Willow smiled as she held Gale closer as the cave darkened, hoping she would get lost int he dark. "Today's been crazy." Willow smiled shyly, more to herself as they moved through the caves with one hand in Gale's and the other around the small lamp he'd made for her.

Gale squeezed her hand reassuringly. he could see the open air now.

he popped his head above the water's surface and looked around. It was a much larger open cave, with a nice sandy beach on a shelf of rock. It ollked like there were caves going further on, upon a sandy path. It would be perfect for Willow if she needed to stay down here for a long period of time. there was even a few pieces of driftwood. Gale could bring in more and they could even have a fire.

"Those caves must lead back and up to the surface. They must go on for miles, to reach the sea cliffs from here." he wondered aloud.

Willow smiled happily as she let go of Gale's hand to explore further along the sand. "I like it." She smiled warmly as she sat on the sand, her hair dripping water into the smooth sand. "Thank you." Willow said as she stood up from the sand and ran to give Gale a large hug, not wanting to be bothered by how selfish she felt by enjoying his touch.

He laughed, reaching up on his tail to reach her better, he fell into her embrace. Caught like a fish in a net with the emotions, he pressed his lips to her's.

He knew when he was caught, the bait was too tempting to withstand reason any longer. he would endure any hook, for his human lady. He only hoped she could love a fish.

he kissed her gently, not wanting to scare off but to find if she would return the feeling. his hands were almost shaking for fear of rejection upon her hips. His eyes closed, only wanting the moment to continue.

Willow blinked a few times as she realized Gale was kissing her. Feeling herself swell with happiness at his kisses, Willow twisted her fingers in Gale's hair as she returned his kisses eagerly. Pushing away her insecurities for the few moments she could, Willow lost herself in Gale's kisses without caring why he'd kissed her or if he was making a mistake in doing so.

Willow pulled away from Gale's lips as she rested her forehead against his as she grinned foolishly, her fingers still tangled in his hair.

He thrilled when She answered his kiss. He drew in closer to her, taking in her scent, her touch, the warmth she shared.

He grinned foolishly along with the girl, his tail flickering in his excitement.

He whispered softly to her. "I Think I'm falling deeply in love with you, my lovely lady...." He put a hand to her cheek, cupping it and gazing deeply into her eyes. What wonders could these eyes show him. What joy could they share?

Willow blushed at Gale's words, having never had any boy fall for her. Cupping Gale's cheek in her palm, Willow gave him a soft kiss. "I think that's a horrible idea." Willow said quietly before pulling out of his embrace. Surely Gale couldn't be the only of his kind and Willow didn't want to be the girl he left if he met another one of his kind, a girl in particular.

He was still feeling pretty smug about how he got kissed back. He didn't take her words very seriously.

"Oh you do do you? Well I'll just have to change your mind." He gave her a cat grin, which in past retroflect was kind of odd for a fish guy....

He pounced upon her, knocking her to her back upon the sand. He gave her a long and passionate kiss. He felt himself, his soul, binding himself to her. Ties of love, need, also a bit of fear. Fear from being left void of all tenderness and kindness for some many years in captivity. He not only wanted this, he needed it.

Willow was surprised by the ambush and realized she needed him just as badly as he needed her. Ignoring the nagging voice in her head, Willow wrapped her arms around Gale's neck and returned his kisses eagerly as she pulled him closer to her.

tender caresses and kisses where serenaded by the subtle dripping in the room, the soft laps of water as they hit the sandy wall lightly. Heavy breathing was the low counterpoint to the scene.

It was the first time he had been filled with joy if not his whole life, then long since before his capture. Even before being encaged in glass, the world had seemed empty, barren. his kind were becoming less and less, his people less of what they were.

At last he pulled back, wanting to keep things steady. Too fast and well, if not thought through all the way, he wasn't sure of the consequences.

He smiled at her, thinking how radiant she looked, with the light reflecting waves upon her skin.

Willow felt her blush as she cupped Gales' cheek in her palm, her breathing becoming more even. Not saying a word in fear of ruining the moment, Willow simply looked into Gale's eyes and fought to keep the silly school girl grin off of her face.

Gale Didnt' hide his silly grin. He smiled on, thrilling in the feeling he felt. He felt like he might explode, he felt like he needed to move. He grabbed her hands and led her toward teh pool.

"Want to go really fast?" He asked her grinning wildly.

"Really fast?" Willow asked nervously as she moved from the sand and into the water. "How fast?" She asked as she wound her arms around his waist, her nerves showing clearly on her face.

