Aiko and Iku stared at Nathaniel dumbly. "Mr. Weaver hasn't been in the neighborhood for over a year now; he's a traveling businessman. He comes back next month, on the twenty-second. I was chatting with Mrs. Weaver earlier in the month about it, because Mr. Weaver offered me a part-time job at one of the food chains he owns, but I had to refuse." Iku attempted to hide her giggles. She turned back to Spring. "Yeah, sort of. I just like the learning about reptiles. Obviously," she joked, and Aiko smiled. "I like Dance and Algebra 2, only because Higgins is the teacher. English is alright, but it's not bad either." Aiko nibbled on a piece of pie. They both thanked Spring for the milk when it appeared, and Iku took a long swig at first.

"Mr. Hill, well, he'll try to ruin your life. Embarrass you in front of the class. Mark you down on stupid things that shouldn't be marked down. Regular hateful-teacher things," Iku told Spring, drinking a bit more milk. "Anyhow, maybe he'll be nice to you. Maybe you'll melt his cold, cold heart."

Spring listened to the twins and Nathaniel converse about the school's instructors. It was a rare moment that she thought it best to stay quiet and simply observe the way the three behaved with one another. She was unsettled somewhat by Nathaniel, but perhaps it was due to the fact that she had not really gotten to know him. She had been focusing on the twins this entire time after all.

Her eyes wandered over the kitchen that she was currently standing in as she listened, they stopped on the stairway and lingered for a moment. Some time had passed since her brother had returned, even more time had passed since Winter had moved to her room. She was curious to see if Summer had made any progress at all with convincing their sister to come join the others.

Her attention was brought back to Iku and Aiko as Iku started to talk more about Mr. Hill. She smiled nervously, "I hope that he does like me." She paused to take a few bites of her apple pie. Swallowing she smiled mischievously back at Iku and continued, "Maybe I can melt his evil heart and get him to warm up to the rest of the class in that case so he'll stop acting as such. If not, weeeell we'll have to come up with some way to get back at him. Am I right?" She was always in a mood for a slight trick or two here and there, as long as they were harmless of course.

X---X

Lucia still could not quite bear going home to an empty house just yet. Her mother would be at the gallery for some time and the quiet was not a welcoming thing to arrive home to. At least not for the moment. She decided to wander through the park curious if there was any final Summer events going on to help signify that it was indeed coming to a close.

As she walked she thought she spotted a male that she had recognized from school along with another male who she could not place a name to. "Hm, is he part of the new family that just moved in?" She found that she had not been paying very close attention to where she was going and stumbled into someone in that moment.

"Sorry!" Lucia cried as she jumped back to give the other person some room to recover. "I wasn't watching where I was going annnnnd-" She tilted her head curiously slightly to the right as she looked over the features of the young lady she had come into contact with. "Heeeey, aren't you Dawn from school? I've seen you around before. Well, I think we had a few classes together too." She pointed an index finger at the other fem waiting for an answer.

Iku smiled at Spring, it looking odd on her face. "Maybe I can set grass snakes loose in his underwear drawer, or his pants drawer, whatever one would be funnier. Can you imagine him waking up and putting on his pants, only to find that there's a snake in the crotch area?" Aiko gasped and said, "But.. What if they bite him?" Iku giggled. "Grass snakes are harmless, silly. No venom at all, most of them. He'll be fine. Just have bite marks all over his-" Aiko cleared her throat and glanced at Spring for a second. Iku didn't wait for her reaction, and instead drunk some more milk.

Summer looked at Winter as she debated whether or not she'd accompany him downstairs. As time passes, he found himself thinking that she would say no, as she usually did. Over the years, she stopped doing things with the rest of them. Then again, they had all stopped spending a lot of time together, that was part of what got them sent to Earth in the first place.

As she said that she would join the group downstairs, Summer smiled, glad that she was going to spend time with them. Especially with Spring. The two girls had never really gotten along, he had never really understood why. Then again him and Autumn did not really get along either, so he really wasn't one to talk. "Alright that works, let's go," he told her, leading her downstairs. He suppressed a laugh when she commented on the pie; laughing wasn't going to help, it would just piss her off.

As they entered the kitchen, he smiled at the others, glad no one had killed each other. "Hey, look who I found," he said, indicating to Winter.

Nathaniel nodded in their direction, giving a friendly smile in Winter's direction, as he slid a pair of plates with pie to the other end of the counter, the plates stopping at the edge as he said, "Bon appetite." He looked to Iku and asked, "Could you please pass the milk?"

