Bruce drove as fast as he could without hurting anyone. Thankfully, he had packed the suit in the back seat, so he didn't have to stop off. He pulled over near the coordinates that he was given, changed in the back seat, and got out of the car. "Take the car and head back home. I'll catch up with you later."

This time, Gemini found him without slamming into him by accident. Unfortunately for her, before she got a chance to sneak up and hit him, her puppy jumped out of her arms and ran at him, barking. "Shit, puppy, no! I've gotta name you...come back!"

Joker glared at the puppy and nudged him away with his foot. "Get away you or I'll gas you next." he growled then glanced up. "he must be yours the size fits you. He'll probably be bigger then you when he's grown." he laughed.

Lori watched him go then drove home. She set out a romantic setting with candles and a table set for to. She slipped into something sexy once she had started the spaghetti.

Gemini growled. "I'm not that short! And don't threaten my puppy." She said, coming over and picking the puppy back up. It barked at Joker, and Gemini smirked. "How cute, he thinks you're stupid, too. You know." She turned serious and looked up. "I've wondered something a lot. When I was attacked, you were there. You weren't the one who attacked me, but I know you were there. Why didn't you kill me? You had the time. I was already half dead, it would have been easy. So why am I still alive?"

At that very moment, Batman appeared. "Step away from the girl, Joker." He warned, mistaking the current situation.

"Maybe I liked the possibilities that you might turn bad." Joker laughed and glanced at Batman stepping closer to the girl. "Poor Batly always one step behind me." he dropped the bomb to the ground and in the smoke vanished into the alleyway laughing.

Gemini had time only to blink before there was smoke everywhere. She coughed and covered up her puppy so that he could breathe, until the smoke cleared. "Dammit...I didn't get to kick his ass." She mumbled, looking around.

Batman pulled his cape up over his mouth to avoid the smoke. He couldn't see a thing, even though he tried to follow the clown, by the time the smoke cleared, he was gone. "You should go home, and stay there. Try not to get mixed up with him." He told Gemini, before disappearing. The first thing he did after leaving was head to Lori's house. He didn't even change.

Gemini scoffed. As creepy as the Joker was, she was somehow not scared of him. The last words he spoke echoed in her mind as she walked home. I'm already a thief, though not as good as Lori. What if I was never good?

Lori finished cooking and set the food out ensure that they would have a lady and the tramp moment.

Joker watched the girl not sure why she was so interesting. He sighed and headed home petting his hyena's as they greeted him.

Batman landed on the windowsil and knocked on the window. He wasn't worried that he'd scared her- Lori would know who it was.

Gemini set her puppy down and let him explore. She filled his bowl and set up his doggy bed, and gave him a few toys to play with. "Okay, a name. You need a name." The puppy looked at her expectantly. "I know! Your name is Lucifer." She said. Lucifer barked happily and went off to play with his toys. Gemini smiled and went to make herself dinner.

Lori slid the window open and ginned at him. "Hey handsome." She got out of the way. "I made us supper." She becogned him in showing off the dress. "What do you think?" She purred.

Joker settled in soon it would be full dark and he would be able to go back out.

Batman pulled off the cowl and smiled at her. "Beautiful." He said. "You know, I've never had your cooking before, so it's even more special." The tone of his voice indicated that he was looking forward to more than just the food, however.

As Gemini finished her sad little frozen dinner, she decided that it was time to get back into practice. She went to her closet and dug around for a bit, before pulling out a skintight black ninja outfit and an ANBU mask shaped like a fox's face. Smiling, she picked up her phone and texted Lori: Tonight, I'm back on the scene. Want to go on a "shopping" spree together?

Lori grinned a little "Maybe you can have a special dessert." she heard her phone and sighed. "You get settles I'll be back." she glanced at the phone. No thanks I'm with Bruce maybe "busy" she went back to Bruce turning her phone off. "Let's eat." She grinned and sat at the table.

Joker watched a little tv finally going out again to have a little fun nothing to big.

