(talking fur baby that bade me lol)
Zarra wasn't good with names. She didn't even know the gender of this kitten. But she watched as the kitten ate, snacking on what was brought for her. She listened to mhe music, letting it wash over her. It's not the music she usually listens to, but it's music just the same.

Riku noticed that many of the guests were already dancing with another. So instead of being rue and cutting in with someone, he decided to wait by the wine table and have himself a glass.

(You've never heard me refer to my cats as talking fur babies XD)

Leland figured she was having trouble naming the kitten, "It's a girl, I forgot to mention that...we could name it Isis."

He poked the kitten while it ate, it growled making Leland chuckle. Seeing the little kitten growl at the likes of being poked while it ate, always seemed to amuse Leland. It kind of made him miss his animals at home. He had paid someone dearly to watch after them, while he was gone, and he wondered how they were doing.

Emerion heard the clinking of glass before he felt a person, who he thought must have been the server, bump into him. He twisted out of the way, but was unfortunately too slow - the wine splashed across his pant legs and down one of his sleeves as it fell. Emerion only stopped where he was, sighing, before he was addressed by a woman and man who were apologizing. He was going to help them clean the glass, but after seeing the floor only covered by wine, he looked up in time to see the glass recollecting itself. Hmm.

"Please, do not apologize. I believe, or would like to believe, it was an honest mistake. And besides, we have all brought clothes and other things such, yes? I suppose I will be changing earlier than I thought." He chuckled slightly.

"I like Iris." Zarra looked rather bored sitting at the table and started kicking the right foot that she has crossed over her left leg, "I would really like to dance again Leo.."

Alice froze on the spot as she looked at the victim of the wine spillage. The liquid had stained his pants and part of his coat on the way to the floor. The wine's crimson colour reminded the vampire of blood. It was only then that she realized how truly unprepared she had attended the event. Her mind mulled over for a second, trying to figure out who or what she was going to feed off for three weeks when suddenly something strange caught her eye. Unless she was beginning to hallucinate, she was pretty sure she saw the broken glass lift itself from the floor and back onto the tray, all in one piece, almost like magic.

Alice's breathe caught in her throat at the thought. She was pretty certain that it was magic that had erased her memory and forced her to fast for 10 years. Whoever had fixed the glass could possibly be the person she was looking for. Her eyes glanced at Nikholas, then at the server until finally back on the stranger with the wine-stained outfit. She was sure the server couldn't have done it, so if there was anyone's mask she needed to remove, it was one of these two men. Yes, these two were the ones she would start with. But first she had to find the faerie king.

Adrenaline rushed through Alice at the thought of being soo close to finding out all the answers. As soon as the stranger finished speaking, she spoke up.
“It was an honest mistake,” The vampire blurted out, “I'm not too careful on my feet. But I apologize again for ruining your outfit. I can imagine how uncomfortable you must feel. Perhaps you should change now?”
Alice turned to Nikholas, too caught up in the heat of the moment to think before speaking.
“Nikholas,” She started again, before anyone could get a word in, “I don't suppose you know where the faerie king is at the moment. Can you take me to him? The king may be able to help us find our rooms.”
She then looked back at the golden masked stranger, “Once we help you find your room, you will be able to change. I feel like it's the least I can do for.. That's if, you don't already know where your room is..”
She trailed off, realizing that even though she was clueless at this event, it didn't mean that everyone else was. As soon as she'd finished, and also realized how much she had said, she withdrew back into her shell and fiddled with her dress's fabric. In a softer tone she spoke to Nikholas again; “Even if this gentleman doesn't require the king's help. Can you help me find him? I need to ask him something.”

Hearing glass breaking Gun looked around wondering if maybe some guests weren’t getting along. It was hard to see things because of all of the people, but from the looks of things it had just been an accident. Two guests probably bumped into each other or something like that was his guess. He took another sip of the wine he had in his hand. He nodded slightly at her comment about the dessert wines.

He smiled brightly at Viktoria. “Ah, well then shall we?” He took a step back and bowed, holding his hand out for her to take. Looking up slightly from his bow he apologized ahead of time, “I’m not the best of dancers, so sorry if I accidently step your feet or something.” The bright smile that he had before had changed to a more sheepish one.

Ayumu stopped at a wine table where a man [Riku] was standing. She sipped lightly on her wine, musing for a moment on whether to say something to him. Standing across the table from the man, in a velvety voice she said, “The music is lovely isn’t it?”

Emerion's head snapped towards the woman who had suddenly blurted out, listening with a careful ear. From what he heard, she was eager to find the faerie king, and from how she kept suggesting him to change his outfit, he felt as if he were being... used to find him for something. It sounded desperate to his ears, as if she was willing to rip off everyone's masks to find him... What she needed the king for, he had no idea, but he thought it best to stay out of her way until she found him.

