It was probably when she heard Aiko that she came out of her daze. Had she actually upset someone? That bugged the TAR out of her! She grumbled and crossed her arms. She then stopped and a smile crept on her face. "Ooooooo girl!!!! I think I can share your excitement!!!" Alcohol wasn't her problem. Her problem was the itching need that crept up her spine slowly and made her body shiver. She touched the safety pin posing as a lapel and skipped over to where Aiko was. She poked her head under Aiko's arm and giggled at the Party room. "OOooo I love pool! Not very good at it mind you but I still love pool!! I say we do some Coyote ugly stuff with so many girls here!"
Coyan had watched his sister for a moment and the girl who had ripped her hand from Caira's and also the guy who followed after her. He didn't really care if the girl was hurt or if they was unsocial. Really his ownly concern was now WALKING AWAY. He groaned and trotted after her. She had stopped and poked her head into the now dubbed party room. "So its true. Old rich men really do just build anything they like. I bet the others have already found the library." He sighed and wondered how long it would take everyone here to go through this liquor. One day? Two? An hour?! "Soooooooo how big of a party are you already planning for tonight?" He asked looking to Aiko.

Ignoring the need to bug Seth and check on Heita; Alana buzzed by another need becoming very very prevalent. She zoomed into the 'party' room, eyes a glow.

"Awesome. Now, since I've been trained in this sort of thing I'll take point." She dusted imaginary dust off her shirt and sidled behind the bar and began taking stock. Nodding she began to mix quite a few alcohols in a jug. She tasted it, nodded crisply and put it to the side. "Long island ice teas are ready, and if that doesn't please you what's your poison?"

She poured herself a glass and began cutting up lemons and limes. "There's not to much fresh stuff, gotta use it fast. But there's a small fridge with milk and ice, so white russians and daquris can happen."

Celia looked at herself in the mirror. She looked a little pale, maybe, but other than that fine. She checked the sink and the toilet again, making sure there were no signs she'd ever been there. Finally satisfied, she went back by the front door and picked up her pad of paper and pen in case she saw anyone. Then she explored.

Most of the rooms down the hallway were bedrooms. A few had luggage in them, but other than that they mostly looked identical. There was also a state-of-the-art kitchen with a well-stocked fridge and pantry as well as a dining room. But no people.

((wait HAS anyone turned on music? If not please do so Celia can find everyone else!))

Aiko grinned. "Well, I think we've covered all of the rooms up here, right? I only saw four doors. So I'd say for now at least, we can take a break from exploring and have some fun." She poured herself a Long Island Iced Tea from what Alana had just prepared, winking and smiling to express her gratitude and turning towards the speaker system. "Let's see what the old man was listening to," she said, punching the power button and then the play button. Loud dance music began to flood the room, and Aiko quickly turned the volume down - not that she minded loud music, but people were still talking. If things got crazier, she'd turn it back up, but for the moment she set it to a conversational volume, returning to lean against the bar.


((There you go, I even blasted it for a second so Celia can hear it from anywhere in the house. :D Once she gets up the stairs she should see pretty much instantly since everyone is spread between the party room and the library

Note- I think I've been posting for a bit with the wrong colors for Aiko, I'll try not to make that mistake anymore. xD;

Note 2- Just FYI, (akari), you're not supposed to post twice in a row on Menewsha, you should just edit your previous post instead. Since people will still see it and you'll still get the extra gold, but it keeps people from spamming. :D))

((Just do what everyone else has been doing, Alex_Menewsha. As I said in multiple places around this thread, everyone will be arriving on the island at different times - just go find your character a room, and do...whatever your character would do next.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO EVERYONE: I just created a totally lame map of the house's layout and stuck it on the front page, in the Rules post. Everyone, please look at it and let me know which room you'd like to be yours. Also please keep that layout in mind when talking about the house, though as for the outside and also the specifics of your own bedroom, you are free to do as you please.))

A quick, loud burst of music came from upstairs, so abrupt that Celia jumped a little. She took a deep breath and headed upstairs.

There were two doors open in the hallway, but the one farther back was where the music was coming from. Celia walked in and found herself in a room with enormous windows, a pool table, a bar and...people: three girls and a guy, who seemed to all be friends.

((No problem, I am too and while writing this, I sort of developed an image in my head. So I wanted to get it put down because it would be really confusing if half the people thought the bedrooms were upstairs and then people were trying to use indoor pools and whatnot..yeah. Too crazy. xDD))

Aiko had been about to start conversation with Alana when her gaze had happened to fall upon the doorway. "Hey, a new girl!" she called excitedly. For a brief moment it occurred to her that everyone else had only been there an hour or so longer, yet somehow sharing this incredibly weird experience seemed to make the "getting to know you" part go a bit faster. She was already feeling pretty casual around these people, and the drink in her hand and the music playing weren't hurting. "What's up?"

Caira looked at the new girl and at Aiko who was comfortable holding a drink and listening to the music. IT was comfortabl for sure....But she was kinda getting that itching feeling to kinda run. She sighed as she just stood there. She looked at the new girl and smiled. "Hi there."

Alana smiled at the new girl and held up the jug. "Welcome! Drink?"

She placed the jug down again and piled some cups next to it and then began working on something for herself. Some mixing and shaking later she was leaning on the bar drinking a martini with a twist of lemon. It's only one drink, she thought looking around the room, head bobbing to the music. Only one. And besides, I'm on vacation. I can live a little.

