I don't think anyone helped you prepare when applying to OCAD. They don't steer away from commercial arts (I know, because I major in 2D Graphic Design at OCAD), but they need to know you can do more than that. I had "glamour" photos like yours in my portfolio, but I also had paintings, medical illustrations, print designs (all still in the design & commercial genre). Again, a bunch of photos, no matter how good they are, won't cut it alone.

Heck, I don't even know if i'm really helping here :P But don't bash OCAD from this one experience. Its a really good University. The best school for you depends on the program. OCAD being a major art school runs alot differently than the major universities in the GTA.

I used to be the resident expert on the series on another forum that was my online home for about four years, up until it closed last December or so.

Personally, I loved the background characters, but hated the children. Kaji, Misato, and Gendou were all beautifully developed, and made the series worth watching in and of themselves.

On the other hand, Shinji does nothing but whine until coerced into action, Auska is a bitch through and through, and Ayanami is about as interesting as an LCD monitor with nothing but dead pixels.

Regarding the endings, the TV ending started out dull (*question* *scream* *question* *SCREAM* *question* *SCREAM*), then became mildly interesting (when it introduced the alternate universe), then just became downright cheesy with the final scene. It epitomizes the term "anticlimatic", in my mind. The movie at least attempts to tie up the loose ends (which it does rather well, even if it creates some more questions in the end).

It was like any other day for him; being given a specific order and expected to carry it out with little to no flaw. He was not like most of the other local bounty hunters -- Mao was not self-employed. He worked for a large company, one that was suspected of being linked with the mafia. Not like he cared, however. It was required that he make a living somehow or another. Being a bounty hunter came with a nice pay, and it was always interesting to be sent to one place or another in order to catch whichever wanted criminal it may be.
Currently, he was working. . . though it did not seem so. He sat outside of a fairly large building, one leg crossed over the other as he watched the scene unfold -- here a boy fled, followed by a handful of angry cops. With one glance he knew that this was the criminal he was currently after, but. . . he had better ideas. He picked up the nearest object, which happened to be a combat boot he had removed only seconds beforehand, before he flung it at Jiji with little ease. After having done so, he got to his feet, walking a bit lopsidedly in his direction.