"I would appreciate the help, yes. I've only arrived here shortly before, so you could say that I'm extremely clueless as to what's going on," he said, truthfully. It was his first time coming to one of these things, and he was only going off of what the others had told him. "I would like to know what's going on here, if that's not too much to ask. First time, you know, and I don't want to be completely clueless."

Leland watched the kitten, it had stopped eating so he figure it was full and placed it gently back into his coat pocket.

"Alright, Zarra, I do apologize, I wanted to make sure the little one was fed. Now shall we get back to dancing,"He grinned softly as he got up and held out his hand to Zarra once more.

Zarra smiled and took Leo's outstretched hand and let him lead her to the ball room floor again. She also let him place her hands where they should be. He knows different dances than she does.

Riku noticed a beautiful woman in a white mask. (Lyssa) But as he was on the way to talk to her, he got distracted again by glasses of white whine and helped himself to a glass, silently hoping that someone would notice him. He doesn't know any of these beings and he really didn't want to make a fool of himself during his first and only appearance at one of these things.

Seeing as the man in the black mask (Riku) ignored her, Ayumu turned her attention back to watching others dance. She had never really been one for mingling with others anyway. Silently she finished her wine, setting the empty glass on the table. Trying to be nice was starting to be a hassle or so she was starting to think. How dare a man ignore me. If he ignores me again I’ll make him pay. A grin spread across her lips at the thought. In most cases men were her toys and enemies to do with what she pleased, but that was on the mountain where she lived. A place like this was new territory for her though things should work the same shouldn’t they, she thought.

Nikholas grinned at the man apologetically before turning to look at Alice, eyes widening slightly at her request. Why, that would break the rules, would it not? The rules simply could not be broken. He supposed it wasn't an altogether horrible question, but he had planned ahead for whom would educate his guests and would not be talked into revealing himself. Once again, apology swept over his features as he gave another one of his gracious smiles, his left hand moving to ruffle the hair on the back of his head as he falsely admitted, "I am truly sorry, Alice, I am- but I doubt that even his own subjects could pick him out of the crowd with ease. He is the kind of man to never sell himself out at an event like this..." Then thinking, as if trying to remember the event from last year, "However, I do believe I know the answer to the room dilemma. The servants of the villa hold all information you could possibly wish for, simply ask one of them. And, if my memory serves me right... The rooms would be on the second floor." Then smiling, he offered his knowledge up, "I've attended for the past few years..." - try millennia - "so I know a bit as well, if I can offer you any help."

[Alrighty guys, sorry for the delay of important stuff! Maps of the three levels have now been posted on the front page, and I've been slowly editing the section with basic information about meal times and etc. Any other questions, please ask me and I shall answer. I'll be adding much more to the front page within the next few days, hopefully including pictures and descriptions of each room.]

Viktoria returned Gun's smile cheerily, her hands moving to the fabirc of her skirt as she curtsied slightly in response. "Yes, let's," she replied simply, eagerly, yet not overly so. He seemed to be a handsome, agreeable man, and she simply adored dancing, so she saw no reason not to accept his offer. After all, she had nothing better to be doing with her lord Nikholas out of sight and out of mind. Lifting her arm and extending it to place her right hand in his, she smiled warmly as he gave her his warning, "Don't you worry about it," she winked, "I'm sure my feet can handle it." It wasn't exactly funny, but she had wanted to be encouraging.

Riku really hated being shy. And he felt really bad for not noticing the girl in the beautifully decorated mask (Ayumu) who tried to talk to him.He wondered if she would accept an apology. He walked over to her, and trying to not sound like the nervous wreck he was, worked up the courage to speak. "Um. Hi." He was blushing, and he really hoped that she couldn't tell. "Would you...like to dance? You are absolutely beautiful."
(I do apologize for not seeing what you said earlier, rose.)

"You've got beautifully toned hair."
Quirking a brow Ajon couldn't help but chuckle mirthlessly. "That's an interesting comment." The tall male looked over his dance partner once again before pulling her in for another attempt at following the waltz that everyone else was doing. This time they caught on rather swiftly. "I'm glad you aren't stepping on me as well." After a final spin that caught the girl against him, Ajon stepped back and released Lyssa just as quickly as he'd taken her to dance. Apparently he was finished already.

-

"Sorry. Sorry. Just got a little bit dizzy there."
Vincent almost reached for Aria's arm as she swayed, but allowed her to lean against the stone banister instead. The elemental's cold features showed a flicker of worry before he realized that the girl was only giggling and resting. Casting a glance back to the indoor areas he kept his place where he was standing. Aria's question chased away his worry.