[ Short post for now ~ ]

Aiko turned around as Summer returned and smiled when he mentioned the other girl. "You must be, um... Winter?" She said, taking a wild guess. Winter sounded like a girl's name, and she thought she remembered Spring saying that Fall, or possibly Autumn, was a he. "
Nice to meet you. I'm Aiko, and this is Iku." She motioned to her twin, who was currently in the middle of biting her brownie. She looked up, and then back to her brownie, continuing the bite and swallow. "Um... Hi," Iku supplied, then immediately going back to her brownie and milk, stealing a small piece of Aiko's brownie, too. Aiko sighed. "Sorry. She doesn't like to talk much."

((@ Abomination.: I think you mean that Summer returned in that first line of your post. >.<))

Winter followed Summer downstairs without a word, steeling herself for what was to come. She took each step one at a time and started to feel more and more nervous the closer she came to the bottom. It was simple for her to put on an icy charade for her siblings but she wasn't so sure how it would fare against their human guests.

After reaching the bottom stair, Winter followed Summer into the kitchen/dining area and paused at the entrance. She stood there awkwardly silent, hugging her library books to her chest almost like a shield. She looked at Nathan and caught him flashing a smile in her direction but ignored it. She also ignored the pie he slid down the counter and instead peered into the dining room at the group of girls gathered around the table.

Winter nodded silently at Aiko's question and listened as the girl introduced herself and another girl who looked exactly like her. This other girl seemed to be busy with a brownie but took a moment to say hi, and steal a piece of her sibling's desert. After the first girl tried to cover for her twin Winter said, "That's alright, I don't like to either." She wondered if her statement might come off as a bit rude but then decided that she didn't really care even if it did.

[ Yes, yes I did. xD Thank you ! ]

Iku glanced upward. "Winter would seem like a good name for you, then... Giving off a bit of a cold shoulder, aren't you?" Iku said, replying back with the same tone, waiting in silence for a reply. She didn't know whether Winter meant it to come off as rude, or if she was simply in a bad mood, but whatever this girl would put out, Iku would give it right back. She ignored Aiko, who tensed up at Iku's reply, and then opened her mouth to try to cover for her. "Dear Jesus, please, shut up with all that 'lets be good friends' crap. If Winter wants to be icy, she might as well know that a lot of people in this town probably won't like that. You can't solve everything, Aiko, so let it be. Just like earlier, where.... um..." Iku broke off as she tried to remember what had happened earlier, but found she could not. She simply shrugged and continued eating.

((LOL! You're welcome!))

Winter listened carefully to Iku's reply and almost took it as a compliment until she turned to say something else in response to her sister's obvious disapproval. At this the second oldest season's brow furrowed but only for a moment as Iku was busy yelling at her twin. Winter was surprised to see the two of them in disagreement but said nothing to interfere. By the time the other had turned back to face Winter again, she held a stoic expression on her face once more. She cocked her head slightly as the girl seemed to loose track of what she was saying and busied herself with her desert once more. She was at a loss of what to say so she simply continued to stand silently in the doorway and waited for someone else to say or do something.

Spring's giggling grew as Iku talked of the prank that they could pull with the grass snakes. As Aiko stepped in and had Iku explain that grass snakes were indeed harmless, her giggling grew louder turning into actual laughter.
Looking to Iku as she started drinking her milk once again, her eyes grew slanted as she had a mischievous grin on her lips. "Let's totally do it. I want to see what happens."

Her laughter and light hearted feelings had all but vanished as Summer announced his return with a new member. Of course it was Winter that he was referring to. She figured that Winter would be her usual self and watched as Iku pointed out that she could be who she wanted, though the off putting disposition would not bode well with the rest of the town. Spring then looked to her elder sister's face and studied her beautiful features. She thought that she would look even more stunning if she smiled more, especially since the act would not kill her.

Deciding to stay quiet she began working on the remainder of her tasty treats that the neighbors had brought, her eyes flitting between the guests in the room to study each of them a little more closely.

Nathaniel brushed some hair from his face in order to mask his grin as he said, "So, Winter, are you attending school this year? This'll be my senior year, and I must say that I'm looking forward to it. How about you two, Iku, Aiko? Are you two going to be sophmores or juniors?" As he watched the three girls, waiting for a response, he took a bite of his pie slice and a look of pure bliss came over his face at its taste.

((Sorry for not replying sooner, I've had some pretty crappy hours at work lately but I'm starting to catch up now. Also, since the holidays are over now I'm going to start tracking people down. This place has been far too quiet the past few weeks. V_V))

As the silence droned on, Winter couldn't help but feel that she wasn't welcome. It seemed that Spring was still mad at her as well since the usually boisterous season was even holding her tongue; a rare occurrence. As the uneasy atmosphere was beginning to grate on her, Winter took a step away from the wall and was about to excuse herself when Nathaniel interrupted her action.

