Curry finally decided to intervene, when he noticed that Ali had made one simple mistake...he stepped between Ali and the crying creature and scooped it up into one of his big hands. He held the creature up so that he couldn't claw at anyone or anything...he would wait until Ali figured out what he had done wrong.
These humans had helped soothe his wounds. He figured it was only fair to help them.
The crying creature, most likely an Infected, screamed even more when Curry interfered. He tried to swipe and claw at him, eyes blazing with anger. Tears still streamed down his cheeks.
Rand pointed at the sticky bun again, now collapsed on the ground out of pain. He did so insistently. The crying ones had a limited sense of smell...plastic was something they could not smell through.

Kyle watched Ali, confused. What was he doing. Was he trying to get killed. Ali seemed confused too. He looked at the bun, staring at it. "Maybe..." He took off the plastic from it. Ali stared at it, wanting to bite into it so badly. He sighed and then set it on the ground before stepping away. "I'm sorry, I'm not meaning to upset you..." He raised his hands in surrender.

Suddenly, the screeching Infected fell silent. He began to sniff the air, almost obsessively. He smelled the sticky bun...the sugar, specifically. His kind was addicted to sugar.
Curry set the much smaller Infected--smaller than both himself and Rand--down onto the ground and watched with amusement as he scrambled towards the sticky bun, knelt down, and speared it with one of his claws so he could bring it up to his mouth and eat it.
The crying ones were obsessed with sugar. They gathered in troves in fields of sugarcane and in sugar mills...even in oil refineries, where sugar was used for some of the process. Candy shops and chocolate factories had been overrun by these crying creatures.
Humans these days referred to them as 'Witches.'
Rand let his head sink down onto the ground in relief. He was panting. He appeared to have opened up his wounds with the effort that walking took. He was healing rather rapidly, but not rapidly enough--he hadn't healed completely yet. Infected tended to heal quickly for some reason.

Kyle sighed in relief as well. The Infected seemed clam. He couldn't believe that they didn't know that yet. Sweet things. It calmed the crying ones. Kyle easily put two and two together. He watched him though, before looking up at Curry.
Ali glanced back at Rand. "You idiot..." He realized his wounds were opened and then put him on his back. He would have Jessica put more f that stuff on his wounds. "This is why you don't walk with two injuried legs."

Curry watched the Witch for a long moment and then fixed Kyle with a bored but questioning sort of look. The Witch was almost done eating. Once he finished eating, there was not telling what he would do. They did not like being near humans, or bright light...so, what would they do with the Witch once it was finished? Leave him?
The Witch was almost done eating the sticky bun. He was using the one hand he had it speared on to eat and the other to cover his eyes from the sun. It appeared that the sunlight hurt his eyes something awful.
Rand grumbled a bit when Ali picked him up. He didn't like being scolded.

Kyle stood and then decided it was best to leave him alone. He motioned for Curry to follow and walk away from the one eatting and over to is friends.
Ali moved back over to Jessica, setting him down once more. "He opened up his wound again...Jessica..." Jessica help up a hand. "Say no more." She giggled, but looked up at the one still eatting. "Was he the one crying?" Ali nodded. "Yes. he is a sad creature..." Jessica looked over. "Poor thing..." She whispered before making up more ointment. Once it was done she rubbed it on his wounds. "You have to be carefull. "She said with a giggle.

Curry plodded away from the Witch as well. He kept his distance from the humans, also...he was not a very social or friendly creature, it seemed...even less so than Rand was. He kept an eye on the Witch. Witches were some of the only Infected that could pose problems for his kind, Tanks. They were irritably nasty...even more so during the night, though.
Rand grunted, half-understanding what she was trying to say. He didn't know much English. He didn't care for being touched--he shied away and growled--but he didn't attack.
When the Witch finished eating, he stood up again, slowly. His clawed hands immediately draped themselves over his eyes to shield them from the sun. A soft, mournful sobbing started up again from his direction and he began to amble around aimlessly, occasionally stopping, turning, and moving in a completely different direction. He wasn't paying attention to where he was walking.
The sunlight was hurting his eyes.

Kyle sat on the ground, rubbing his leg. "I'm so tired...It seems like we are going no where..." He complained. Hayden looked at him. "Cause we're not, we've been stuck here all day."
Jessica finished up, wrapping his wounds back up and said. "There." She smiled, however it fade when she heard the crying. She looked over and felt sorry for it. "I think he wants to get out of the sun...maybe...I'm not sure but..." Jessica stared, feeling the urg to jump up and help that poor creature but stayed still. She was still afriad of it killing her.

Curry seemed annoyed by the crying. He made a snorting sort of sound and turned around, stalking towards the Witch. He scooped him up with one hand, causing the other to gasp and start to growl softly. He didn't give the Witch time to be upset, however. He made his way across the gap between himself and the humans. There was a small, dark, abandoned little shed behind them...he shoved the Witch into that small space, far into the back of it.
The Witch's clawed hands dropped from around his eyes. He sank down onto the ground slowly, sitting down, and dropped his arms to his sides. He continued to cry.

