Oh lucky you. I don't know if it was my mindset at the time, what with me being overwhelmed with other courses, but he was just murder. We had to read forty or so pages of him a night, and with me taking continuous notes to make sure I could digest it, it took me about 7 hours :cry: You'll no doubt have to study a bit of Immanuel Kant though. He's rather complex as well. I hope you have an awesome teacher =3

Lazy could be good if it meant a lighter course load, but with philosophy you probably want an engaged one.

It's a bit disconcerting reading a philosophy book though, at least for me. I read things at ultra speed, so I was really surprised that I only got to page 88 in two hours. xD

Exactly! That's why Schopenhauer took me so long. Well that, and the fact that he does not stop giving examples for his points. So you have to re-gear every time he starts one.

But I dunno, I generally skip over the super formal talk and go straight to the examples - those are really what get me thinking, not reading about some abstract concept.

Aaah. I made sure I read every word. I felt that it all adds up to the larger picture with philosophy. But that's just me.

I have a really short attention span.
That, coupled with long sentences musing about abstract stuff, you get a very bored and zoned out Windy.
