Its my character Akira. She beats up every thug in town basically. Her father was involved in a gang though she has know knowledge of her father because her mother kept it from her and she pretty much lives alone because her mom and aunt are workaholics.
The base doesn't belong to me.



If your wondering what that red circle is on her head its the eye to her hoodie. And around her head is the hood to her hoodie. It just merely looks like a circle. XD

Not a huge fan of gangster stuff, just your story is good. I like how you have started it so far, not really sure what to thinking of it so far as it's not totally done. Not really good with pixel art yet, so I can't really tell you what I think as it just looks unfinished. You know what I mean?

That's why its called a WIP.

Well just keep an open mind when she teaches you the stuff that she wants to. It will help you accept her ways of doing things and help you improve on what you already have.

No I don't know what you mean. You need to make basically the perfect shape of the head pixel by pixel.

Oh, so when you do a doll like that, you have to make it totally by hand. Like each point has to be done by you right?

everything is done by you. Basically if you don't know anatomy your base will come out to be really bad. If you don't draw and it comes out really good well then..that's just lucky. >.>

Okay, now I see why that would be really hard to do then, I assume they have programs that can be used for pixel art right? Like that give you preset shapes and stuff to make your job a little easier?

It depends on your program. But either way its going to be hard.

Well I hope you learn a lot then, I'm glad that you finally found a teacher that is going to help you learn how to become better also. I know how much you enjoy art and I love to see how you have improved over time.

Well thanks. I just think my current one...the sparklyness overwhelms things and not in a good way. Especially when I do folds on a large doll.

You're welcome, what do you mean sparklyness? I don't see much sparkle on this one, unless you are talking about another doll you are currently doing or already did.

Okay, I wasn't sure and you are trying to get away from all the sparkle I take it. Well I hope you can find what works or your teacher can help you to find it. I know you will at some point and can't wait to see how it turns out.

Sounds like a plan, I want to try and open a banner shop myself. I have done a lot for friends and all, just that I feel like helping out even more people with it. Like that one banner I did for your old thread, I really liked how that turned out and all. Plus all the ones I did for Jake back when he first opened his thread, he really liked all of them and I still have all them saved. What do you think, should I try doing them again for people?
