Actually that is supposed to happen in August.
That will put a lot of people out of work.
Regular carriers already work 5 days a week, so anyone who fills in for them won't be getting to work much if any.
I guess they will only work if a carrier is sick.

Her wardrobe... Pan loves her style... the dark gothic look but Pan feels she is not able to pull it off in this country... Its too hot for one thing and people would stare... since it is a little too different.

Most people mis-understand the Post Office & think it is part of the government. It hasn't been since the 1970's or 80's. The only money the post office makes is from stamp sells & they don't get government funding.

supposedly the post office is going bankrupt and cutting down to 5 days is supposed to help with that ... did I hear right that the stamp is going up to about $0.40??

yes, but if I were her I wouldn't be afraid of being stared at!

It does get hot here in the summer, but I wouldn't have to wear all of those layers and such all of the time, you know she doesn't!

it's kinda weird imaging her wandering around her house in a tank top and shorts!
