I've only used masking for photomanips. Same with the pen tool in Photoshop. It just seems like such a heavy-duty program for my style of art. :lol:

I only use the layers just because I'll pixel one part, then the next part but will hate it. So it's easier to just delete the layer I was just pixeling on instead of spending time erasing.

I guess it's because I'm not that good that I don't have that good sense so I spend alot of time redoing.

MS Paint is so much better for recoloring though.

The new paint is really awesome in comparison to the old paint.

MS paint is easy for recolors - just bucket tool it all XD

I might try experimenting with Photoshop, but for now, Sunny has tons and tons of commissions to finish. OTL And Sketchbook is easier to draw on in my opinion. XD

Pffft I just use the second eraser to recolor. xD Then I don't even have to think which pixel I'm trying to change.

@ Sweet; Oh. Well, that's alright. I was confused at first too but I googled on where certain tools are in it and youtube always has a recorded tutorial on everything. ^^ GIMP is really good at animation, if you ever want to animate your pixels.

Well set your first eraser to the color on your item. Set the second eraser to the color you want to change it to.

So if I have an item that is Red and Pink and I want to recolor it to Blue and Green.

Set the first eraser to Red and the second one to Blue. Then erase over it. Everything that was red will now become blue. :3

I think the eraser trick is when you eyedrop a color and then right click while coloring and it only replaces the eyedropped color.

Ahh, Seito beat me to it! And much more coherently as well. :XD

@Seito - not even paint!!! It was cheaper to get it without microsoft and my dad doesn't need it - he uses it just for fun...so they just went without it XD

Miro, I am impressed with the fact that you can pixel so well in so many programs.

And I can't pixel without layers. They make my life so much easier. >.>