Celia smiled. She lifted her hands to talk, but then realized she was holding her pad of paper and a pen. Confused, she looked at her hands for a moment, trying to decide what to do. Finally she dropped the paper and pen on the floor so she could sign.

((I'm going to put Celia's "talking" in italics so it's easier to tell she's not using her mouth. I'm also going to try and do as direct translations of ASL to English as possible. American Sign Language doesn't really use prepositions...for example, you could sign "I tired" or "I want kiss you"))

Hi. Anyone speak ASL?

((If no one can that's what the paper's for, but I'd be a lot easier for Celia if you guys at least knew how to sign your names. Oh and Leda way to offer the pregnant girl a drink. ^_^ Actually I was hoping someone would do that so thanks.))

Alana watche the new girl for a moment, puzzled. "Oh, hell . . . sign language, right?" She downed her drink and shook her head. "I never learned, but I do know about 1/2 a year's worth of high school spanish. Sorry hun." She looked chagrined and started mixing another drink.

((Chrono -- Heita knowing sign language would be great, thanks! She doesn't have to be fluent...or even if you want she can decide to learn and carry around a Sign Language book that she found in the library? lol))

Celia smiled at the girl at the bar and looked around hesitantly. Everyone's face was blank. Feeling very self-conscious, she bent down and picked up her pad and pen. 'HI,' she wrote in her big bubbly letters. 'Anyone know ASL?'

"ASL?? I take it that stands for American sign language?" Coyan said as he pulled himself up to sit on the pool table. "Sorry no can do. I never figured I'd need to learn it. Caira wanted to learn but she never found time around her sports." He said pointing to his twin. He smiled to the girl and waved. "I think...yeah..."He knew the alphabet at least and spelled out his named and pointed to himself. C. O. Y. A. N. " Hi...again."
Caira looked at her brother and shook her head. She looked at the crowd and smiled. "Rum and Coke please Alana." She sighed as she looked at the girl. She couldn't even remember the alphabet. "So where's Heita when we need her?"

Celia smiled at CoYan and wrote 'I'm Celia' on the paper to show him. So the girl who was beside him was his twin, Caira and the girl by the bar was Alana, and there were more people than were in the room. Maybe this Heita could sign? It was rather annoying to write everything down...usually in this situation she just coped with being mostly quiet.

Coya smirked and nodded as he picked up the 8 ball and tossed it from one hand to the other. He looked at the other girls and wondered where the quiet one who had been clinging to his sister and the one other guy went. "Sooooooo where did the others go. We kinda lost them I think." He thought about it for a moment and laughed. "RIGHT! First step in a scary movie plot. Someone always gets lost first!!"

Alana finished making her drink and poured the rum and coke for Caira. She slid it across the bar with a pondering look on her face. "Wellllll I was going to sneak up on Seth while he was hanging in the hallway. And I bet Sparrow went to find the library." She sipped her drink and waved at Celia. "Hello Celia! We'll get someone who can talk with you more quickly than the rest of us goobers." She grinned and took another hearty swig.

Aiko was a bit confused for a moment. At first, she had assumed this girl was deaf - yet she seemed to be reacting pretty clearly to other people's speech, even when Coyan had been looking at his sister and the girl, Celia, wouldn't have been able to see his lips. She turned to the girl. "You're not deaf, right? Are you mute?" she asked hesitantly.

Heita came back from the library, soon after the party had started. She had even realized that she was being followed by a boy, of course with the book she had found she was oblivious to most things right now. When she arrived she heard people talking about sign language, this was a shock she did not expect any person here to be deaf or anything of the sort. "Um e...excuse me...I know.....some." she said to the group of people hoping that maybe she could be a help.

Heita heard Aiko asking Celia the question on being deaf or mute, so she moved in front of Celia. "Why do you need ASL?" she signed carefully, not exactly sure if she got everything right. One of the few things she had picked up while being alone, with books as her company. maybe for once she could be a help to someone.

Celia was in the process of writing down her response to the hyper girl when another girl came in the room. The girl came up and signed, 'Why do you need ASL?' Celia giggled. Couldn't the girl, Heita, was it? at least say hello? Celia had forgotten how curious people could be about her disability.

'I no speak,' she signed back. 'M-u-t-e.' From the speed the girl was signing at, it didn't look like she was fluent, so Celia wasn't going to bother using more sophisticated signs.

'Give me drink?' she asked. The girl by the bar -- Alana -- looked like she needed something to do, and she had asked Celia if she wanted a drink when she first came in the room.

((xD that broken English thing is going to get annoying. I hope Heita is fluent in ASL.))

Aiko didn't understand any of the signs that Celia was making, but she understood well enough the glance she had thrown towards the pitcher of Long Island Iced Tea. Not wanting to say something and interrupt, Aiko held her hand out towards the pitcher to gesture and nodded questioningly, silently asking if that was what Celia had been referring to.

Caira blinked as Heita came back in. She had grabbed her drink and pulled up to sit next to her brother. The twins sat next to each other finally letting people see how alike they looked. She smiled to the new girl. At least her brother had said her name. She'd try to get Heita to spell her name out or maybe Coyan could do it. She looked up wondering where the other boy had gone. "Alana we were right. Heita knew sign language. We rock."
Coyan shook his head and leaned against his little sister. His blonde and green streaked hair was a contrast against her curled blonde locks. "I think you're an idiot." He said in the most sweetest way possible. He smiled up at her fuming face and chuckled as he stole her drink and took a sip before handing it back to her.