Kyle watched Curry and sighed. He soon stood up, and said. "We need to get going..." He grabbed his bag and looked at Curry, wondering if he was going to be joining them on teir travels.
Ali sighed. "Yes, Yes. Dark will approach soon." He turned around and helped Rand onto his back. He waited till he was on to stand up and begin walking. Hayden grabbed his bag, as did Jessica. She let out a yawn saying. "We better find one soon..." Jessica was tired and ready to sleep. She didn't care where anymore.

Curry sniffed slightly and was about to follow them when he stopped and half-heartedly glanced into the shed again at the crying Witch. He hated the crying things...he'd been attacked by more than one once in his life.
But honest-to-goodness, he'd never seen a male one. Never in all his Infected life. They were all women...every single one of them. Males were rare...he had never seen one. For some reason, this particular Witch struck something in his violence-focused body. Something was wrong.
He recognized him, from somewhere. An old family member, maybe...?
Rand clung to Ali's back like some sort of spider monkey. Hunters were a lot like a mix between a cat, a dog, and a monkey...

Kyle waited for everyone to pass him, since he was usually the one in the back. He was also waiting for Curry, but found out he wasn't coming. "well, good luck." He smiled before turning and finally walking off, following the others.
Ali looked up ahead. "I think I remember this trail. There should be a cave up here." Ali winced some, a hand going to the eye that was hidden with the eye patch. His eye was acting up again. No one in the group knew what really happened to his eye. Ali didn't tell them much, and he would prefer to keep it that way.

Curry stayed put for a moment longer as he watched the humans walk off. Finally, he made a low growling sound and reached back into the shed, wrapping one of his big hands around the witch. He intended to take the much smaller creature along with them.
The Witch growled in annoyance, and that quickly escalated to some frenzied screams and clawing at the big Tank holding him. Curry was holding him in just the right way so his deadly claws wouldn't reach him. But the Witch was sure making a racket. His screams repelled Infected, but they could probably be heard from quite a ways away.
Rand growled lowly, irritated by the loud ruckus the Witch was making, and he gingerly lifted his hands up to place them over his ears.

Ali sighed. "Seems like Curry is having some fun with the other..." He din't seem to mind the noise, as for the others seemed to be getting a headache. Hayden, with his bad temper turned around. "Shut up!" He yelled as lound as he could, before he continued to walk. Hayden was getting pissed off with all of these creatures. He didn't get why they were involving themselves with them.
Kyle glance back at Curry, wondering what he was planning. However, Kyle could not stop and find out, he would have to keep walking. Though he would glance back at him every now and again. Jessica pulled on his shirt. "I don't like this...These infected use to be humans...but yet...we treat them like they are the real enemy. Like they are to blame...I want to help..." Kyle sighed and patted her head. "I know..."

Curry quickly caught up with the humans--the ground shook as he ran, announcing his arrival beforehand. The shrieking and snarling Witch in his hand, which he was holding straight up in the air, did not seem to faze him. He walked a little bit behind the group, trying futilely to find a way to calm the hysterical creature dangling above him down.
Witches were among the most mysterious of the Infected. Their reasons for crying and for their addiction to sweets were totally unknown.
Rand joined in with Hayden when he yelled, screeching in the direction of the overly-loud crying creature. Hunters hated Witches. They never got along and often fought with each other.

Hayden held his head when he heard Curry, actually felt Curry come over towards them. "Oh no, no way are you bringing him with us." Hayden turned around, looring at Curry. Kyle sighed and made Hayden turn back around and pushed him slightly. "Just keep walking." It was almost as if he was defending Curry. Jessica smiled some. "He's being nice to the infected, I know it may just seem like he's scaring him more, but normally would he just kill him...See!" She turned to the others. "They may not act or show it, but they have hearts, and are still human, in some way!"
Ali chuckled. "You guys are funny..." Everyone just stared at him in confusion, and in that time, Ali approached the cave. Fianlly. He ducked inside, and of course, it was dark and wet, but would have to do. He sset Rand down, and left to gather things for a fire. Jessica entered, sitting on the cave floor, silent, along with Kyle and Hayden, who was pouting,

Curry had no idea what to do with the screaming, struggling Witch, so he just stayed outside of the cave and continued to hold the infuriated creature high up above his head. Tanks were not the most intelligent of Infected...they were brutes who had a lot of power and muscle, but little to no thinking power.
Hunters were much more crafty and intelligent. Hunters often operated like pack animals, like wolves almost. Packs of Hunters were common. They often had an alpha, a beta...a whole hierarchy of power. Rand was a lone Hunter...a rare sight these days.
But that didn't make him any less intelligent. It was easier for him to work things out than it was for Curry. When he was set down he sniffed the air, glancing up at the Witch struggling to get free from Curry's big, meaty hand. He noticed that the skinny thing would often stop to cover its eyes, to block out the sun, and grew more distressed whenever one of the humans made a loud sound. He would also reach up constantly and press his hands against his head.
Something seemed to click in Rand's mind. He sat up, shakily, and began to make clicking noises to try and gain someone's attention. He held his hands fast to his head and feigned a pained expression, and then he pointed shakily up at the Witch.
...A headache, perhaps? A terrible, splitting migraine...