"I never wanted to dance before, no." His crimson mask only added to the emotionless look on his features. "I don't enjoy meeting other people." Not usually. This may be the first exception in many centuries, really. Aria was sweet - he seemed to like her.

There was a long pause in which he took in her parted lips, the memory of their dance and the soft tune drifting over them like a morning breeze. Vincent finally stepped toward the stone balcony a few feet away from Aria and let his cold fingers press against the carved work. "Thank you for your time, Aria." Something had told him to thank her.

((Yaaaaaaaay you're back!!!:squee: Have a good weekend?))

The soft smile that had started to bloom when she noticed him reaching towards her faltered a little. Vincent seemed so cold, almost literally frozen, especially emotionally. She wasn't sure if she should be upset for him or not, no one should be without emotions in her opinion. Shaking her head lightly to clear away the pessimistic thoughts, clear them away and try to plan her next words carefully as she didn't want to say the wrong thing. Blinking she chuckled to herself, really who was she kidding when she worried over saying the wrong thing to a male that spoke rather bluntly, almost to the point of being politically rude?

"What about now? Do you regret what just happened?" She asked, her gaze having been out to the gardens, only to revert back on him as he moved. Away from her. She frowned, as if him stepping away from her actually bothered her, and she found it did. Even with him being, well, frosty, in both personality and physical touch, she still liked having him close. Exhaling softly at the words, she let her eyes slip closed. He may not have noticed it, but while he was thanking her, it also sounded very much like a dismissal and he was asking her to leave. Unsure if she should or not, she picked up her glass again, sipping some the remaining liquid before turning back to the garden. "You're welcome"

When he pulled her back in it made her blush a bright red. Lyssa was rather baffled for a few moments after her released her, "What's wrong? Did I do something to offend you?"

She stood there feeling rather stupid--once again out of place and a bit ashamed for bothering Ajon in the first place because clearly he didn't want to be bother. The moment between was very awkward to say the least.

Leland couldn't help but smile back at her as he walked her back out to the dance floor, he placed her hands back where they where on the last time--he did the same with his, at that they started to Waltz again.

"You seem rather cheery," Leland grinned, "I must say you positively glowing."

Alice breathed in relief, smiling and nodding at the stranger as he confessed to being new to this event. She didn't feel soo alone, being clueless to something that has been going from centuries before she was even born. Her relief was short lived as Nikholas replied. It sounded impossible to find the faerie king. The only thing that she could think of was finding the kings room and barging in uninvited, but that plan didn't sound too appealing.
“That's a pity,” Alice murmured in response to Nikholas next.
Alice tugged at her clothing, wondering what her next move was, what she was supposed to do next. But she could feel herself growing hungry, too hungry to concentrate on anything else.
“Nikholas, you don't happen to know when we dine, do you? I'm famished,” She asked, her soft tone returning. She regained her innocent disposition, hoping to gain trust before looking suspicious soo early in the event.
“What about you? Are you hungry Mr.. Uhhm, what may we call you?” She asked the stranger curiously.

"Well it's nice to know that the people raised outside the fair skinned race are untainted by the evil that normally comes with it. I am glad that I was able to accompany you and help make it turn out better than you thought it would. I must say that it is also rather fun, too," Leland continued Waltzing with Zarra on the dance floor in his delicate some what cautious manner.

Emerion smiled at Nikholas when he explained what he knew about the room dilemma. "At least one of us has some knowledge about these things," he said softly before beginning to think. If he changed his clothes now, he would have the advantage of knowing where to go later, though he would miss out on whatever would be taking place here. He decided to chance it - after all, he couldn't go around all night in wine-soaked clothing! It was only then when Alice decided to speak up and ask his name.

"I apologize for not introducing myself sooner. You may call me Emery, or anything else you can make out of that," he said, deciding to be somewhat honest instead of creating an alias. He feared that giving his whole name would alert them to his race, and even alert them to his place if they kept up with Elven affairs. "I suppose you could say that I am hungry, though I would prefer to wait until after I have changed my clothing." As he said the words, he wasn't exactly sure of how honest he was being. He supposed it didn't matter if he ate dinner with a few splashes of wine on his clothing - he could surely survive that. It was only the dancing he was worried about. Because who would want to dance with someone who looks so... sloppy? he thought.

((It’s ok MCRAngel, that happening actually gave me a chance to show my character’s cold nature. Or at least give a glimpse of how her mind works, lol.))

