it's been like, two years since I've been in a pool, and even longer since I've been to a beach.

I love swimming, but it's too cold to swim in the ocean here, unless you have a wet suit, which I don't. :C

Yeah, swimmer's ear is where water gets stuck in your inner ear and can cause infections. My dad used to have it too, but he outgrew it. I haven't put my head into the water without plugging my ears since I was a kid, so I don't know if I would still get it or not. I just assume it's still an issue because I never want to go through that again. :gonk:

And I live in California, specifically the Central Valley area.