Ali was the only one who seemed to notice that Rand was trying to get their attention. Ali sighed and then soon understoond what he was saying. He looked at Kyle. "Can you get Curry to make him be quiet, he's causing us all headaches..." Kyle tilted his head, looking out at Curry and the Witch. He then remembered something from before. When he found him, he was under a bridge, shaded from light, and when he came out, he seemed troubled by it. Witches hated Sun. He got it now.
Kyle stood up and said. "Bring him in." He pointed at the entrance of the cave. However, just incase Curry wasn't listening, he went ahead, taking off his jacket (more like vest) and put it over the Witches head to sheild him from the light.

The Witch did not seem convinced by the jacket being thrown over his head--he continued to struggle until it fell off. He was glowering at Curry and seemed hellbent on clawing him until his guts spilled out.
It took some effort for Curry to squeeze into the cave, but once he did he shimmed towards the back and, as gently as he could, dropped the Witch down onto the ground, far away from everyone else.
The Witch cast him a few furious glares and a few more irritated growl-groans as he sank down to the ground into a sitting position. When he finally got himself situated, he looked down, his hair falling into his face, and began to weep again.

Kyle sighed. he didn't think it would work. He picked his coat off the ground, and slipping back on. When Curry sqeeze in, he entered after him. He sat on the ground by Jessica, letting his blonde bangs fall in his face as he stared down at the ground. He wasn't really focused on anything on the ground, just thinking. Like he did every night. Thinking about if they would survive or not. Kyle didn't show it, but he was as scared as anyone else here. He wold even bet that Ali, too, was scared.
Ali stared at Kyle for a moment as he. himself, took a spot by Rand. Ali then looked at the other two. Jessica and Hayden. Those two were the youngest, and felt more protective towards them. He felt that way towards Kyle as well. Ali was the oldest, and felt it was his responsibility to protect them all and now with Rand, Curry, and the Wtich there, it would be nore difficult, cause yes, they haven't harmed them yet, but you never know when they might snap. He was more worried about the Witch though.

Rand obviously didn't like having that Witch so close by. Witches irritated him. They were terrible pack Infected--like Tanks, they were mostly loners. Some Hunters were known to be strangely attached to certain Witches, and they would defend them to the death in the case of an attack by Survivors. Rand was not one of these Hunters...
He curled up tightly once Ali settled down next to him, intending to get some rest. But he couldn't fall asleep. No, that stupid creature's wails were far too loud to make sleep a possibility...
Curry appeared to be spacing out a bit and thus wasn't as affected by the Witch's cries. He was much more composed.
The Witch ignored them all. He had gone back to crying just as he had been before, occasionally reaching his clawed hand up to wipe away tears with the side of his hand, which was not deformed beyond recognition yet.

(I just realized that earlier I said Ali had left to get fire wood. I don't know where my head way during those other posts. Sorry DX )
Ali leaned his head back. He never did find fire wood that was dry, so he had given up long ago. He had ignored the Witch, for him it wasn't that hard. But he could tell that Haden was getting a little annoyed. He shook his head, watching Hayden glare towards the Witch. Jessica was trying to get her mind off of everything by humming a little song as she stared at the ground. Kyle seemed to already be alseep.

((It's fine!))
Rand began to let out some low grumbles of annoyance. After a few minutes, he lifted his head and flat-out snarled in the Witch's direction, baring his teeth at the persistently depressed Infected. He had hated when people cried even before being Infected--crying was stupid, and what weaklings did.
The Witch did not seem to notice him. He continued to weep, the tears incessantly slipping down his cheeks. Why was he crying...? Was his headache that bad...?

Ali looked over at him and then to the Witch. He wasn't really sure what to do, so he just leaned his head back, saying. "Try to get to sleep. All of you. Even you, crying one..." he sighed before closing his eyes. Kyle stretched out and looked at Jessica who was looking at him and Kyle laughed. "Yes, c'mon." He answered, as if knowing what she was asking. Jessica laid down, resting her head in his lap. She felt comofrtable around them, and if she wasn't sleeping on Kyle's lap, she was sleeping on Ali's or Hayden's.

Curry snorted a little, after he'd taken a minute or so to break down what Ali had said. There was no way he was getting to sleep. He was certain that the Witch did not hear a single thing that Ali had said. Witches tended to be generally uncaring of their surroundings as long as they were left alone, and they did not take notice of much unless it was disturbing them...
The Witch did not seem to hear Ali, as Curry had suspected. He continued to cry, his little body shaking with the efforts of his sobs. There had to be something that could quell that crying of his...but what?
Rand growled--it was the signature growling noise of his breed. With a bit of effort, he eased himself up into a shaky sitting position. He sat in a dog-like fashion, on his haunches. It was likely that he was going to attack the Witch if someone didn't find a way to shut the creature up.
