I like video games that are either cute or fantasy. Or both. Or dark beauty. Can't go wrong with dark beauty. Can definitely go wrong with too cute. *ahem Animal Crossing*
I was raised on The Sims from when it really WAS just "The Sims," so playing it is an important part of my life.

What do you do on The Sims?
Like, what is it about? I had a cousin who really loved The Sims when we were younger but I couldn't figure out what I was doing!

OMG I LOVE the Sims. What you do is whatever you want. It is like a virtual life. You can become a criminal, a doctor, writer, politician, scientist. You can have relationships, babies, have arch enemies.

when I went through my I'm going to be in the military phase all my characters were in the army. The parents, children, etc. haha.

Amane i'm the same i was brought up on sims too, and rollercoaster tycoon, and spyro the dragon, and mario 64 xDD

Will always love those games.

nowadays i like open map games/rpgs like dragonage and darksiders 2, or puzzles like portal, which made me love darksiders 2 all the more when it went portal style xD

Oh my! Me too. The first gaming system I had was a nintendo 64. Mario, qubert, and the little mermaid were like my favorite game. I can remember I had every spyro they made I was so addicted.Now I wanna play me some spyro. :(

Yeah. You make a family (each person is called a Sim), move them into a house or build your own and furnish it, and from there it's all up to you. You give each Sim their own personality and, in the newer games, an "aspiration" that is basically their ultimate life goal. They work, go to school, get hungry, get tired, get lonely, get stressed… pretty much, it's a simulation of the real world. Hence the name "Sim" for the inhabitants.

I just got The Sims 4, which is why I'm playing so much. These features are amazing. @_@

Hehe a couple of years ago i bought a 2nd hand ps2 again so i could play ps1 games, bought croc and spyro first!

I love building houses on sims, then creating a sim with a basic living, get them rich then move them in to the rich house, then have a business selling paintings i paint myself xDD

ROLLER COASTER TYCOON! I was thinking about that game earlier today! Or yesterday! I had that, Zoo Tycoon, The Sims, and a LOAD of Barbie games. So many Barbie games. I found SimCity in later years.
I still play The Sims 1 a lot because I've downloaded cool hax for it I have yet to see replicated in Sims 2, 3, or 4. And I know it best. I'm super familiar with its workings. In fact, I can do Sims 1 hax myself now. *victory dance* If I could make all those cool hax for Sims 3 or 4 myself? AW, MAN. YES. I wish‼ I wonder what it's like to do Sims 3/4 hax…

Haha ammeh yeah i do cause painting businesses take ages, i have to spend one day painting one day socialising then 1 day business, and they're only adults for what...23 days or so? NOT ENOUGH TIME FOR MY EMPIRE

I was still a little one when The Sims 2 came out. My momma said I wasn't allowed to play it because of some features that give the game its T rating. (Yes, The Sims 1 is also rated T. You're correct.) My sisters played it all the time. But I was not allowed. Meanwhile, the downloading community moved on, my favorite Sims 1 sites converted, and I was not a happy little seacow. That was another thing that made me hold Sims 1 so dear. I didn't have a newer Sims game until The Sims 3 came out. I told all my friends my momma would let me get it, and they were so happy for me. Omg. That was a magical day.

That sounds awesome. I never had Sims 1.

Really? I was just joking but what? I guess I figured it would happen sooner or later putting pregnant in high school in them because it happens so often here in real life.

I can imagine. I loved playing Sims 2. I had the Sims 2 for my PC and I had the Sims 2 castaway for PS2. I cannot remember how old I was but I don't think my parents ever really cared about game ratings, at least with me.

You can change the length of their lifespan to four(?) different levels in Sims 3 and 4. In Sims 3, you can change the length of each individual age, too. Pretty sure.

I make mine never age because I'm so used to it not being a feature. I don't make sims with their old age and death in mind! My kids are not to grow up! My families are as big as they're going to get from day one.

Oh, and power to you for not covering your game in cheats and hax.

I downloaded Sims 3 off the website for a cheaper price. It has been so long since I have played it, but I am scared to download it on this computer because it might bork and fry it.

Oh, sorry. I didn't see that post until just now and was gonna reply to it next! I said way to go about the 8k. That's not what happened, but that would be funny.
But, y'know, I was looking up something, and I found out teen pregnancy would actually bump the game up to an 18+ rating.

We could do whatever we wanted on the Internet, at least.

Yeah only cheat i use is sometimes that mood enhancer if they get super stressy cause i make them paint all day or the age off one, i used to go crazy with money cheats but once you get your mansion it gets a bit boring so i make another family haha.
