Ace Strife: That's fine, I don't mind sending it.. trade has been completed. Thanks again for selling! :hug: <3
Emma Corrin: Well, I'm eventually going to have to get it back sooner than later especially if my Mom or Dad want the pictures from our May 2011 vacay since I have them ALL (with exception to the ones my brother took on his iPod touch) on my MacBook Pro. P:
Well, I've tried looking in my Mom's room for my MacBook Pro and since the last time I've found it, she's found an even better hiding place which I have yet to discover so far. /sadface
Lol, yeah. So I just dropped my donation in the mailbox thingy after I donated 500mL of blood on my...five hour walk. <3 And yes, I said five hour walk. >_>; But half of that time was spent at the local civic centre where the blood donor clinic was today. : D
Mmm.. that's always a good idea.
True, true.. but still.. maybe one day when technology can make cleaning used ones 110% safe. But for now, I suppose using brand new ones would do.
Oh yeah, totally forgot recycled ones could be dented or rusted. XD; /fail
D:
Toronto's not that far away! <3
Just think of Toronto as your nearby northern neighbour! ; ) Also: Yay for alliteration!
Dang, it's so hard to type with this thingie they put around my elbow joint area to keep band-aid in place... and I'd take it off in an instant if it weren't for the fact that I like it there cause it's amusing and the outside texture of it is quite fun to feel. >_>;

crunky: Lol. Same here! But I don't really talk much online, at least when compared to some moments in real life. XP Though when I get like really, really excited.. I can talk for ages! >w<
Ace Strife: Yeah, I'm thinking of changing soon.. but not yet.. might as well keep my current for a bit longer while I come up with a new idea for my next avatar. >w<
Aw, you need more excitement in your life. *nods* Perhaps you should talk about yourself then? What are you like? Live in Canada, USA, other?
If you could have a superpower, what would you have? And only one superpower allowed.
Do you like sports? If yes, which ones and which teams do you follow/are a fan of?
What do you do for work?
Have you ever donated blood before? If yes, how many times and what did you think of your experience(s)?
Not bad, I went for a five hour walk today... though I don't think five hour really makes it count as a walk anymore. And half the time I was at the local civic centre donating 500mL of blood, since after the 7 minutes and 2 seconds it took to get the blood out of the smaller side vein, I ended up chatting with a fellow donator who also turned out to be a pretty huge hockey fan. <3
Oh, and I also mailed in a donation to Menewsha! Hopefully when it gets to Juru and I get my Mennies, I'll be able to use them to help me play catch up with the items I've missed during my kind-of-hiatus-where-in-reality-I-actually-forgot-about-Menewsha. >_>;

I think you have just described most of us on menewsha. xD I usually post about all the things that annoy me or that I like. It's amazing how much detail you can go into over nothing topics. But we all like reading what's going on. Plus, I think it's nice to know we all are a little boring. It makes me feel more normal. xD

Hahaha Gotta love when parents do that!
And I take it your have it password protected to where your parents cant get into it or something?
(You said you need it back for them to get the pictures lol)
Yay for donating blood!
But danggggg - 5 hour walk?
That's crazyyy!!
But I bet it was a nice refreshing walk though :3
Haha Yeahhh - for as long as I own the company it will be factory bought unused cans for everything :3
I'll even put it in the contract if I pass it down that only new cans can be used lol
If I knew that my gift can was a recycled paint can and it had food in it or spa items - I'd be revolted and wouldn't use them or eat them lol
And I'm sure 99.9% of my customers feel the same way 'cause they always confirm that it's new cans etc haha
It's different if it's recycled and reused for paint than it is to recycle it and use it for a gift can that could be filled with newborn items :P
Lol Again though - it would require hotels and is not convenient for a day trip :P
LOL Silly :P
I always take those thingies off as soon as I can and scrub off the iodine -- I hate it :gonk:

Emma Corrin: Haha.. yeah, it's password protected. I double checked that it was the first time I snuck it from my parent's room to use. : D
But I doubt my mom will care about having the pictures and video anytime soon, though my dad will. >: D
I know, right? I never knew it felt so good to donate blood.. makes make impatient for the 56 day limit, before I can donate again, so I can donate again! >w< Though the next time it's at the Markham civic centre will be October 25th, so looks like I'll be waiting a bit more than 56 days.. /sadface
Well.. the five hour part was actually just how long I was out of the house from the time I left in the morning. XD; I was in the Markham civic centre for about half the time... cause after the 500mL flowed out, I spent some time at the recuperating/refreshments table chatting (and making a new friend) with a fellow donator about what else but hockey! <3
The walk part before wasn't bad, not much to see... though while I was on Main Street Unionville I popped into The Old Firehall Confectionary just to take in the aroma of the sweets that were there. :drool:
Then before I headed to donate blood, I dropped off my mail-in donation. : D Can't wait for my Mennies now! <3
Do you ever get old, perfect condition cans back to reuse for new gift cans?
Aw, c'mon. /sadface
Then perhaps make it a long weekend trip in the future?
Really? I don't mind it, well other than the lack of quick movement.. but other than that, it's not too bad. : ) Maybe I'm just a little weird.. >_>;;
crunky: Aw, that sucks. : ( Too bad you can't truly sleep through blood donations, otherwise you could do just that. Though if it weren't for the can't-stand-the-sight-of-blood-thing, would you donate blood?
Yeah, I love it here in Markham. <3 So much old stuff. <3
Which is why I also love visiting historic and trademark landmarks whenever I travel. <3 So much interesting information... I think I figured out what history classes from high school were missing: trips to the actual locations! I totally learn way better when I'm at the actual location of said event/history/etc.