At first Auyumu ignored the man when he finally approached her. She couldn’t do so for too long after he spoke. Even with his mask he looked rather cute blushing the way he was. A slight smile crossed her lips as she looked over at the man. “Thank you sir. I wouldn’t mind dancing, but the truth is I don’t know how. This is actually my first time attending an event such as this,” her voice what soft and velvety like it had been before. Since he did come and talk to her she would play nice and give this man a second chance. “Umm…would you mind teaching me?” As she asked this question she found herself blushing and her right hand fidgeting with her dress. Why am I acting so nervous?

"I was raised by a fair skinned race. Its rather different. I'm actually trying to change the ways of our race. I don't really see how that will eventually work. My successors will have to stick with my methods. Meaning I most likely will need children To have this successful." Zarra sighed and leaned her head on his shoulders as the music once again slowed to a slower piece.

Seeing that this girl had talked to him, he wasn't so shy anymore. he offered her an outstretched hand, "Don't worry about not knowing how to dance. I will lead." one of his cat-like ears twitched and he swished his furry tail so it wouldn't get trampled on when they moved to the dance floor.

Nikholas looked Alice over carefully before dismissing his suspicion. He hadn't suspected her of anything as of yet, but her change in attitude made him feel perhaps a bit on edge. Why did she seem to ask so many questions about him, the elusive faerie king? He was not hard to find at all, contrary to how he had worded his answer, when in fact Nikholas knew he was bound to speak with every guest here within the matter of three weeks. He was a socialite, and one of the few to stay up and about until the early hours of the morning. It was he who watched over his guests, he who arranged each meal carefully, he who made sure all room assignments were appropriate and precise- he was everywhere, whether or not someone who was looking for him knew if they had found him or not was simply the problem. In Alice's case, she simply didn't know much about him nor his little persona of a man who'd attended for a few years' time.

"Hmm," he began in thought after Alice's question, "Well, there should be a meal soon, I'd assume. There will be a short announcement form the wait staff when they have set up..." It was then that he turned to Emery, also apologetic for not introducing himself, "It's a pleasure to meet you," he bowed his head, "My name is Nikholas, and I do hope you will join us in the dining room after changing your clothing?"

[Alright Drows, the both of you- I've already let the race thing go once when it was a suspicion, but you're violating thread rules now. ((My weekend was wonderful! I'm afraid the weekend absences will reoccur every weekend for a few weeks . . . but I'll be on as much as I can. Work and life have caught up with me suddenly. -_-'))

There was a long silence in which the air about the couple dropped in temperature. I've upset her. Usually the thought wasn't something that would stir Vincent's thoughts, but just the very suspicion of bothering Aria made the elemental cringe inwardly. The male's red eyes lowered to the stone beneath his hands as a transparent web of frost rimmed his fingers. I was careless, perhaps?
For a moment his gaze held the stonework with a bit of confusion showing through the glowing orbs. When he heard Aria's question of regretting his actions and their dance Vincent looked up to meet her gaze steadily. "No." He may not have seen her hurt expression but the elemental had certainly caught her slight exhale of disappointment. Aria's form changed temperature ever so slightly - a key sign that she was bothered.
When the pale girl turned back to the garden view with her drink in hand Vincent frowned a bit. Reaching out he touched a few strands of her hair lightly. "If I have offended you, know that I didn't mean to do so." His glowing gaze flickered out to the garden as he reigned in his frosty touches . . . though the air immediately around them remained as chilly as an Autumn morning.

She was such a pretty thing - delicate and sweet - and Vincent was frustrated with himself for bothering her so.

-

"You have done nothing to offend me," Ajon said, brushing his fingers over his collarbone again. Annoyance. The nomadic creature shook his head and extended a hand. Instead of waiting for the girl to take it, he took her arm and led her toward the drinks. "I would prefer it if we did something else." The dancing was . . . too personal to his own kin. Ajon's blue eyes flit over a few newcomers, lingering for a while on Emerion and his gathered acquaintances. Something in the other's demeanor seemed to catch Ajon's attention swiftly. He moved too lightly to be human, though he could be just about anything else. Eyes narrowed, Ajon focused on Lyssa once more.

"Aren't you thirsty?" Slowly releasing the dark-haired woman's arm, the elf turned to the drink table and snagged a glass of wine for himself. He wasn't familiar with every drink there, but they were mostly commonly known refreshments. The random ones were few and far between - and meant for the odd races that dwelled in stranger places than the nomad had ever seen. Drawing his thoughts from the glasses' strange contents Ajon tossed silver hair from his face.
His fingers moved up to touch the place just below his eye (which brushed the bloody looking mark on his mask) and he sighed quietly. "I should apologize for my brusque behavior. Dancing is very . . . special where I come from. I don't mean to offend you, Lyssa. Please, what would you like to drink? I will serve you."