"you wont believe how much fun it is. Just hold on tight, but hey it's water, if you slip off at least you want fall." His eyes dazzled as he made sure she was holding tight. Then he dived with her, weaving out of the caves and ready to give her the ride of her life. He looked up at her, grinned and then sped off. Faster than a dolphin, they sped through the waters.

Willow let out a laugh as Gale took her through the underwater maze, her arms set tight around his waist and her chin resting on his shoulder. Willow felt the water press against her skin, somewhat painfully, but kept it to herself as Gale sped through the waters and was amazed by his speed. Not to mention how incredibly graceful he seemed in going at such a high speed.

After a few minutes he slowed down, swinging her around in a loop de loop.

"Ahhh I feel like a kid again. Thank you...for everything." He watched as schools of fish swum by, the coral beneath them full of life.

Willow smiled as she rested her head in the crook of Gale's neck. Willow saw a flash of tail that looked very similar to Gale's as well as a long stretch of hair that was similar to Willlow's except the color was blond. With her smile turned in a frown, Willow buried her face into Gale's neck as she felt a wave of dread crash over her.

Gale felt the disturbance int he water, just as Willow buried her face into his neck. He twirled around, one arm holding Willow close to him.

He saw the figure swimming just a little off from them.

He gazed at the figure, wondering what this could mean. He wasn't quite ready to face another of his kind. they would most likely disapprove of his choice with willow... Especially if His father ever found out.

The mermaid who was swimming just below the couple, Jessaline, looked up to see the merboy and a young human on his back. "Another merboy?" She asked curiously in a voice that was so sweet it caused Willow to bury her face deeper against Gale's neck as she braced herself for rejection.

Jessaline swam towards Gale and cupped his cheek in her palm with an alluring smile that could've made mortal boys fall to their feet. "With a human no less." Jessaline commented as she looked over his shoulder at Willow who made no effort to look up at the girl, knowing already just how beautiful she must be. "What are you doing here?" Jessaline asked curiously as she looked back at Gale.

He reached the end of his tail fin to briefly touch with the mer girls. A simple form of greeting.

"We have just arrived in the area. I was in a spot of trouble, and this lovely lady, helped me in my time of need. However her help also put her in danger, so she is now under my protection." There was a hint of warning, but he tried to remain open and friendly. He didn't want to ask for trouble when there might not be any.

"I am Gale, This is Willow." He told the girl politely.

"I'm Jessaline." The mermaid said softly, causing Willow to peek at the mermaid girl only to realize that she was every bit as pretty that she thought she would be. "A shy human girl, you have." Jessaline laughed softly as Willow turned away from the mermaid and looked over Gale's other shoulder.

"There's no need to be afriad." Jessaline smiled kindly, her voice having an underlying tone of a challenge that only a woman could sense. Willow felt her fears of losing Gale being confirmed as the mermaid spoke and she wrapped her arms tighter around Gale, afriad that this would be the last time she'd ever be this close to him.

"Just one of her charms." He smiled lightly at the mer girl.

"So tell us Jessaline, about the waters here. Are there many others of our kind?" he looked over at his lady and smiled at her reassuringly.

"It's alright Lady willow, you are safe with me." He reached out a hand to hold hers. He gave her hand a tight squeeze.

"Mostly nomads." Jessaline sighed as she gazed at the empty waters around them. "There's no real city for miles. Only one in fact." She said before pointing directly behind her. "The sea stretches for miles before you see it but there's a city up there that's still running." She shrugged, used to living on her own.

Willow smiled politely as she rested her chin on Gale's shoulder and tried her hardest not to let her jealousy and insecurity be evident but she was sure that Jessaline noticed her feelings by the sly smile she recieved.

"I see, I myself originated much north from here. We found some caves just south of here. Do they belong to you?" He asked politely, but deep down he worried that they had trespassed upon another's home. There weren't any signs that someone was living in them, but still. Did this mer girl live in the area, or was she too like the other nomads that wandered from place to place.

His tail twitched lightly in anxiety. It had been some time since he had been among the kin, and he wondered what things had changed or remained the same. their was a sort of monarchy and clans among the different groups. He Himself was a son of a large group up in the north eastern waters.

"No." Jessaline said simply as she looked around. "The only merpeople who maintain permanent residences live in the city out there." She said, nodding behind her. "As far as I know anyways. These caves have been empty for years." She shrugged. "But I'm afraid I must move on." Jessaline said to Willow's relief. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Gale." She said, swimming upwards to give his cheek a soft kiss. "Perhaps next time there'll be no human girl." She smiled cruelly before taking off through the waters.
