Oddly enough i'm in fine art xD!!! They're always hounding it into us, that we can't talk straight up opinions blah blah - that we have to be constructive. But meh. Exactly >.<;; It's all Gaia, Gaia, Gaia - and there isn't many people in there countering that with other examples. I myself can't, coz I don't go on any other avvy based websites, besides here and there. So maybe a lot of people voicing their opinions are the same. Argh. I totally agree though, can the donating idea. That is always available to people who want to take that incentive. So really there is no need for it.

I am now considering leaving Mene after completing commissions, and questing - because what else is there to do? There is nothing really holding me to this site besides friends, who post on various forums anyways - and questing o.o;; I mean you're right, people are completely within their right to voice the fact, that this site does need to start taking steps towards enticing their user base to stay. Roach is right too, it is primarily an avatar/item/currency based website >.<;;

You're exactly right >.<;; I also think that the user base here is different to that of Gaia. So what appeals here, wouldn't appeal over there necessarily and vice versa. Time to start holding our attention here... I mean we've got questing, but then what o.o; lols. I hope Mene starts getting more competitive against the other avvy based websites.

@ Nivvy - Hm I guess because for fine arts you have to be more diplomatic with weird or demanding customers? lol. I KNOW AGGG. Like I'm moving out in a week, I'm supporting myself and my bf while he goes to school fulltime. I'm also looking for a second part time job so I can start saving money so that I can start to go to school next year (finally) and get shit done. As it is my bills a month are going to be about 1.4k - I make 1.5K a month currently so yeah even though its what 5 bucks a month for me to donate all of a sudden that's 5% of my extra income. Extra that needs to go towards my saving / emergency fund. So its one thing for people that have double income, or are set financially, or still have an allowance from the 'rents and what not but I think it'd be nice if Menewsha or other users took our perspective into account. -end rant-

AHAHA exactly. And what you mentioned to Roachi as well about becoming competitive - its essential. In the last year really what kind of features did we have that made an impact? The live comment, a new game and the site got a little faster. That's about it from my perspective. You go to Zantarni they have a quest system in place, you go to Ernya and Roli they have a much more active user base -from what I've seen- hell even Gaia still has a lot of users who don't care about the cash shop because there is so much more they can do on there. Mene needs to start doing something to pull people in and keep them there - and features like an online MAC or a proper quest system, one Gaia never implemented will help the site loads - not a stupid charity. It is all currency which is what it cracks me up when I read comments such as "its going to become all about items and gold" For a very large portion of users that's all it is. When I join a site, I lurk make an exchange thread and start exchanging to... get all the items I want. Then I'll start interacting more but for me its about acquiring pretty pixels before anything else. That isn't to say I don't appreciate people I can talk to you like you and Roachi, and I enjoy doing so, but first and foremost I want to have the pixels and make the gold.