Haha Well, at least it gives you a reason to get it back :3
Haha Sounds like an eventful day!
o.O; No?
Why would someone pay for a gift basket, only to return it after they were done with it?
And why would someone buy a gift basket that's already been used?
Ew.
People keep these gifts for years... We have customers from when we first opened that have their purchases displayed in their homes. We would -never- require or ask for their purchases back so we can reuse them. That's just inconsiderate, disgusting, and just plain wrong on many levels of business and sanitation. It's like Lays asking you to give back the bag from the chips you ate to Walmart (where you bought them from) so they can collect them and refill them with more chips and sell them to someone else. Would you buy a bag of chips like that? I sure wouldn't. I'd be absolutely disgusted and appalled at something like that.
Haha We don't have time for that - it's not like we can close our business or leave school etc. Plus, it would be hell trying to get back through customs lol
Oh -- it doesn't effect my movements at all lol
I just hate the iodine covering my arm XD;

crunky: What blood type are you?
Lol. I'm the opposite, I'd rather get blood work done than give a urine sample, cause I'd be like, "It's not like I can force myself to urinate at certain times or something.." >_>; Besides I'm a very good blood work patient, though perhaps a bit chatty... but nothing screechy or whiny or annoying.
I know! The field trips I miss the most are the ones back when I was in grade 7 and 8 and my music teacher would often take a bunch of grade 7s and 8s to operas downtown! <3 Those were so much fun and I just loved watching/listening to the opera and the singers in it! <3
----------
Emma Corrin: True, true. And in the meantime, I'll just use my brother's computer.
Yeah, was pretty fun. How was your day? What'd you do?
What if some people choose to donate them back? Then it's not like it was used for paint, just clean and sanitize yourself then reuse. But I guess most people would want to keep it.. *shrugs*
I don't eat Lays chips anymore? XD I've gotten quite picky with chips, most brands I don't eat... XP
...so true. XD Canada and US customs are probably the worst in the world. So slow! Especially the non-airport ones. D: They need to learn to be like Hong Kong customs, simple and super fast!

It was alright - I've spent it doing college work and business work lol
.........
It's not about the brand, and you know that. It's about the principle of it and the actions of it.
And even if people donated them back, they have been used, God knows what's been done to them or where they have been, and it's still a used gift can.
I honestly don't think you quite understand the concept of that or what our company does/represents.
Still, this is getting to be a pointless discussion over the company. The cans are factory bought, un-used, and not recycled. It's how it's always been, and it's how it's always going to be.
I've never been through airport customs so I can't tell you if it's faster or slower lol
I never said you did? o.O;
I said that I don't like iodine covering my arm, which is why I always take off the bandage wrap as soon as possible and scrub my arm. Here, they put the iodine all over the inside of your elbow and the gauze/tape does not cover it, so it gets on your clothes etc if you don't scrub it off. I was merely saying that I don't take it off because it effects my movements, but because I hate the iodine being on my skin and possibly ruining my clothing :lol:

That could help alot o.o there is loads of question and stuff I need to reply to as well as there I am on a goal to make this account get back to normal currency rate before Inso fix it, So I am gonna post with this, here we go
Do you have Access to MAC/DAC whatever they call it?? and how long you been on break from mene for?? and from when??
My life is pretty boring, it need loads of excitement as I have moved away from my home town up north where all my friends are into a place where I dont get along with many (I live in UK, England btw) i want to live somewhere like country side with touch of modern technology but still want the peaceful nature surrounded area you know like forest, river and mountain ect.. I am sucker for nature lol :mrmayor:
Ooh superpowers, I always wanted those lol I gotta say tranformation, in other word just all superpowers lol like if I wanna fly I will turn into something that flys if I wanna be strong i will turn into something that stronger :p Invisible i will just turn into camoflag thingy :lol: its just one power correct?? :haha:
Sports I play would be Football/Soccer dont know what you call it >< (where you from again) lol I love it, its fun and well I grow up with it lol
Work, I just started my new work for a Calling Card/ Sim Card company about excatly 1 month and 2days today lol I get my own desk and all its pretty funky compare to my old job at an Internet shop but this is so boring, I liked my old job even its long hours and get stress level high.. it was fun and you get to do anything >< this is lame haha
I cant donate blood as for the same reason as crunky as well as I am vampire ;) but seriously I get dizzy from the smell of operation thingy, so wanting to be doctor is out of question for me lol even tho I changed my mind and wanted to be software designer now or game designer which aint going well xD
=o you walked around 5hours and donated blood o.O;; what was it like?? i hate needles, its just eek lol I hate anything that touches my body.. am too sensetive :angel: do you donate blood all the time or was it your first???
Wow thats soo much writing I ever did on mene o.o Dont think I even wrote this much for an RP xD wohoo new record for longest typing in My Mene History :mrmayor:

