i think one of the main reasons is that people usually have tabs opened and ready of the opposing teams and stuff. and if you so happen to be in the first page (or whichever page they land on with a lot of that team's members in it), people are going to keep hitting whoever's on that page every 30 minutes ^^; that's probably what's going on.
