Mycroft blinked, then poked him lightly.

"I...well, I consider myself...more pansexual than anything else. Um...I really don't care about looks, or gender, or anything...personality is all that matters," he replied, chewing his lip. It was tingling. "I've never been attracted to a guy before, so I don't know what it would feel like...but...Emily broke my trust, and maybe part of my heart. So I guess I'm single...and willing to give it a shot..."

He wasn't sure, but he was curious...and he was willing to go for it.

"You don't have to if you don't want to." Kire said, giving a sigh in defeat. "I just did something utterly stupid again, and expect nothing in return. I'm fine." he said, crawling over to get his Jason mask again, and put it on, hiding his saddened expression. "Ch ch ch ch ah ah ah ah." Kire joked.

Mycroft grinned for a moment, then frowned and whisked the mask away from his face, jaw set. "No, I...I want to try," he managed, awkwardly. "Please. At least let me try."

He seemed like he was completely serious, even though it felt a bit awkward.

"You don't have to. I'm completely and utterly okay." Kire insisted, taking the mask off and grinning. "I just felt like a kiss. Welcome back, and welcome to hell."

"But I want to," Mycroft repeated, enunciating 'want.' He seemed nervous. "I would like to try...if you're willing to try..."

"You're straight. I don't care, nor do I need to be in a relationship of any time. Give it up." Kire said, wishing to just drop the subject.

"How do you know I'm straight? I don't even know," Mycroft retorted, stubbornly. "There's no harm in trying..." He seemed like he was going to push this until he at least got to try it...

"If you're going to act like a brat, then leave." Kire said, getting annoyed now. "I said I don't want to so stop trying to force me."

"I'm not trying to force you..." Mycroft mumbled, staring at the floor. "I was just curious..." He sounded downtrodden, like he'd been slapped, almost.

"The truth is Mycroft, you're wrong." Kire snapped, rolling his eyes. Faking his anger and resistance. He wanted to....He just didn't want his friend involved in what he did. The other would get hurt. "Drop the subject, or, guess what! Leave."

"Do you really want to drop the subject, or are you just trying to push me away, or protect me from...whatever?" Mycroft retorted evenly, eyes on the floor. "If it's anything other than the first thing I said, then knock it off, please. I can take care of myself..."

"Its both got an answer for that." Kire said, crawling away from the other, "Just...Find a nice girl or something okay? Or guy for all I care. " he mumbled, picking the mask off the bed. "Not a whore."

"I don't care what you've done, okay? You're my friend, and that...what you did...it confused me, because I wasn't sure about it and yet I had no desire to pull away..." Mycroft mumbled, still keeping his eyes on the floor. "That's why I feel like trying it..."

Kire laughed dryly, "Fine. But you realized, I will be 'cheating' on you all the time. " he rolled his eyes and sighed. "You really want to try do you?"

"Yeah...I do want to try, and I don't mind..." he assured him. "As long as it's just for money or something and not for emotional stuff, I don't care who you sleep with..."

Emily had cheated on him with a boy she'd secretly been going around dating, if what her friend said was correct. So, that had been for emotional reasons...

"Fine." Kire said simply, then looked back over at Mycroft. He was happy, but didn't show it, instead just looked upset. Like Mycroft made the worst decision of his life. He heard a door open and close from downstairs, then hopped off his bed, and over to one of the windows, "My mom's home."

"You think she'd be happy to see me?" Mycroft asked, also happy. He was a little confused, still, but still happy.

"She doesn't hate you. Yeah probably. She'll think you're a 'good influence' on me or something." Kire said, shrugging then opening the attic door, and leveling the ladder down, then climbing down it carefully. "Come on."

"Okay!" Mycroft went with him contently, feeling...elated, for some reason. Kire's mother had always adored Mycroft. She would always tell him he looked like a cherubic little blonde angel--something Mycroft had been appalled by.

"Hey mom!" Kire yelled, then hearing a 'what' from his mother. "I brought a friend over." he said, taking Mycroft's hand and dragging him to the kitchen.

"Is that really you Mycroft? I heard your parents moved back." Kire mom said in a nice tone.

"Hi! Yeah, it's me," Mycroft greeted, grinning sheepishly. "How've you guys been doing?" He didn't let go of Kire's hand, even after being dragged into the kitchen.

"Good. How are you and your family doing after the move?" She asked, smiling and setting down the groceries she had picked up. Kire let go of Mycroft's hand and sat down on the barstool.

"Everything's been moving smoothly," Mycroft replied, going to stand by Kire contently. "We're going to get settled in...and then I really want to go see my brother. I'm sure he misses us..."

"Yeah he's been talking about you, I think you can meet up with him anyday now." Kire mom said, smiling then looking between her son and his friend. She crinkled her nose and went to do something else, "Maybe this weekend you and your family can come over for dinner like old times."


Kire looked at Mycroft and moved his head in the opposite direction.

"Sure, I'd like that," Mycroft agreed, nodding. He seemed very happy, for some reason. He didn't seem to mind that Kire was uncomfortable...he wouldn't push anything until he did seem comfortable.

Mycroft had also decided he would try to steer him from some of his current behaviors...maybe having someone close to him that he could rely on and talk to would help--that was what he was thinking.