Caught awkwardly in mid-step, Winter took another step forward to the table to smooth over the action and sat down in the nearest chair. She took a moment to situate herself, then responded, "I'm too old for school," she said, "Spring will be the only one attending." Winter hoped the cue would turn the conversation towards her sister rather than herself. In the meantime she did her best to ignore the disgusting face the human boy was making over his pie.

"Juniors," Aiko replied to Nathaniel, then swinging her head around to face Winter as she spoke. "Is that so? Will you be finding a job, then?" the girl asked, her eyes wide with interest. The way Winter carried herself was something she really didn't see in other people now, and she wasn't exactly sure what it was, and whether the other was just on a high horse or not.

Iku, however, was still talking to Spring. "Maybe we can throw a more vicious-looking snake in there too, harmless of course."

Summer sat at the counter and grabbed some pie. He ate in silence enjoying the food. He had never had anything like it before, it was very delicious. He half-way listened to the conversation going on around him, the subject matter neither interesting him nor concerning him.

Alana watched as the movers moved in the last bit of there stuff; she looked around and looked at all the houses. 'this place is nice, but its not home.' She said softly to herself as she played with the blue pendent around her neck. All Alana really wanted to do was go home back to her mother, and never see her father again. She had been sitting on the steps of there house for about three hours now; she had just been watching them move everything inside. She desisted to get up and go into the house. Everything was everywhere. She walked up the stairs that took her to the second floor. Her new room would be on the right, all her boxes where now placed in there. She opened a box that had a few of her cloths in in, she opened another that had the rest of them in there, and the hangers. Alana began to put her cloths into the closet, till there was no more left.

Alana then pushed the dresser that was in the middle of the room, to the wall with the window. The dresser was a solid oak dresser with a flowered design and the drawers. The bed was up against the wall to the left of the window. Alana pushed the bed till it was by the door, across from the window. She placed the small night stand by her bed, witched matched the dresser. Alana then opened another box and found her sheets, in the box there where about seven pairs of sheets and about ten pillows. Alana made her bed and put the rest of the sheet on the top shelves of her closet, There where still a few boxes in her room, but she sat on her bed as she grabbed the brown school bag. She took a picture out of it, It was of her and her mom and dad. "I wish things where different." she said. She put the picture on the night stand, along with an alarm clock.

Alana then got off of her bed and walked out of her room, she then went down stairs to the kitchen. She opened the fridge and found nothing in it. Alana rolled her eyes as she grabbed her keys off the counter. She then walked out side and got into her car. She was already sick of this small town, as she drove to the small cafe. She walked in and sat by herself all she had was he brown bag with white flower on it, she also had her wallet and cell phone.

Winter was happy when the conversation turned toward a topic that didn't really concern her, but not for long. It seemed one of the twins had other plans for her. Finding a job was a bit of a sore subject for Winter. During their first few weeks on Earth, Winter had tried to find a job. First she had tried the library as it was the place that appealed to her the most, but couldn't get a grasp of the sorting system. Next she tried the grocery store but didn't have a strong sense with human money and couldn't be put to work at the register which was the only position open at the time. Summer even had her try the Surf Shack but the bright sunlight bothered her too much.

And so discouraged, Winter gave up her search for employment in the human world, and believing that she wasn't fit for any job spent most of her time pent up in her room. She didn't want to admit this to Aiko however, especially after what Iku had said about her personality so she did her best to carefully phrase her reply, "I haven't found anything that I'm good at yet..." Despite the thought she put into her response, it still didn't sound right to hears but she couldn't do anything about it now. She could only hope that Aiko didn't ask for specifics or she might end up sounding rather stupid. Over her shoulder she caught sight of Summer indulging in a piece of pie and wondered how he managed to escape being interrogated.

Nathaniel nodded at their responses before turning to Summer and asked, "So, Summer, I've seen you in passing at the Surf Shack. Was that just a job to pass the time during vacation or do you have a standing position there?" Nathaniel hoped that Summer would provide a more normal conversation, mostly because he was sick of playing nice with the addle-brained Spring and because Winter was being uncooperative.

Summer nodded at Nathaniel. "Yes, I am once school starts. I would have worked there full time, but I wanted to make sure we all assimilated it here alright," he told him. He had been working over at the Surf Shack over the summer and had been offered a full time position. He was planning on accepting it, he actually liked working there. It gave him time to be outside and to doing some of his favorite things, namely surfing.

(( I'm really sorry I haven't been around. I started going to this program/help group that takes up most of my time and I'm so tired at the end of the day that I've been away from the computer too much. I am also extremely sorry that it took me this long to reply.... T^T ))

Dawn fell backwards and landed on her butt, surprised by the girl who had suddenly appeared. She got up and dusted off her clothes and looked at the girl. "Umm.. yeah, that's me. I'm sorry, I don't always have the best memory for names." She said with a slightly nervous smile, though she wasn't too nervous. She knew the girl looked familiar, but she really couldn't place a name to the face at the moment. Dawn took a deep breath and smiled. She liked talking to other people and making friends, but there were some times where a person's name would escape her anyway. Like right now it felt like her brain had shut down and needed to reboot or something like that.