crunky: Nice, same here. And I'm really, really healthy on a daily basis.. such as how the last time I got sick was a major cold/fever for 4-5 days and before that... ten years ago. Which is why I got so upset at being sick in December because it ruined my healthy streak. D:
Oh, that sounds like yummy fun! Or at least the pretzels part. I love pretzels, not so much with chips unless if they're a certain kind. XD Did you get any pretzels, and if yes, can I have some? XD;
Alright, have fun. What kind of books are you returning? Were they good reads?
Emma Corrin: Fun. Nothing too difficult at least?
Yeah, perhaps we should drop it. I'm getting a little confused and feel like we're going in circles. @_@;
Really? Wow, I've been through them quite a lot... and Canada/US airport customs is probably the worst, though Canada's been improving their customs people. I don't know about the US ones cause I haven't really flown to or through the US as of late.
Hmm.. I see. Though I don't think I'd need to worry about them using iodine in a blood donor clinic, I think they usually use it to clean the wound.. and since it was, a) just a needle prick, albeit a slightly larger than normal one, b) in a clinic, therefore cleaner than normal standards, there's no need. : )
Where were you and what had happened that you needed iodine on your arm?
Popcorn Gun: Um.. a week at most, unless if I manage to sell something else from my sell list. Or perhaps I can interest you in a September 2011 CI set as I just mailed in a donation to Menewsha yesterday and therefore Juru should be able to receive and process it by I'm guessing around... a weeks time?
Ace Strife: Cexa: Lol, nice, good luck with that. What happened to your mule's account to land its gold count in the major negatives? D:
Nah, I don't have access to the dream avatar creator on here as it was released after the previous time I donated, therefore my previous donations didn't give me access. And besides, I donate via mail-in donations so I don't know if it would even count.. XP
I was gone for about six to seven months, not too bad... but with the recent inflation of the value of gold on here, it makes it worse. Especially with the missed CIs. D:
That actually sounds really nice, I've kind of already been imagining my dream home and although my idea is very expensive, I love it. Though I'm too lazy to describe it out in detail, I'll say that it's a Snow White and Seven Dwarfs style cottage, but larger, grander, and prettier. And it has a man-made waterfall in the yard that leads into a pond and the most magnificent gardens. <3 And much more that I'm too lazy to go into further detail. XP;
My dream home would be a place where nature's at its best! <3
Oh, nice choice, very handy indeed. I wonder what power I'd want... I could never decide, especially since there's so much I want to be able to do, but can't figure out what's best for me...
I'm from Canada, but unlike most other people on this of the world, I don't call it soccer, I prefer calling it football.
Ahaha.. why am I not surprised you'd put football when I saw you were from the UK? XD Most Europeans are pretty obsessed with football.
Like when I was in London, England for a family vacation this past May 2011; on the day of the UEFA championship league game... I went to see Wicked at the Apollo Victoria theatre and then afterward when I used the underground to return to my Aunt and Uncle's home my and my parents were staying at, it was freaking crowded! And all because Wembley Park station was along the way... >_>
But speaking of the game that night, I'm so happy Barcelona one! <3 I love Spain, I went there and Morocco almost five years ago and just loved every minute of it! <3
Ahaha.. somehow find a way to make your new job as exciting as your old one?
Ah, that sucks. D: What blood type are you? *is still trying to meet a positive and negative AB type* >_>;
Have you gone to school to be a game or software designer? Or are you planning on just teaching yourself by immersing yourself in software/gaming programs?
Well.. walked for about two and a half to three hours, the rest was spent in the Markham civic centre doing the donating bit and chatting afterwards with a fellow donator about hockey. <3
It was my first time to donate blood, but I'd definitely do it again and again once the Canadian Blood Services allows me to. <3
Ahaha.. nice! Watch you make an even longer one with your next post in here. : P

