Ugh. My cable's cut off, and I don't have a converter box until I can get to town. So, I only have ABC, and I'm stuck watching parades I can't go to all day.

Parades D=? Oh Mardi gras, lol.

I don't really watch TV, I watch a little Survivor, America's Next Top Model and some DIY shows on the local college channel. That's about it. Though, if I couldn't watch those shows I'd be sad.

I haven't seen Survivor in a really long time. We switched satellite companies a while back and lost the channel it comes on. I love America's Next Top Model. It's on all day every Sunday.

I watch a lot of TV. There isn't much else to do where I live.

I guess I listen to a lot of radio and do stuff at the same time. I just don't like passive entertainment.

Right now I'm starting over/up at Valenth with those little clicky pets. Probably a waste of time, but I've never done a clicky pet site thing before. I had this username there with one pet, but I can never log in on it for some reason.

question, what is Mardi Gras exactly? cause we don't have that in the usa and mardi gras for me means fat thuesday so... lol

We have Mardi Gras in the USA. ; ; It's just not as huge as in Rio.

We have it in the southern United States. I live in Mississippi. I know it's celebrated in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. I'm not sure if it's celebrated anywhere else in the U.S.

Mardi Gras is Fat Tuesday. It's just in French. It's kind of just a celebration. Some people put a lot of money into it, making their floats and buying beads and other little plushies and stuff to throw from the floats. People spend all year having outfits made for the Mardi Gras balls and everything. They name a king and a queen every year at the balls. It's just a fun time.

There's a really long history behind it starting in second century Rome. They started the festival to celebrate the Roman deity, Lupercus. But then, Christianity arrived in Rome and re-interpreted it, and the Carnival just became a time of abandon and merriment. Then, in 1699, Sieur D'Iberville brought it to America.

Mardi Gras is incredibly fun, I love catching beads and making stuff out of them later. :]