Gemini pouted a little at the text. She had hoped her first night back out would be with Lori, but she wouldn't fuss. It was more important that Lori and Bruce got it on already. So, with that happy thought, she got changed and ready to head out.

Bruce smiled and went to hold Lori's chair out for her. Once she was seated, he went back around the table and sat down himself. "It smells wonderful." He complimented.

"Thanks." Lori blushed softly and started eating holding his hand with her free one. It felt nice to finally be spending time with him even if he was called away a little time was all she needed to be happy.

Joker wondered threw the town scaring people away as he cased a lab wondering if he could blow it up.

Bruce realized that he was smiling more now than he had since he was a child. Taking a bite, he made a sound of surprise. "Wow. I think Alfred has a rival." He said.

Gemini, in full ninja garb, landed on the rooftop of a nearby jewelry store. She wanted to start off small, see if she was rusty or not, and then maybe move on to something bigger. And in the meantime, she would find something to get Lori, as proof that she did it. Just as she was contemplating what to steal, commotion caught her attention in a lab. Curious, she decided to check it out.

Joker spread the liquids laughing as most of them caught fire while other fizzled and died. It was easier then he thought it would be.

Lori blushed brightly looking down with a smile. "Thanks." she wiggled in her seat embarrassed. "It's just spag though anyone can make it."

Gemini peeked in and saw the fires quickly spreading. "Chemical fires...that's gonna hurt." She said, before getting the heck out of there. She would just go back to the jewelry store.

I can't." Bruce said sheepishly. Just then, his communicator went off. "Joker again...want to come with me and beat him up?"

Lori pouted a little. "No I'll just stay here and clean up." she sighed a little. "Go save the world." she kissed his cheek. "I'll be here with the window unlocked if you want to come back."

Joker left as well chuckling as the building went up with a small bomb.

"Oh, I'll be back." He promised, before disappearing.

Gemini made quick work of the jewelry store, noting happily that she hadn't lost her edge. On her way out, she happened to catch sight of Joker. She waved, pointed up at the Bat signal in the sky, and dashed away.

Joker grinned and hurried away not to fast planning on getting caught this time.

Lori turned her phone back on all alone =c she texted Gemini sighing.

Batman caught up to the Joker quickly enough. Dropping down behind him silently, he reached forward, spun him around, and threw a punch directly at his face. He wasn't messing around this time- the asshole had interrupted his date.

Gemini was getting close to her apartment when she felt her phone vibrate. She had turned off the ringer, of course, but she kept it close to her body so she knew if she was texted. Looking at the text, she smiled behind her ANBU mask and headed towards Lori's place. On my way. I've got something for you. She texted back.

Joker laughed "Temper, temper baty never start with the head things go all fuzzy." he chuckled clearly enjoying this.

Alight. Lori curled on the bed still dressed nice to really wanting to do anything.

"That's the point." Batman growled, going in for a kick this time. "I won't let you get away again."

Gemini arrived at Lori's place and knocked on the window.

"It's open." Lori called loud enough for her to hear.

"Oh whoa is me the big bad bat is going to taking me in again." Joker laughed out right this time. "You can never keep me locked away I'll just keep coming back. Heck since I know who you are maybe you'll just give up some time."

Gemini slipped in and closed the window behind her. "Lori...he had to leave again." She said, already knowing.

Grabbing the Joker by the throat, Batman slammed him up against a wall. "I will never give up, as long as I draw breath."

"Then I'll always be here to ruin your day." Joker grimaced. "Unless your going to kill me instead of just putting me in another body cast." He grinned at him smugly.

"I know I just wish he would let them take care of it once and a while." Lori sighed and sat up. "How did tonight go?" She was use to the idea of Bruce needing to go out to do battle with evil.

Batman scowled. "I'd prefer to just cripple you for a while." He said darkly, bringing a knee up directly into the clown's stomach.

Gemini grinned. "It went pretty well, actually. Take a look." She pulled out a hefty looking bag and opened it, showing what must have been half of the jewelry store's inventory. "Not bad for my first night back, huh?"
