I've been attacked by a cat and a wild snake before... got scars from both on my left hand

I believe the blue ring octopus is venous enough to kill a human, am I right?

Grabbing it for your salt tank might be a deadly mistake. The blue-ringed octopus is 5 to 8 inches, but its venom is powerful enough to kill humans and there is no blue-ringed octopus anti-venom available. They pounce on their prey, paralyze them with venom and use their beaks to tear off pieces. They then suck out the flesh from the body. Once bitten, the fast acting poison leads to loss of sight, taste and touch immediately. Without quick treatment, the paralysis will cause asphyxial death because of respiratory paralysis.

I think another website says what the blue ring can do better than me. Only one I ever saw was at the Aquarium, and it was in a jar guarded by an employee cause if a child touched it they would likely be dead very fast

Ah yes =D The cone snail I presume. Another venomous creature. I'm glad to see that there are others with a fascination for the deadly =)

Well if you shall ever encounter a blue ringed octopus or a corn snail you would have to be underwater, in which case it would probably be too late for you already cause it is quite certain that they can swim faster than you :P

That is true....I'm not sure how fast they may be underwater. But unlike the blue ringed octopus, it would blend in with it's surroundings better and you may not notice it at all.
