Katherine shifted into her panther form and replied, 'Anywhere, I just want the freedom to roam.'

Gregori nodded to Dominic and Katherine before looking at Ansly saying, "Would it be possible for us to talk to you more, we didn't think creatures existed outside of this world and your being here obviously proves that to be wrong. Mikhail must here about this and meet you."

Dominic nodded and as soon as they were away from the others, took a panther form. "then let us run."

Ansly crossed her arms with a slight glare. "Of course there are other creatures elsewhere!!" she blurted out, annoyed enough to get past her shyness. "Legend says we were once earthlings!"

The werewolf lurked, pacing back and forth far from where he sensed Carpathians. His mind was filled with rage and a certain rabidness...and hunger, but even in this stange state, he wasn't stupid enough to confront them directly. BUt oh those women smelled delicious! It disturbed him slightly how rabid he was becoming since a run in with a strange enemy a fortnight ago, but he couldn't seem to think on it long before he was hungry again. He drew in a deep breath again and decided that the strange smelling woman was the one he wanted. He howled, the sound exactly that of a normal wolf and the moon started to disappear in the sky.

Katherine set off at an easy lope, just enjoying the power she could feel in the muscles and the smells of the Carpathians mountains.

Gareth looked around, his sixth sense prickling but he wasn't really able to pick anything up no blank spots no nothing. He shrugged but kept a wary eye out. He looked up and frowned slightly, the moon was vanishing? "I didn't think there was supposed to be a lunar eclipse anytime soon."

Dominic ran by her side, enjoying running next to his lifemate more than anything else. His ears pricked up though at the sound of a wolf howling. How strange....especially that no wolf answered it. He inched a bit closer to Katherine just in case.

Ansly's heart slammed in her chest and she froze, everything starting to feel wrong in her. He eyes went wide at first, then suddenly they narrowed to very small points in her face. She stumbled away from Gareth, her eyes fixed on the moon. She had to get to it! she had to chase her moon!!

Katherine looked at Dominic, giving the panther equivalent of a raised eyebrow, before mrowring slightly.

Gareth looked at Anlsy, his eyes widening at her panic, he reached out to pull her back to him.

Dominic managed to shrug as he ran. He was curious, especially when the moon disappeared from sight, but not that worried. He kept his senses alert, but he didn't sense anything hostile aimed towards him or his lifemate.

"Don't touch me!" Ansly shouted suddenly, dodging his hand quickly. She could feel her energy being sucked from her and just nearness with Gareth's great energy seemed to swallow her. Tiny sparks of silver were trailing off of her as if she were slowly fading and Ansly launched into the sky, chasing the moon in a wild panic.

Katherine ran closer to Dominic brushing her fur against Dominic's purring quite loudly, this is what it felt like to be free and the fact that she could share it was Dominic was amazing.

"Shit" Gareth yelled and took off in the direction that Ansly had vanished, a wild panic filling him.

Dominic beamed, licking Katherine's face as he ran. He opened his mind to her, wanting to share his joy and share in hers.

Ansly couldn't hold out in her present form though. she tried to quickly change into something smaller or quicker so she could get to the moon's surface, but she wasn't even out of the Earth's atmosphere yet. She started to float back down, unable to hold the energy. Why was the eclipse effecting her so? Shouldn't just a bit of light be coming to her, but she felt so suddenly closed off and alone. she felt like she was in a vacuum with no air, she thought as she slowly made her way to the ground.

The werewolf was keeping pace with Ansly from the ground, his eyes hungry as he waited for her to land. then he would have a really tasty meal! the wolf in him whispered in a rabid voice and a red haze seemed to cloud his mind as she landed in a white heap not far from him. He put on a burst of speed, shifting to his wolf form as he ran, knowing that the shift was likely to alert the Carpathians. he put on an extra burst of speed in case they tried to stop him.

Katherine shook her head slightly at his lick but gave a cat grin and allowed their minds to meld completely. So that truly there was no seperation between them except the fact that they were true seperate entities. She gasped slightly, mentally, this feeling.... it was so different, but amazing.

Gareth was not far behind Ansly but far enough behind that he had to use scent and instinct to locate her, he blinked and growled smelling a wolf, but it smelled off something was wrong and he had a feeling his lifemate was in true danger.

Dominic smiled warmly in Katherine mind. He was gentle, showing her that gentle truly was amazing as he ran joyously through the forest.

Ansly sat up quickly, her senses on fire. she looked around, still feeling blind without the silvery orb that gave her life. A snap made her jump and she weakly surged to her feet, fighting not to sway. Suddenly, a snarling wolf appeared in front of her and she jerked back just in time to miss an attack. she started running blindly, but the wolf just knocked her down. Ansly screamed in terror, her mind a haze with it as the creature started clawing her and tearing flesh. Her entire mind shut down, leaving her barely conscious as fangs bit in.

