Well I don't know.

I've never had a relationship before, but it doesn't sound right to me that you should propose so early in the relationship. Because if you do that, you two never work through the problems and when they eventually come up, all hell will break loose. Its much easier to go steady for a while and be sure, and then get down on one knee without a single doubt to worry about.

Propose while her eyes are blury from all the hearts of Valentines Day! Lol Just Kidding!

I believe Love at First Sight is rare but real so go for it. Pour your heart out and hope she returns the same kind of devotion! WHOOHOO Go Mr. Mayor

More people seem to think I should ask her than shouldn't.

It's a relief to know that people support my decision, my Great Grandmother's heirloom ring is being cleaned at the moment, so if Vicktoria eccepts me, it will sparkle just as much as her beautiful eyes.

I actually think that love at first sight is bullshit. o-o No offense, but the only thing that's possible is lust at first sight. To fall in love with someone within the first few seconds you meet him or her? What besides looks do you ahve to judge on?

And Mistah Mayor, if you want to go for it, good luck. Just remember, I warneded you. And therefore, I want to be the flower girl. >O

Meh. Hate to be a wet blanket, but Dystopia is right. But at least you spent some quality time with her and found out more. As long as you're absolutly sure you want to be with her for the rest of your life.
Well, theres always..the D-word.
But let's not get too hasty.

I still stand by my opinion of,
"Hey if you love her that much, go for it!"

@Dystopia: I'd like to think love at first sight is possible, but you still have to work at the relationship. After all, even when you know someone for a long time and get married, you'll still find that your spouse wasn't exactly who you thought they were. I think the key is adapting and falling in love all over again. :3

(But I will never agree with the people who claim Romeo and Juliet were in love. =/ That was lust through and through, and they were both fools at that.)

@ Ferra - In my opinion, there is no such thing as love at first sight. Just lust. But that's what can attract two people to eachother, and if they move on to know eachother and truly love eachother, then its love.
That crap about falling in love in fairy tales is utter bullshit. Love after a freaking dance? After a kiss? Questing after princesses because everyone says they're cute? Ugh. Hell no.

@Dystopia: Hmm, maybe so. I've certainly felt a "spark" though with certain people and could tell right away I'd be able to keep a lasting relationship with them, even just for friendships and that kind of "love".

There are some people who can judge people's character almost instantly, and others who continue not to see it when it's shoved in front of their faces. ^^; I think the same is true with certain romantic relationships, but certainly not very often.

Is Lilim allergic to love? o_o -CPRs-

I didn't mean to sound discouraging before, just making sure there's thought and real emotion involved. :3 I am loves you truly, Mr. Mayor. ;_; Luckily, Vicky is a nice girl and what's the harm in asking? There can always be a looooong engagement to make sure its gonna work out alright.

@ Omi - Actually, the long engagement thing is a really good idea if Mayor really REALLY wants to propose on that day. Though, I dunno. Having it drag out sort of makes it lose the magic.

>.o And for God's sake, I hate referring to him as 'Mayor' but calling him 'Mr. Mayor' makes me feel all prissy and stupid.

I've been in lust before, there's no denying that. But what I feel for Vicktoria is very different. She is beautiful and I am very attracted to her, but I also deeply respect her. My feelings for her aren't fuelled by passion alone though, they go far deeper than that.

This is totally the sweetest thing ever!

Considering you've only been back together since January, I think you should wait a while. Marriage is a big deal. What if you just feel infatuated right now?

Try June or maybe Valentine's day of next year.

@ Mayor - First of all, for the sake of Yumeh, tell me your first name. O_o; No disrespect or nuffin, but I just hate being all fancy and it makes me feel like I'm talking to an object if I just call you Mayor.
For another thing, I wasn't accusing you of wanting to be with Vick just for her looks. I was simply expressing my opinion on 'love at first sight'. If you want to marry her, go for it. My only warning is that getting married too fast wont' give you enough time to work out the little things that usually come in late in the relationship and crap.

I don't think it's wise to propose just yet. If you feel for certain she's the one, great. Build on it. Hold on to that ring. But show her other ways before asking for her hand. I don't think you've spent nearly enough positive time together.

I'm gladyou've found your one. <3

@ Anthony - I agree. Though I'm not sure how showing her the ring would work out, even if it IS without proposing.

Dystopia..my name is a closely guarded secret I'm afraid..*tries to look mysterious*

WinglessFairy..yes, this isn't about rushing headlong into marriage, I am more than happy to have a long engagement. I just wish for Vicktoria to be my bethrothed. I feel it shows a deeper level of love and commitment to someone.

late is always better than never!
