I got a idea but not a plot maybe a prince of the other race. has a jealous younger sibling that wants to marry the princess. so the older prince run's away form home cause the younger sibling try's to kill him. the prince some how end's up in a kingdom of the princess he was to marry and meets her. yet the marriage is a arranged one but the princess fall's in love with the prince she was to marry how is not a potion master.

So it's more of an arranged marriage plot?

For that one, I thought that the pirate captain could take over the princess' ship before the ship is supposed to leave for the groom's kingdom.

Then the princess can be held for ransom or what not.