Arikana: -
I have made huge changes to the way I ate in the last six months actually so it wasn't always this way. I had a lot of misconceptions about food. I didn't realize that most low-fat foods (not all but a lot of the processed crap) while may be low in fat is usually high in sugar to make up for it in taste. :gonk: One time I was trying to lose weight and was eating a ton of yogurt not realized that the fat free kind I was eating was actually 20 grams of sugar a cup! :omg: I don't really like yogurt anyway so it was a double whammy! xD I know that you can get regular Greek yogurt (original flavor) and it is not too bad in sugar and very high in protein but I don't like it at all so that didn't work. lol
Anyways, in the last six months I have pretty much cut all the sugar out of my diet accept for a few exceptions here and there or I will use palm sugar if I have to since it affects me (and other people from what I hear) much better than regular sugar due to the glycimic index and less processing. I am very conscious of what I eat now, but I don't make a big deal out of it. I just don't buy the stuff I don't want in the house and it's not an issue. I don't even like most of the things I used to like anyways! I had a cheese puff the other day just out of curiosity and it tasted stale and artificial to me. lol It's amazing how your taste buds change according to your diet and you can taste more natural flavors when you aren't bogging down your taste buds with artificial junk. I haven't been sick in the last six months either which is HIGHLY unusual for me so I think the proof is in the pudding right there that it is effective for me. I don't remember saying anything about pretzels though..hmmm...maybe someone else said that? I do make vegetable chips though? I don't eat regular potato chips or pretzels anymore because I tend to eat my carbs in vegetables now. I just get picky now and don't eat things just because they are there. It's kind of funny but it's much better for me. Like if someone gave me a donut right now, I would through it away. xD It just doesn't hold any appeal to me anymore. lol
So I can't offer you any pretzels but you can have some of my baked cheese crackers! (made of just baked shredded cheddar cheese, nothing else P= )

crunky: Yeah, it's all about looking at the labels on foods... which is always a must when shopping for food. That's why grocery shopping should take a long time, not because of the browsing, but because of the constant looking and analyzing of labels. :yes:
My taste buds are awesome, not only are they sensitive, but they love everything but a couple things. One of those things being icky olives! D:
You said you went to a pretzel and chip factory? >_>; Also: If you don't remember, just scroll up and read. ; )
Sure! Mail 'em to me, please! <3

Arikana: - oh now I know what you mean, but that was a few years ago. xD I was thinking you meant I had some pretzels right now. lol
How much is postage to Canada for food stuffs? xD
I have never liked olives either so I can relate to that, but man, yesterday, I took a bite out of an apple and it was SO sweet! xD I never would have been able to notice that before. lol
(I don't eat much fruit other than peaches and strawberries or blueberries or raspberries because a lot of them have a lot of sugar whereas the once I just mentioned have less sugar and more fiber to help slow down the effects of the sugar ) Even though it's natural sugar, it still has a tendency to kick up my appetite and then I eat more than I should. xD
Oh yea, I totally don't buy ANYTHING until I read the label anymore. I started buying the new ketchup that doesn't have the High Fructose Corn Syrup.

crunky: D: Can you go back and get some then mail them to me? XD;
Uhh.. I don't know? Ask your local post office and I'm sure they'd know. But small parcels/boxes or those bubble envelopes don't cost much, it's the stamps that are unknown to me.
Lol. Your taste buds are changing to accommodate your new likes and dislikes! How good to hear!
Yeah, but you do need some sugar for your body to operate and what better than pure, natural sugar from fruits and vegetables to eat?
Though for me, I need more meat right now and the rarer the better as I just donated blood yesterday so I need to work on replenishing what I donated so that I continue to stay healthy. So it's meat eating time so I can get the iron in them.
RAWR!! *turns into carnivore*

Arikana: - But its an hour away! xD
Yeah it took awhile for them to change but when they did it was like night and day! lol
You do need some sugar and I do eat some fruit and lots of vegetables (which also have some sugar or complex carbohydrates which convert to sugar) I just stay away from the really high sugar ones for the most part except for that little taste yesterday. I used to have really high highs and low lows (although I was not diabetic, got checked for that) and realized after I changed my eating habits that I was getting most of my food in the form of carbs so it was no wonder I was always hungry all the time. xD My poor body was overwhelmed. I now have a much better balance and cut out the processed sugar which doesn't do me any good. xD
If you can't get your hands on red meat, sardines, spinach, broccoli, kidney beans and cashews are also high in Iron!

crunky: But I want some of these pretzels! D:
Odd, my taste buds aren't like that. They just decide if they like anything in an instant, though there's different preferences for different moods. Like I can like one thing one moment, but can switch moods instantly and find myself craving/liking something else.
My moods jump around a lot.. @_@;
Yeah, definitely.. just need to watch one's intake that's all. Anyone can be healthy, just a bit of hard work and it can seem easier than it looks.
I know, I know.. but meat is so yummy. <3 Though so is spinach and broccoli.. I'm torn! D:
