Personally I'd like to go during the spring time and get a glimpse at the cherry tree festivals.. and in July as well for hanabi and fourth of July. lol ohh omg and to see the business on New years..? omg.. xD I'm so sending messages to everyone I know. Hmm do you happen to know anything about festivals?
