At first I don't, but I gradually start pressing down harder and harder with pencils. ;;

But it's different with the pen. I don't have to press very hard and it still scratches the paper the wrong way. Maybe it's the printer paper...getting actual drawing paper is more expensive and printer paper is free. ;;;

I have thee pads of drawing paper that are really nice. I got them for a buck each at the Dollar Tree. You could check out your cheap surplus sorts of stores. Since they could just get it randomly. Like how it happened for me. Clearance specials are also wonderful.

But printer paper isn't too great for drawing, Ant.

Try dollar stores, or the local equivalent. That's what I do. And I mean, like, they literally just charge a buck per thing.

Ooh. I think we have Daiso here for that, don't know any other dollar stores. I'll check and see if they sell paper next time I stop by one of them...

Exactly. Make sure it says drawing paper on it. Things like that. The texture of the paper will be rougher than the printer paper, but that's good.

Yeah, I might have some left at home too somewhere...I didn't like them because erasers don't work so well. Or maybe I just press down on the papers too damn hard all the time. ;

You press too hard! And try using a gum eraser or a higher grade for your pencil. It may stop you from pressing harder if the pencil is darker.

Gum eraser? Like the soft, shape-changing kind?

I usually draw with 3B pencils, is that still too hard? I tried 6B but they break too easily...

Yeah, those erasers normally work really well, without destroying the paper. You need to change them once they get too dark, but it isn't like it matters too much. You get a lot of usage from them.

Hurm, that should be fine. It's clear the problem isn't the darkness of the line, then. You may get too into it. Try playing relaxing music?

I usually don't listen to music when drawing with paper, I'll try that next time. P: I usually have to keep reminding myself to relax my grip every once in a while...

They are a comforting feel in the hand, that's for sure.

I draw okay, I mean, you can tell what it's suppose to be and all, but I'm not particularly good at it.

I really only draw as an aid to other stuff, not to make drawings just to make drawings...

I suppose if I did it more, I'd be better at it...

I like drawingn. There's something comforting about having a pencil in hand, and making art.

Lexa can draw, but doesn't draw much. Not that she's very good at it, though For as long as one enjoys drawing, they should!

Drawing is very fun, Lexibug. I write way more now, though. So there's that.

I used to draw a lot. But not these days I used to write too. But I don't do that anymore either, even though I do occasionally draw.