Katherine smiled back at Dominic, feeling joy wash over her in large amounts and then she realized suddenly this is what had been missing so long in her life, she was complete like this. being fully with Dominic.

Gareth heard Ansly's terror-stricken scream and moved faster fear clouding his heart and his vision becoming an angry haze of red. Whoever had made her scream like that would pay. He came across were the wolf was tearing into Ansly and lost it, seeing his lifemate being mistreated so. He roared and charged the wolf his vision a deep bloody red, his eyes glowing a bright killing glow. He slammed into the wolf full force.

Dominic, so immersed in her thoughts, smiled so warmly at the admission. "I love you so much more than words can ever say, Katherine dearest." he whispered to her lovingly.

Ansly only lay there, whimpering on the ground, afraid to move, afraid to even breath. And still she was weak...and now she was sure she was dying. vaguely she noticed that Gareth was there. Maybe he could take the pain away....her thoughts grew less coherent as she slipped further away into her mind.

'I understand Dominic, I love you too.... even with this still all being new to me. I understand now. Katherine responded, earnestly.

Gareth fought with the werewolf, his killing rage so strong that he quickly snapped the things throat and tossed it aside like trash. He hurried to his lifemate and picked her up cradling her to him, she needed healing and fast. He headed back to the clearing hoping Gregori was still there, Gareth didn't think his own healing skills would be enough.

Dominic rubbed her side, absolutely glowing with warmth. "It is new to be as well, cistri, but I could never resist you if I tried." he said with total honesty. A twinge of apprehension hit him suddenly and he looked about in nervousness. "I think I sense something horrible has happened..."

Ansly faintly noticed Gareth and she held on to him mentally, using the great Carpathian's strength as her own. "gareth....' and then she was silent again, her mind blocking out every thought so she wouldn't have to think about what had happened to her.

Katherine looked at Dominic Something horrible? But what....? she asked confused.

"I'm here cstiri just stay with me." Gareth said, "Just stay with." He walked back into the clearing and looked at Gregori, "She was attacked by a rabid wolf, she needs healing and fast."

Gregori looked up and immediately went to healing, "You are going to have to give her some of your blood, she's lost too much but it will start to convert her."

Dominic shook his head in confusion. 'I'm not sure. Let us go back to where the others are.' Without waiting for agreement, he started to urge Katherine back.

Ansly lost consciousness, trusting that Gareth would see her through this.

Katherine turned back sighing and padded back through the trees, worried but also slightly annoyed that her and Dominic's run had been interrupted.

Gareth nodded and slit his wrist with his teeth holding the bleeding cut to her rubbing her throat to make her swallow convulsively. Gregori sat next to Ansly and exited his body entering Ansly's as pure healing light. He took his tame make sure the wounds were healed properly so no infection could get in and also studying Ansly.

Dominic trotted back into the clearing that still had a few wisps of snow laying on the ground, the cold mountain air keeping it from melting. the sight that met him was horrifying and he was in human form in an instant. "Gareth! What has happened to your lifemate? What may I do to help?"

Katherine gasped seeing Ansly's torn up form she sat down with a plop and then laid down staring at Ansly, shocked. She stayed in her panther form a default for her, she was too shocked to even try obtaining her human form right now. She let out a pitiful meow.

Gareth looked up at Dominic, "Gregori will need blood Dominic.

(now? its been a while since I read a carpathian book. when gregori comes back right?)

Dominic nodded, ready to give any assistance necessary. He ran a hand comfortingly through Katherine's fur. "Do not worry, dearest, Gregori is a very skilled healer." He hoped there was no cause to worry.

Katherine nodded trusting Dominic but still worried, she gave a cat version of whine (they can do it is a very strange noise) and closed her purple eyes not wanting to look at Ansly's torn up form anymore.

Gregori pulled out of Ansly swaying a bit, he still had a bit more healing to do but he couldn't continue without some blood.

Dominic tore his wrist and offered it to Gregori, trying to read his face. "Is she alright Gregori?"

"She should be, that wolf really tore her up and her makeup is a little bit differnt from anything I've ever seen so she's difficult to heal, but she should be fine, after awhile..... I'm afraid Gareth may have to convert her though... I'm not sure how tough she is... if her body can take this." Gregori said, his voice rough and tired, but dead serious.

Gareth looked down at his lifemate, his eyes considerate.... He had wanted to convert her since he'd first lain eyes on her but had left it up to her to decide, and now.... well... he just didn't know. He didn't want to make her hate him, "I'll convert her if necessary, but she had wished to not be converted....."

(I'll say her race is very strong, so she should heal quickly, the moon will help)

Dominic looked up at the sky as the eclipse that caused this entire disaster started to slowly end. Ansly's skin started to glow a bit as the rays made their way to her and she lost some of the greyish, dead look that had come upon her. It almost appeared as it the moon's rays were flowing into her.

Gareth looked at Ansly shock showing clearly in his eyes, what was going on. He just watched amazing.

Gregori too watched amazing not comprehend what he was seeing.
