It's not a very nice thing to do, that. It's making fun of someone else's language, and whoever first started the ching chong thing needs a swift kick in the behind.

What did I say, Anta?

I mean, you don't hear anyone else going, "*non-English language* Oh hey! You're English right? You speak things like *makes indiscernible noises that contains lots of r or l sounds*?" to people who look like they're from an English speaking country.

;_; the people here do that too. Just not too often. I'm from a strange country.

When I skype with my Japanese friends they often make weird singy songy words at me, and are meant to mimic the Swedish language. They like making fun of me being in Sweden >_<

I think almost every country mocks other languages - mostly for funny purposes though.

It is considered incredibly rude to mock languages where I am. But I dunno if that's unusual or not.

I live in a multilingual (?) country, so it's not that very unusual We mock our country's languages and different dialects too, even though that isn't considered very rude unless you go shouting behind seniors, or laughing at them, which is definitely very rude. Usually by those jerky guys who are good at nothing else and have all the time in the world.

And American/British English - anyone who tries to speak with these accents unless you're an American or an Englishman is labelled bigshots and showoffs for most of the time. Oh please, we were under the British for a long period of time. We're supposed to be speaking British English. What we speak is a strange and very very ugly mixture of Tamil and Sinhala and English all mixed together, often called "Tanglish", and we go making fun of the original English

Sometimes we laugh at people/each other's Taiwanese accents, but in a joking, self-deprecate way. Of course, I can't do that since my accent is weird and can't even speak Taiwanese. But mocking is definitely a no-no.

I can't laugh at them either, considering that I can't speak any language properly at all. I'm a mess! >_>

I've been okay, busy though.
my job is only part time but getting back
into the routine of working has been hard.

It's break for us too. Well, was ;_; School just started only for our grade! Not fair at all Should probably stop whining and start getting ready

@Clock: Yeah, I can't wait until I can eat pizza or fried chicken again.
I hate working routines. I'd like to keep a part time job instead of full time but I need the moneyz.
Oh well. I'll be leaving work and going back to school in like two months anyway.

@Lexa: Oh so it's like an early class? Does that mean you get less class time for that particular course or something later on in the semester? Or is the system different there for you?

Nisty~ I've slowly been changing what I eat. Just little things here and there, and surprisingly I'm actually starting to notice a bit of change, which is nice. How long do you think it will take before you can eat that stuff?

That's understandable, I'm making pretty good money in tips which compensates for my crappy pay on my paycheck. You're going back to school!?
