In reality, most animals claimed to be colorblind just see color differently from us. Dogs can differentiate red and blue easily, but have a little trouble seeing the difference between green and orange. I've tested that one myself. It wasn't easy, since the dogs I've been able to test it on have been...a little slow, but it was still doable.

My girlfriend says that sometimes she can "hear" the planet screaming - which...is kinda amusing/scary, considering the theme naming thing going on with our boyfriend and me. I believe her.

I like to think that everything has a soul - how it experiences life just depends on the vessel.

I use a lot of those shells. I have some green mussel shells saved from dinner last night actually - not sure what I'm going to do with them, but they're beautiful. Really brilliant mother-of-pearl. If nothing else, those shells can be made into beads, but I imagine I'll polish them and make them part of a lamp. I also make bone beads and pendants and other such carvings any time my family eats meat and has bones to throw away.

But yes, the feathers are easy to figure out.

That's true, but that means partial not complete, and I'm not sure what colors cats are supposed to be unable to see.

My partner and I both have heard that. I think it really is dependent on how connected you are to the world. I think my partner might hear it on a regular basis... because she will sometimes get worried about something randomly.

I don't think everything has a soul, but I do think everything is alive to an extent. The earth is constantly fighting us like we are some kind of infection fighting a losing battle...

That sounds interesting. What kind of shells? I've never been able to find what a shell could be good for o.o

Inside (with mussel)
Outside

These are the shells we have just waiting for a project. And there are TONS of things shells are good for. I'm currently in a beachside tourist town, so we've go lots of places around here that sell all kinds of souvenirs made out of shells. I'll take some photos and post them next chance I get.

Wolfie collects shells and feathers, decorates with them and so on.Wolfie never believed animals were totally colorblind, either.Or stupid.Wolfie remembers noticing that her dog had favorite songs (stuff by Boston and other 70's and 80's bands) And songs he hated (Hanna Montana and Lady Gaga lol)
Wolfie believes that animals know far more than humans give them credit for. They are far more in tune with the world than we are, which is why they know when natural disasters are coming,or are able to save their humans who have heart attacks and such. There was a story on T.V. with video footage from a police car-basically,this guy who lived with his mother and dog was working in his shed/workshop when a fire started. The guy was trapped, and he yelled for the dog to get help. The dog ran several miles (they were located at the end of a long dirt road in the forest) and came across a police car that was responding to the call but couldn't find the house. The footage showed this dog, running towards the dirst road and back, clearly telling toe officer to follow it.So he did,and called in help, and the dog led him back to the house and to the shed, and the guy inside was saved and so was his mother. The dog saved them.Bullshit animals aren't smart.Haven't they seen dolphins save people from sharks?

Once,Wolfie was hanging out with some kids by a river. One of the kids was collecting mussel shells, and he got a really big one, fully intact, and gave it to Wolfie.Wolfie took it home and put it on a shelf.Over the next few days she noticed that the shell would be moved a little or open a bit,but credited it to the fact that her baby sister liked to play with her stuff.A few days later,Wolfie noticed an odd scent in her room.Looking around, she found that the smell was coming from the shell. It was then that she realized it wasn't just a shell, the mussel had been alive inside, and died while sitting on the shelf.Wolfie was horrified. She took the now dead mussel and brought it back to the river, where she placed it in the water and prayed for it to forgive her.She told the boy later that it had been alive, and it turns out he knew but didn't tell her.Wolfie almost killed him right then and there. She still cries about it.If she had only realized it a day or two earlier, she could have saved it...
