my mom just turned 50 march 30. My friend Nikki says she can't be and that she's lying and that she's only 39. i find that funny though because i'll be 21 in a few days and if my mom were 39 she would have been 18 when she had me instead of 29 when she had me, and she would have been 14 when she had my brother. I think she was about 22 or 23 when she got married.

There is a time to know when it's ok to be childish, and when it's time to be more mature, I believe.

They just don't know the mature side of me. I have to wear glasses to see words and numbers, people say that I get a lot more mature when I wear my glasses. They make me look a lot older though

I don't feel like I've changed all that much between this year and the last. However, there has been a drastic shift in my outlook on life, self-confidence, self-esteem, etc. in the past few years. A bit harder to place than a change in looks but -shrugs- I'll take it.

I was actually thinking about these shifts/bits of personal growth just the other day (I was off visiting my old college).

I know, I was just remarking that some changes take longer than a year to see, and was wondering how many of you have experienced a vast / noticeable shift in how you feel about certain things, deal with them, etc over the past few years (especially during your college years and points thereafter, for those who have gone through college already).

In terms of non-physical changes, I think I've changed a lot over the past year! I've started going to college, and that's been really good for me. I also finally got out of a bad relationship I had been stuck in for years, got some brief experience with a much more normal relationship and am now single for the first time since I was 14. I think I've come a long way in the last year in terms of maturing and getting better at actually doing things. Here's to hoping I make just as many improvements in the next year!

I don't think my physical appearance has changed much, although I'm gradually working on improving my fashion.

But I think I grew a lot as a person this last year. I entered my first serious relationship, which was a big change. I was so used to being single so I had to get used to being a partner in a relationship.

Still loving hearing all these changes.

Here lately I've been wearing my hair down and I've been getting a lot of awesome compliments.

Last year, I got my hair all chopped off and had bangs across my forehead....now, my hair is really long and wavy. I've never colored my hair. V.V
I've changed maturity wise, I suppose.

I've found one thing that's changed about me since last year, though it's probably only because I'm (now) 21... I was really excited about my birthday and was counting down to it. :]

I also look forward to my birthday this year I am 16 years young, that's right YOUNG!!! muhahaha, I'm like benjiman button, I grow young not old

I got really excited about being able to legally drink. :D I'm still slightly intoxicated, but at least i'm typing properly. kinda, i think. I'll see this tomorrow and possibly be all... wtf? well... possibly. drinking was fun and a good idea for my birthday, and i had a lot of fun :]

EDIT: Yeah, I had a good night. I'm stunned now to see how well I typed last night. or at least here. Facebook/skype is a different story heh :]

I haven't really changed a lot. I'm still a huge goofus doofus. As you can see I lost some muscle mass over the year. :P (Just kidding!) I did lose about 15 pounds though from switching from vegetarian to vegan. I'm graduating this year! And I've been working at my first job for quite a while. Some other good things are how much Xena: Warrior Princess I've been watching, and how much great music I've discovered.

I think in general I've changed in that I've learned to be happy with myself, and learned to value my family more.

As for my appearance I lost 10 pounds and I feel so much better. :) Also am trying to eat healthier, which is how I lost those 10 pounds.

As for my appearance..not really. I guess I've been making an active effort to wear more color and less black so I don't always look like I'm in mourning. I also let my bangs grow out because I was sick of not being able to do pompadours and such.

OH, and I've had a blonde streak in my hair since September. I'd never done anything like that before. HA. I'm so crazay. XD