Spring could not help but raise an eyebrow at Nathaniel as she watched the male's expression as he took a bite from his slice of pie. She stopped herself short of laughing managing a small snort as her attention went back to the twins. She was finding this male to have an increasingly annoying arrogant demeanor with the way he carried himself as well as in his tone as he conversed with the others.
Perhaps it was just her, but she definitely did not like him.

Giggling at Iku, she answered, "Maybe we could find something a little more... Mmm, exotic? To scare him with. I think we should start forming a few plans. Just as insurance for later." She liked the twins, especially Iku.

Listening to her siblings' responses to about a job she had to force herself to keep her mouth clamped shut, which a was a difficult thing to do considering her mouth always seemed to be one step ahead of her brain. She looked to Winter as she kept her answers short in response to Aiko, then looked at Summer as Nathaniel and he conversed. That last thing that she wanted to do was anger Winter and cause her to stay shut up in her room. She was Summer would be irritated with her if that happened since it had taken some coaxing to get her out, or so she assumed knowing her sister.

Looking to the clock in the kitchen she wondered how long the neighbors would stay. She was beginning to feel uneasy and almost wanted to leave the house, if for only a few short minutes. Periodically she gained the feeling of being claustrophobic, especially with all the new people here.

X---X

Lucia looked at Dawn as she stood and dusted herself off, smiling slightly. "I thought that I recognized you. I'm Lucia." She stuck out a hand offering to shake with Dawn. She felt like the other girl was nervous, or maybe she was projecting her own feelings onto her. She was a little nervous since she rarely really spoke to any of the others in her class.

"So what are you up to out here? Are you looking forward to school starting again tomorrow?" She only wished to put them both more at ease.

Alana sat alone and ate her meal by herself. She didn't know what was in store for her this year, all she knew is that she would be at a new school, and would be all alone at this new school. Alana had to find a way to be able to go with her mother, she longed for her mother, and her old friends. A few tears came to her eyes as she thought about everyone back home. Alana quickly finished her food and paid for it. She then walked out of the cafe and headed home. When she got home she desisted to go to bed. She quickly climbed under the cover and slowly, but surly fell asleep, she didn't care what time it was, she just wanted this hell of a day to be over.

Nathaniel nodded and sat in silence for a few moments before asking, "So, are you or your siblings into reading at all? I'm somewhat a bookworm myself," Nathaniel chuckled as he took another bite of the pie, waiting for a response. However, he was becoming somewhat annoyed at the lack of response from Winter. He expected her to be cold with a name like Winter, but this was getting ridiculous. He hoped that eventually he would manage to stumble upon a topic that he could use to engage her in conversation. He found the young lady quite fascinating.

[[I've only gotten one response so far in regards to changing the day in the RP. PLEASE read post number 115 above and tell me what you think in the OOC.]]

Aegis craned his neck around the side of the tree when he heard a commotion from somewhere behind him and caught saw two females that, from what he discern, had collided. One girl was on the ground while another one was explaining rather loudly about how she hadn't been paying attention when she was going, until she got distracted by the identity of the girl who she had caused to fall over.

Aegis stared unashamed at the two human girls and compared them to his Spring. In the wastes he had not crossed paths with many beautiful females so he didn't have much to compare her with. The girl who had fallen had long hair not unlike Spring's grassy locks but a somewhat sweeter composition that he found slightly less attractive than his beauty's lively personality. On the other hand, the girl that had caused the accident was a bit more edgy and outspoken it seemed. While both of the girls were lovely, they couldn't possibly compete with his princess. Still, he would need to practice his skills in winning female hearts so he decided to join them.

Aegis stood slowly and brushed any remnants of earth off of his white cargo pants before rounding the side of the tree and sauntering up to the two females standing a few feet off, "Lovely day isn't it?" he asked rather dramatically as he approached, "Dawn is it? I couldn't help but notice that fell, are you alright?" he asked in a "concerned citizen" sort of voice. He honestly wasn't all that concerned for the human girl, especially since it didn't seem that she had been harmed in the least, but it seemed as good a reason as any to approach the two females.

Dawn smiled and shook Lucia's hand. "I'm sorry I didn't remember your name, Lucia." She said easily enough. "I thought going for a walk might calm my nerves a little. I guess I'm a little nervous about school starting up again tomorrow." She added and paused as she noticed a guy walking towards them. Apparently he was trying some small talk, asking about the weather. Dawn smiled a little and shook her head. "I'm fine, thanks." She added in response to his question. "Please forgive me, but... who are you?" She asked, not sure if she had seen him before.
